Performance mode not being 60 and instead 40 is really hard

This seems like standard practice for every major game they release.
Not to mention OoT is one of their move beloved games.

I'm honestly surprised that Bethesda gave a competent port.
One thing skyrim and themselves are known for are just a bunch of bugs at launch or bugs that stay the entire games lifespan.

This dev team has all my respect for making the HD2D style alone.
Also just popularizing demo feedback and taking it so seriously.

My thoughts exactly. It would be one thing if people were actually saying stuff like he was claiming related to the framerrate, but no one was hence he was the one being insufferable.

Performance does matter and it will affect gameplay, some genres much more than others as mentioned.

I don't get why some people get so defensive when these discussions come into play.

The only "grade school playground" behavior I see is labeling anyone saying anything remotely negative or critical as snobby and I called it out as such.

Yeah no disrespect to the other guy but it gets to a point where people need to realize that not every game is going to cater to them and obviously they won't like it.
Just play something else instead of asking a game to change it's whole identity lol.

The games don't need to parrot from Expedition 33, they just aren't for you, and thats fine. JRPGs themselves are a broad genre anyway.

NA has more energy, color, straight to the point and overall much more pleasing to look at than the JP variant.

You're making a lot of a assumptions about people here commenting just from one hand statements, says a lot more you about you than it does about them and just reeks insecurity.

It's fine if you're ok with the performance, but if some people aren't ok with it and feel like it should be up to standard, then naturally, they're going to comment on it. And they have the right to.
And like it or not, certain genres do demand higher framerrates and suffer if they don't meet 60fps - like fighting games, platformers, metroidvanias, fps etc.
This isn't some turn based rpg, it's a action platforming metroidvanias, a lower fps is objectively going to make the game feel worse to play.

Prioritizing the original switch version over the Switch 2 is certainly a choice.

Honestly I didn't feel like 3 differentiated itself that much from 2.
I prefer the direction they're going and just expanding the franchise in other ways with spinoffs right now.

I can wait a bit for a new entry in the series, though I don't speak for everybody.

This just seems for people who never played it and happen to have a Switch 2.

This honestly shouldn't anything more than $30 if I'm being honest, and I would still say that pushing it.

Game is almost a decade old and the definitive edition isn't that much younger.

Just because other companies are also shooting themselves in the foot doesn't mean the opinion of Nintendo has risen as a result lol.

Nintendo was the first to push $80 games and normalized it.

Nintendo isn't that fair behind from Playstation when it comes to being anti consumer, in fact before the disc cancelled playstation did, you could easily argue Nintendo was the worst out of the 3.

While I didn't get that far in D5 (free switch trial).
It at least made up it's lack of a decent story in gameplay alone and still retained the Disgaea feel imo.

The series hasn't been the same since it hit 3D.

I expected this but it's still a shame that it turned out this way.
Maybe if the game is really cheap down the line I'll give it a shot.

The Switch could easily outsell the PS2 if it had a price cut.

Hope they refine the Frontiers formula instead of doing a 180 on their game design.

Pretty neat but honestly the pro controller is probably in my top 3 controllers of all time.
Don't see much appeal in the other companies, especially the playstation ones...

Though one flaw I'd give the pro controller would be it's D-pad, that and it's drift.

The gameplay looked good but I'm saying that I'm moreso worried for the base switch version.

Genuinely surprised with how successful this turned out to be.

But first impressions on the world looked a bit rough, mostly regarding the environments and textures.
Models were fine tho.

Going to assume that the gameplay shown was strictly from the Switch 2 version.
Doubt it'll peform that well.

100% deserved, joycons were designed like garbage and Nintendo constantly denied the drift for years.

I miss being able to replace my batteries for things.
It was so convenient for my old samsung for example.
