But sadly corporations would rather sit on their ips sitting dust instead of giving quality content.

Good, the patent was so vague it's clear that Nintendo was trying to swindle the system and bully PocketPair.

This is a win for the consumer.
Game mechanics should never be patented.

Good on the devs, most other devs would've probably made you double dip without any regard for your wallet.

Smash Movie doesn't sound like it would make sense honestly.
Maybe if they went with a Lego Movie approach where a kid is playing with his toys and thats animated but I'm not going to hold my breath.

It seems like it's the direction they're going for since Starfox and Pikmin are apparently shoehorned in the galaxy movie.
But I don't know how involved Miyamoto is.

Well thats a shame.
It looks like they're going to shove a bunch of references and plot points from multiple games and as a result, the story and pacing are going to suffer from it.
Which was just as I expected.

I'm still going to watch it, my grandma really wants to see it so I'm sure it'll be an entertaining watch in the very least.

Honestly this looks like a pretty smooth transition to 3D.

Playing smash with friends for the first time in years.
When the online isn't being garbage it's really fun.

And single player I'm playing Disgaea and Monster Hunter Stories 3.

The artstyle definitely has me interested.

I don't see it being supported very long.
Other games are starting to abandon support for last gen consoles.
The finals for example just announced they'll stop supporting the PS4, which is worrying because thats around the Switch 2's power.

@WOLF13 Bundled games are included with sales yes but Mario Kart is undoubtedly a system seller.
The gap between the sales of the other games proves this, and with other Nintendo consoles as well.

The problem is that you need more system sellers and with more variety.
not everyone is going to get a switch for mario kart, especially when it's not that different from it's predecessor which is on a cheaper console.

What we need as mentioned earlier are other big hitters like Mario, Smash Bros etc.

Mario Kart is consistently one of the best selling games across all Nintendo consoles.
Not to mention it's also the highest selling game on the Nintendo switch 2.

It just needs more system sellers and people need to be left in the dark less.

The Nintendo Switch 1 had very consistent roadmaps that told you what games were releasing throughout the year and Nintendo made sure that the droughts were, for the most part, few and far between.

I imagine they'll be a huge spike in sales once Pokemon Wind and Waves releases or a new Smash bros title.

I'm personally holding off on buying one because it has no games that interest me yet.
Once a new Xenoblade or Smash drops I'm definitely buying it though.

This feels like a non statement from both sides if I'm being honest.

I think the demo was pretty fun, wish it was longer so I could get a better impression of it. I'll probably revisit it again sometime this week.

I liked the 1.5D gameplay during combat and found it very interesting, though my issue is that the controls for hacking felt awkward.
But it does mostly feel good to play and didn't run like garbage unlike MH Wilds so it has my interest.

Should've been there at launch.

They'll stop porting it when people stop buying it as they said themselves.

Not sure if these recent ports are a result of the switch dev kits being distributed late or just laziness.

Probably going to sell out in 10 minutes then be resold for $10,000 by scalpers.

Damn Metroid Prime 4 being rated the lowest among it's series is pretty sad to see, especially after the long wait.

An 8/10 is still good though.

Eh not interested in it right now, but I could consider getting it down the line when I eventually get a Switch 2.

Though all those clips of that "backseat character" are making me raise an eyebrow.

Pretty embarrassing, looks like features that should've been there when the app launched.

Console sales are usually not that impressive and few and far between (especially for Nintendo)

Steam however it's trying to steal my wallet from how many good deals I'm seeing.

Ubisoft will probably find a way to screw this up.

Honestly it's really hard for me to ever considering doubling down on merch like this, even for my favorite series.
Most I have are a few figurines and small metal posters I hung in my room.

I can't justify the pricing on artbooks like this most of the time personally, probably because I'm extremely paranoid of ruining it myself barely even looking at it.

Huh this is my first time hearing of this game, and I did not expect this much praise for it looking at it from a glance.
Maybe I should try it out.

@Ganner Oh you're right, I'm sure the file size has a great personality.

I feel like everything gaming related has taken a price hike, micro SDS, games, consoles, the PC market is probably the worst it's been ever been probably with all the insane ram, graphics, etc. being at an all time high.

Haven't played it (Don't own a Switch 2), but it looks more fun than Mario Kart World at least.

Not the worst size but not the best either.

I couldn't agree more, this style of writing was good when it was in short bursts and didn't change the tone of the entire piece of media I was consuming.
It's why I'm torn on Guardians of the Galaxy - on one hand it's one of my favorite movies, but it also started the trend of the MCU shoving jokes down everyones throats.

I also really confused with why they thought adding this character was a good idea. I thought people were very vocal that they DIDN'T like having theirr hand held in the form of a character like Atreus from God of War.
This is probably the type of game where it makes the LEAST sense to add that kind of trope.

Barely watch streamers if I'm being honest.
It's more fun to just share the moment in person with friends, even in voice calls.

I feel like the people that use DF as an argument should be more to blame the studio themselves, they've always analyzed games on a technical level and I respect them for that.
It is valuable information to have on how good a game runs or looks, as either can be a deal breaker for people.

I consider 5 average 6 decent 7 good, 8 great, 9 amazing and 10 a masterpiece.
1-4 being different levels of bad.

You just wrote a whole bunch of nothing to just say you really like this game and it deserves a 9.51/10 because you said so.
Which is fine... because it's your opinion, but you're passing your own ruleset as objective which is the problem.

Someone rating the game a 7/10 is just as valid as you giving it your score. It's not a bad score it's just what they thought of the game.

It's almost like different opinions exist.

The funniest thing I read was a thread of comments predicting all the types of jokes the guy might say.

I hope that "backseat" character isn't too relevant, thats probably the most jarring decision I seen for a series like Metroid.
