I'm honestly surprised that Bethesda gave a competent port. One thing skyrim and themselves are known for are just a bunch of bugs at launch or bugs that stay the entire games lifespan.
My thoughts exactly. It would be one thing if people were actually saying stuff like he was claiming related to the framerrate, but no one was hence he was the one being insufferable.
Performance does matter and it will affect gameplay, some genres much more than others as mentioned.
I don't get why some people get so defensive when these discussions come into play.
@iLikeUrAttitude
What exactly is there for a non-frame rate "snob" to be insecure about? Is this supposed to be like grade school playground copium during console wars about claiming to not care about graphics because you can't afford to?
The only "grade school playground" behavior I see is labeling anyone saying anything remotely negative or critical as snobby and I called it out as such.
Yeah no disrespect to the other guy but it gets to a point where people need to realize that not every game is going to cater to them and obviously they won't like it. Just play something else instead of asking a game to change it's whole identity lol.
Basic criticism isn't being whiny and negative, the only insufferable thing I'm seeing if you brushing off everything thats even remotely negative as being a snob.
You're making a lot of a assumptions about people here commenting just from one hand statements, says a lot more you about you than it does about them and just reeks insecurity.
It's fine if you're ok with the performance, but if some people aren't ok with it and feel like it should be up to standard, then naturally, they're going to comment on it. And they have the right to. And like it or not, certain genres do demand higher framerrates and suffer if they don't meet 60fps - like fighting games, platformers, metroidvanias, fps etc. This isn't some turn based rpg, it's a action platforming metroidvanias, a lower fps is objectively going to make the game feel worse to play.
Wanting a game to be up to basic standards isn't being a "framerate snob". Especially since platformers and metroidvanias have consistently been 60fps since inception.
Honestly I didn't feel like 3 differentiated itself that much from 2.
I prefer the direction they're going and just expanding the franchise in other ways with spinoffs right now.
I can wait a bit for a new entry in the series, though I don't speak for everybody.
Just because other companies are also shooting themselves in the foot doesn't mean the opinion of Nintendo has risen as a result lol.
Nintendo was the first to push $80 games and normalized it.
The company with the most garbage online, virtual console, and one is currently trying to patent troll some indie company it felt threatened by (and losing) like pocket pair?
Nintendo isn't that fair behind from Playstation when it comes to being anti consumer, in fact before the disc cancelled playstation did, you could easily argue Nintendo was the worst out of the 3.
While I didn't get that far in D5 (free switch trial). It at least made up it's lack of a decent story in gameplay alone and still retained the Disgaea feel imo.
Pretty neat but honestly the pro controller is probably in my top 3 controllers of all time. Don't see much appeal in the other companies, especially the playstation ones...
Though one flaw I'd give the pro controller would be it's D-pad, that and it's drift.

Re: Dragon Quest Franchise Surpasses 100 Million Units Sold
It's a funny thought that 90% of those sales are from Japan alone.
Hopefully DQ12 comes out this decade though.
Re: Diablo IV Switch 2 Performance And Resolution Officially Revealed
Performance mode not being 60 and instead 40 is really hard
Re: ICYMI: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World Demo Out Now On eShop
Really interested in this game but Im worried about the performance on the base switch.
Re: Multiple amiibo Listings Have Apparently Been Spotted On GameStop's Internal Database
@Pak-Man
They always sold well no?
This seems like standard practice for every major game they release.
Not to mention OoT is one of their move beloved games.
Re: Multiple amiibo Listings Have Apparently Been Spotted On GameStop's Internal Database
They look very nice actually, shame that I Zelda never interested me.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 13.0.5 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@foursider Not going to lie you have to be a special type of delusional to expect any new content years after the last major patch.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 13.0.5 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Was genuinely surprised and got excited then got disappointed very quickly.

Not a bethesda game without a bunch of bugs
Re: Octopath Traveler Dev Not Ready To Announce A Third Major Entry Yet, But Is Aware Of High Expectations
This dev team has all my respect for making the HD2D style alone.
Also just popularizing demo feedback and taking it so seriously.

Well least it didn't take that long for a patch.

Re: Review: Big Walk (Switch 2) - A Co-Op Adventure Like Nothing Else That Somehow Struggles On Switch 2
Yeah... this doesn't look like an intensive game at all.
Probably a shoddy port.

Sorry gamers, Nintendo needs that extra money to fund the Palworld lawsuit lol.
Re: Dragon Quest XI S Switch 2 Version Estimated File Size Revealed
@Lumi777 I don't either, the base switch version was perfectly playable and had no performance issues from my experience.
This just seems for people who never played it and happen to have a Switch 2.
Double dipping is a waste of money.
Re: Dragon Quest XI S Switch 2 Version Estimated File Size Revealed
This honestly shouldn't anything more than $30 if I'm being honest, and I would still say that pushing it.
Game is almost a decade old and the definitive edition isn't that much younger.

The series hasn't been the same since it hit 3D.
Re: Review: Disgaea Mayhem (Switch 2) - The Tactical RPG Series Tackles Action To Mixed Results
I expected this but it's still a shame that it turned out this way.
Maybe if the game is really cheap down the line I'll give it a shot.
Re: Nintendo Will Stop Selling The Original Switch From February 2027
Genuinely surprised they aren't milking it like Playstation did.
The Switch could easily outsell the PS2 if it had a price cut.
Re: Sonic Frontiers Has Sold Just Shy Of 5 Million Copies
Hope they refine the Frontiers formula instead of doing a 180 on their game design.

Re: PSA: Digimon Story Time Stranger Demo Now Available For Switch 1 & 2
@NerdyPaul Probably should've been more specific.
The gameplay looked good but I'm saying that I'm moreso worried for the base switch version.
Re: Ninjala Returns With An Open-World Sequel Exclusive To Switch 2 In 2027
Genuinely surprised with how successful this turned out to be.
But first impressions on the world looked a bit rough, mostly regarding the environments and textures.
Models were fine tho.
Re: PSA: Digimon Story Time Stranger Demo Now Available For Switch 1 & 2
Going to assume that the gameplay shown was strictly from the Switch 2 version.
Doubt it'll peform that well.
Re: Nintendo Fined €35 Million Over Widespread Joy-Con Defects
@Otimus I imagine they make a good amount of money from repairs or just buying outright replacements.
The PS2 and Xbox 360 weren't strangers to that.
Re: Nintendo Fined €35 Million Over Widespread Joy-Con Defects
100% deserved, joycons were designed like garbage and Nintendo constantly denied the drift for years.
Re: Nintendo Confirms Switch 2 Revision For Europe
I miss being able to replace my batteries for things.
It was so convenient for my old samsung for example.
But I get it's more profitable to pay for repairs and replacements...

IIRC one of the HD2D DQ games were officially revealed in a direct along with a release date.

@JohnnyMind Maybe they're saving footage for either Summer Games fest or tokyo games show.

Huh, maybe I won't have to wait that long for this game then.
