People won't be culturally persuaded towards labo because of something like this. People are smarter than that.

The problem with Nintendo is that they typically sh*t the bed when it comes to sustaining success. Labo isn't a good sign that they've learned lessons of the past.

The saddest part about Switch online (and every Nintendo attempt at online each console generation) is that it will be completely scrapped and overhauled on the next console generation for something entirely different.

Actually, I'd argue that there's only a handful (if that) of 3rd parties actually supporting switch. I wouldn't go so far as to say "everybody else".

@RainbowGazelle in this regard, the portable nature of switch isa detriment. I'm sure they dont want people saving to external hard drives and then undocking their switches and being screwed.

@holygeez03 this is actually the use case of a lot of switch owners. They only really use the online to play a game or three and that's it.

Those NES games won't have any value to the lot of you 2 or 3 months from now, stop kidding yourselves.

Something else people aren't even considering in here.... sure, it's $20 a year right now.

Let's see what Nintendo prices it at going forward as more "features" trickle out at a Nintendo like pace.

With Xbox Live @ $60 a year I'm given 3 free games a month. As in, 3 current gen games. XB360 games I get for free I also keep even if I cancel the service.

Also, no matter how you spin it, that NES thing is a joke. Even the folks defending it are operating off of the assumption that there will eventually be SNES and N64 (and beyond) games available as well.

$20 a year for save back ups. Wowzers.
