This is definitely my new favorite game. I hadn't tried any other version of A-train (but since this I've also tried classic). It's extremely addicting, couldn't stop playing for weeks. For me, it's up there with monster hunter, Zelda and the likes. Not sure why I've never tried it.
Gave the patch a quick try and at least from my feeling, it feels a lot smoother in the city/overworld. A lot (if not all) of the jitter/slowdown seems to be gone. Great performance update
@NotTelevision this. Even though I've enjoyed skyrim, it's going to be hard going back after this. Hopefully elder scrolls 6 take some hints from kingdom come
@ozwally first time player here. I agree the first hours are a bit slow. But after some more hours you might get addicted, like me, the there is no going back 😅 really like their thought process developing this.
@TYRANACLES 5 is a good starting point, just as fun. You have Undo Grass which lets you escape with all your stuff, so you can upgrade your weapon/shield, use them for your next run, upgrade more until they are powerful. Weapons alone is not enough though, you need to make use of items you find along the way. Some items might seem "generic" but are powerful, highly recommend the tutorial section in Shiren 5 (all tutorial missions). Either way, I see this kind of like tetris, every time you play it's slightly randomized, and you need to adapt to the situations etc. It makes it really addicting.
@DudeshootMankill I think both 5 and 6 are awesome, I'm currently playing 5, a great place to start. Will last for at least as long, possibly longer with all post-game content once you are hooked you're gonna want the next entry. So yes, start with 5
@LikelySatan it's a bit expensive yes, but will probably be on sale shortly enough. For me however it was totally worth it, haven't had this much fun since elden ring and armored core, in a turn based intense kind of way, so many hours of gameplay 😅 very polished gameplay. But yeah, not a game for everybody.
I usually don't comment on scores, but I will say this is a 10/10 for me (as well as the 5th entry). It's simple, yet so deep with so many interesting items and strategies. I'm having a "revelation" close to when I got addicted to monster hunter the first time. This game deserves to be more recognized and I hope this sells well. It's so fun, close to a "perfect game" for me. I hope they make a lot of money and make another one with even higher production values.
While it sounds great, there is a song that "for me" sounds like an even better tribute, August burns red - the legends of zelda. Maybe because it uses the actual zelda melodies or something, anyway just my 2 cents..
Time to switch to Godot. Put a lot of money and time into unity, but this means we (the devs) are being punished for working hard on creating games... As many have said, this is the time for Godot to shine. Switching today, this hour, porting all current work done in unity to Godot, even if it takes 6 months or more.
Yes, I forgot the name of a game I played when I was young. I asked Notch on twitter and he responded. Hmm, Oh no I have forgotten again!!!! Edit: checked twitter, it was Bio Menace.
In the trailer when "the character" teleports through the floor, it looks like a skirt. Considering that and the fact that the character in the sky shots have long hair, could it be Zelda/a woman? They never show us the face...
SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions. It's worthy of a review. Some sites give it 10/10, it have a great turnbased combat system, one of the best I've seen. Please look into it!
Also waiting for a review. Bought it on a whim and turns out it's got one of my favourite combat systems so far. Requires much more strategy than usual, and feels really fresh Would be nice to see other peoples opinion!
@Cobalt I recommend Labyrinth Of Refrain (if you haven't tried it already). It's not quite Etrian Oddysey, but it's still a great game, made by NIS, the developers of Disgaea..
There looks to be a bug. When coming to the first boss, the boss doesn't load. He just sits in his chair, and I cannot do anything, not even leave the room. Anyone else experienced this yet?

@Ryu_Niiyama you reach a certain point in the game some hours in, past the first town, and you can then start it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 9th)
Shiren the wanderer serpentcoil island, most addicting game since the last decade.

Shiren the wanderer should be #1
Re: Review: Shiren The Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon Of Serpentcoil Island (Switch) - A Thrilling Return For A Beloved Series
@DudeshootMankill Very expensive indeed. But a very good game, lasts a long time. Like tetris, can be replayed forever basically

4.5 of those gb is an audio language pack (for non-English voices), so if you don't need those the size is only 18.9 gb.
