Cuphead has come a long way since his initial release in 2017. He's got a spirit event and Mii Fighter costume in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and has even signed a deal with Netflix.
In an attempt to continue building the character's profile, Cuphead developer Studio MDHR is now teaming up with the US fast-food chain "Arby's" to release a special toy line. Here's what the studio had to say about this collaboration, along with a look at the launcher token that's available:
It's a good day for a swell battle, as Cuphead comes to Arby's! Bring the family to a participating location near you and enjoy all-new Cuphead toys with purchase of a Kids Meal. Make memories building and battling papercraft versions of the Inkwell Isle's fiercest bosses!
Oh, and if this has got you wondering about Cuphead's 'Delicious Last Course' DLC, it will apparently arrive "when it's ready" according to Studio MDHR. Will you be making a trip to your nearest Arby's to pick up one of these toys? Leave a comment down below.
Man when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was for the last course dlc.
Didn't think Cuphead was the kind of franchise that appealed to kids.
This is a better crossover in my eyes then anything else... I thought smash was as good as it gets but arbies and cuphead is just next level.
@Toy_Link just thinking that...
This isn't indie anymore
@Northwind you're in for a rough time in the comments... arbies is pretty good. I get some people don't like certain things I'm fine with that but other people will not be so kind lol
Also great profile picture
@TossedLlama it's why I'm depressed and have anxiety.
@Northwind haha lol
Anyone remember when they gave legendary pokemon cards I happy meals? I sure as hell do and I sure as hell will NEVER forget when I got a zekrom with my nugs
Shame you’d have to eat there to get one lol
Cool, but where's that DLC?
@gojiguy its a indie’s dream
Too bad Arby's sucks. At this point, you'd have to pay me to go there.
Eat trash. Earn treasure.
Really? Arby's? I saw some of their food online and to be honest, it doesn't look very delicious. No wonder Family Guy always makes fun of this fast-food chain restaurant.
Arby’s and Cuphead toys...how...random!
Arby’s = RBs = Roast Beef
Get on with the DLC.
@Toy_Link These days kids come as being thirty-somethings (myself included lol!)
@Northwind <ackshually voice> You’re not supposed to compost meat the worms don’t like it! Fruits and veggies, please!
@Toy_Link my 6 year old loves it. She’s not GOOD at it, but she loves it
Ehh, I was hoping they'd be actual figures instead of a sticker on a disc launcher to hit papercraft bosses. Kinda lame.
@Toy_Link As far as I remembered, Arby's always marketed itself as a "mature" restaurant. Even in the '90s taking a direct shot by saying they were for people "ready to grow up from clown food".
@RareFan The classic Simpsons "I'm so hungry I could eat at Arby's!" (when the school children crashed on a deserted island) was a pretty spot-on joke.
I like the idea behind the toys in that they look like paper craft keeping the 2D true to its style. But you would have to pay me to go to Arbys and then even after that, I'd still probably just throw the food away and keep the toys
Ahhhh Arby's where dreams go to die.... speaking of which, I wonder if Cuphead is susceptible to type 2 diabetes....
At least their made out of paper, which should delay the coming plastic apocalypse by a few seconds.
“ When McDonald's has their periodic Pokemon toys in stock, they mostly sell them to adults.”
The most depressing sentence ever written.
When your entire business concept is that you are the destination for roast beef yet you serve up the worst tasting imitation roast beef ever tasted by mankind...
