Re: Minecraft's Steve Revealed As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Next DLC Fighter

I don’t get the salt. Every new character is something new to experience in a fun game I enjoy playing. Minecraft is an icon from gaming that goes beyond just gaming. The game is truly a great playing experience.
Older people might feel like they are too old for Minecraft but then again, my Dad has put in hundreds of hours into the game and he’s in his 60s.
Hipsters might not like Minecraft because it is popular but there are legitimate reasons why the series is so popular and remains so after such a long time.
Some high brow folks might not think that Steve graphically fits in Smash but he completely works for the same reason Mr Game & Watch works. Even in the trailer they play on the stiffness of the character and how lifeless he looks. His movement is sharp a deliberate. The rigidity is played up for the comedy of it.
Seriously, if you’re mad about Minecraft being included in Smash then you must have a difficult time having fun.

@Daniel36 here’s the thing. I have mixed feelings about making the co-op more accessible and on one screen. While part of me would really enjoy being able to easily play with a group of friends in the same room; I also have a great deal of respect at attempting to keep the whole of the original experience in tact as much as possible. Nothing will quite capture the experience of playing with 5 screens.

Re: Random: Epic Goes To War With Apple, Asks Players To "Join The Fight" And "Free Fortnite"

@PrincessAzunyan the commercial is a reference to Apple's "1984" commercial from the year 1984. The reason this was used was not to reference anything in the book. In Apple's commercial they were claiming the Macintosh was going to free people from the boring and over powered Windows PC. Epic is calling out Apple as the new boring and overpowered company (this commercial was more for Apple than it was for its fans). A little ironic coming from Epic, if you ask me.

I find it interesting that people think this is ugly but would think a traditional mini-figure would look fine.
It’s also interesting to see some people claim this is only for kids or only for adults when other comments state that an adult had fun with their kid playing with this.

@ecco6t9 at first I paid little attention to this game existing as I scrolled past its article. I thought it might be a game where you played a John Twitch making sure Gamer Girl didn’t get too sexy and scare away advertisers.
Now that I know what the game is I don’t understand the problem. You play as a moderator for a streamer that has a stalker. It’s a mystery game it’s a thriller, it draws on real life as a way to draw attention to bad behavior that happens everyday and scary situations that can and do arise for people with an online presence.
Sure it is all wrapped in a rather lame package that would only appeal to a crowd of people that deeply care about issues online harassment and stalking; which severely limits the effectiveness of such a game, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with the overall concept.

@TG16_IS_BAE @Slowdive commenting on Nintendo Life is hardly different than commenting on Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.

The internet is a double edge sword. Instant access to almost any information you could ever want and all of the different cultures of the world, but also the elevation of conspiracy theories, hatred, and shallow exploitation of our selves for empty admiration.
We might not all fall into the trap. You and I might be fine for now but the internet is the catalyst of the self imposed degradation of society.
