by Square Enix has today announced that the Dragon Quest franchise has now surpassed 100 million units sold.
The milestone was acknowledged with a short video from creator Yuji Horri, in which he thanked fans for their support while ensuring folks are aware about the upcoming launch of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World.
This achievement has recently been helped along by remakes over the past few years, including Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, and Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. The series kicked off back in 1986 and has since gone on to be hugely popular in Japan and worldwide.
