Nintendo's acquisition of Japanese studio Cygames followed with the announcement of Dragalia Lost for mobile. Since the initial reveal of the free-to-start game, there's been an entire Direct about it. Now, Nintendo has released a new story trailer for the title on its mobile YouTube channel to continue the marketing campaign leading up to the release on 27th September.
At this point in time, the game will be released in the US, Japan, Hong Kong and Macau. If you pre-register for the game on the official website and sign up with an NNID or your email address on the App Store or Google Play, you'll receive some extra Wyrmite (in-game currency) when you start the game.
Are you more interested in this multiplayer co-op game after watching the above trailer? What did you think about the recent mobile direct? Will you be playing this on release? Tell us below.

Was interested when this was announced long ago. Fact that it's coming to mobiles outside of Japan makes it an easy decision to go and try it out
Stop caring at "in-game currency"
You know it is a Mobile game when the traditional "CG story trailer" looks like it was made with Adobe Flash 🙄
Sorry Nintendo, but even you can't make me care about mobile games...
I was mildly interested in this before but ugh, that animation.
Don't worry King Dromarch I'll save you ... or something. Maybe? This looks like a trailer that somehow has spoilers. I'll try the game out but I'm very hesitant to spend money on mobile games that are free to start because most of the time the investment is a LOT.
If mobile games for Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing, both series I love on proper gaming devices, could not hold my attention on mobile, what makes you think I care about a new IP on mobile?
Mobile games, with touch screen only controls, full of free-to-PAY micro-transactions and time limits and just ugh. No thank you.
If it was anyone but Nintendo, I would care less. But Gacha mechanics is a huge red flag for me. Having it be a brand new IP with Gacha mechanics does make me want to not give a dime depending on how greedy they are.
I was apprehensive when they first announced this game, but the trailers and info since then has convinced me. This is going to be a hard pass. I'm just not interested.
ouch, that animation. i'll probably try it out, but im not spending a dime on it's P2W/Gacha stuff.
This looks so not Nintendo that it frightens me they put there name to it in any way. It simply echos nothing of what I love about Nintendo. If they go this direction more in the future I'll be going another direction.
I'm actually rather confused about Nintendo wanting an association with the likes of this company/game. Yes I get the money side - but I think it is so damaging to the Nintendo brand.
All I can say is mobile games are trash.
I was under the impression there wasn't any story, it was just never ending battles, but if there's an endpoint to the progression I'll give it a try.
The main voice actor is pretty bad but I can't imagine the actual game has much voice acting anyway, more NNK2 than DQXI which I started last night. Silent protagonist for the win.
I don't care about the story is these gatcha mobile games
But the gameplay looks really cool and the multiplayer mode sold me the game
Well, it's still a mobile game, so it's not that awesome, but it still looks pretty good for a mobile game, so I'll try
But I live in Europe so ... Well whatever I'll take it with a way or another
Oh, and of course I will not spend a single cent on this
@Heavyarms55 I honestly just pull up Animal Crossing when I'm here at my desk running long report queues, just to get platinum coins for DS themes.
@HobbitGamer That's fine. I play Pokemon Go while I commute. But largely because I walk, a lot. If I had no reason to walk as much as I do, I'd never touch it. Same sort of thing.
@onery except stupid N limits the countryes you can download it in for no reason!
@Heavyarms55 Yup, we're clearly not the intended financial backers for these things, haha. I don't really play Pokemon Go because it's a 20 minute drive into town, and a fairly rural area at that. So unless I'm traveling around the uni campus across town, not many stops close to each other. Depending on the integration with Let's Go and the pokeball, I may make an effort.
@HobbitGamer I live in Japan, I don't even own a car because anywhere I can't walk to, I can just hop on a train to get to. Or rarely, if needed, a bus. Even in rural areas, of which I live in, there are almost always at least a handful of stops. You'd really have to go out in the middle of nowhere to find areas with none in Japan. lol
Heck I have seen a few places in Kyoto and Osaka where two stops are so close together that it is hard to select them!
@Heavyarms55 that’s a wild difference. I’m in southern farm country of the States.
Meh. Funny how I'm a big fan of Nintendo and Cygames but with NintendoMobile continuing their laughable shenanigans and policies I'm starting to feel bad that Cygames was bought by them.
Well done Nintendo... I love you except your Mobile offerings XD
As it's free-to-start, I'll likely end up trying this out at some point. I won't be pouring any money into this, however.
As a skimpily clothed young female with amnesia about your true nature, your task is to save the world of Dragalia, and the village that adopted and raised you in the shadow of your mysterious origins, from the sudden emergence of the forces of C.L.I.C.H.E. before they can devour the world. Can you awaken your ancestral powers of Derivation and summon the legendary Duce X. Machine in time?
I'm in.
@HobbitGamer I bet there's a whole lot of nothing out there. I remember driving through Ohio and Illinois when I was younger and farmland for hours at a time...
@Heavyarms55 southeast Georgia, 60 miles from ole Savannah. Cotton, corn, and peanuts lol
@HobbitGamer Isn't that like, exactly where the Walking Dead Telltale series takes place? lol
Yep, pretty much. I’m on the direct route between Atlanta, Macon, and Savannah. I’ve been on many of the streets in Season one haha. Not only that, but I used to live in SC about 10 minutes from the Charleston. route in the Falling Skies show, too. Apparently I can’t escape alien or zombie apocalypse ground zeroes.
@RichardZ Well, it's annoying sure. Not entirely sure the reason for the limited release on mobile... if it's a regulation issue or development or something else. Regardless, will pull up one of my alt a/cs for this.
Looks okay, that's all.
