I think this is a good thread that shows all censorship that all companies did. (Also Sony also kinda uh... agreed to let Omega Labyrinth Z to release on the Western countries, then rescind that agreement when it was about time to release. That's kinda... really bad)
@TempOr I'm not sure about in the original game, but it doesn't seem there's aim for censorship anyway.
@DrLockdown yeah, the worst thing is that this can easily be solved by hiring a J-E translator! It's weird that the top brass of news site don't really have a translator enrolled, at least the likes of IGN at minimum, it's not like they need translator in a lot of amount too.
Finished playing this game some time ago and man, this game is great. Really hooked me with the drinks and the characters. Love them and how they handle relationship and things too
Going to get: Astral Chain, DQ XI S, Pokemon Shield Need to wait for sale / money problem: Luigi's Mansion 3 Will buy at PC: Trials of Mana, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin.
"And we know there was effort put into the code - character names can be more than six letters long now.
From what Neill Corlett said back in the day, trying to do that on his end would've done insane violence to the ROM. That's why Hawkeye & Charlotte were renamed in the fanTL."
So it seems they do remake the code at least in part- and this is a proof of it. So it must not be emulation is what I gather from here.
(And yeah, fan translation is pretty crazy, people that do it for fun without any sort of payments are amazing)
@Yorumi That is true, although some are more problematic than the rest (my only problems are when people said that the game has problems and still drop money by the hundreds of dollars...)
@Yorumi And I've played since the beginning... Like yeah, it's a bit oppressive at start? Not too bad, but it is rough. Once they started to implement feedbacks are when they started to really throw things though. Like ensuring first 10-pull get 5 stars now. (And for oldies, they get 5 star ticket)
Nonetheless by now they are massively so generous it's crazy, like during New Year log in I think we got 3 tenfold voucher and 2000 wyrmite for 7 days log in. There's also a lot of Quality of Life updates with making rooms (able to put conditions), crafting now can let you just skip straight to the next weapon tree if you have enough materials, etc.
@Yorumi Alright, for Fire Emblem Heroes I can give you that- they recently has gone power-creep mode, and starting to give less so we can say they are definitely less generous, and you definitely need tons more luck.
But Dragalia? That game singlehandedly is one of the most generous game out there, with players being given tenfold, summons by heaps. Not to count that Wyrmprint is now out of the summons, etc
I'm completely F2P at Dragalia and even now I already have 2-3 5* PER element, and still has 300+ summons saved up thanks to the fact they also lowered the amount of Wyrmite you need to summon (150 -> 120)
Maybe you can define what you meant on the "friendly to free players"?
The music for the newest event is amazing! <3 I would love to spend some on this game, at least for the beginner pack, but unfortunately I chose to spend on some other things :')
@Yasaal well apk is only dangerous if you took them from weird sites... Or trying to find non-legit version hue. But I understand the apprehensiveness, even if it's safe it's still feel unsafe because it's not officially at store.
And it might be because mario run is one time purchase while this is... Gacha
@rjejr Aah, gotcha then. That make sense, I also find that this one's English VA is definitely not the worse I hear (heck, I think even XC2 while I can bear it, is still worse than this one).
@Yasaal I'm also not at US/any of those select countries, and if you are using Android, just using APK is pretty simple matter since there's a lot of places that offer it (Although I understand reasoning of not wanting to go over the hoop to use apk). This happens a lot anyway, iirc games like PuzzlexDragons or like Terra Battle never came out of US for english version...
Nintendo is definitely one of the worst though, the other being Gungho and Square Enix (only for gacha/f2p games, their premium stuff is released everywhere for SE) off the top of my head. But in the end I figure that if I really want to play them I'll just use apk since it's easy lol
@Heavyarms55 Ah, understandable. I haven't searched much of Touhou fangames admittedly, so I can't share much except those two since I played one, and Luna Nights got 99% positive out of 600+ review on Steam.
I'll hope more of the Touhou good fangames will be ported to Switch since most of them are on Steam orz
@Heavyarms55 if you don't mind playing on PC, I would say try out Touhou Puppet Dance Perfomance, or Touhou Luna Nights. Those two looks excellent, and Luna Nights are accessible on Steam
@DarkScythe13 I mean, maybe they'll still have those Vs. Seeker... And now you have unlimited Pokeballs by training against people, and then get the money but who knows, did Vs. Seeker ever come back after their introduction in FR/LG?
@MysticMask I think you do but I'm not sure, and when you catch Pokemon you also get EXP yes (Although getting EXP from catching isn't limited to this one). Nonetheless, the Pokemon you caught then you can throw away to the Professor to be certain type of Candy for stat-boosting (idk if this is for EV training or IV or what though)
@MysticMask Against wild Pokemon is berry to catch them easier + motion control if at console mode, the handheld mode iirc is just aiming with the handheld then press a button to throw (not exactly sure, but this is what I remember).
Battles are like original games, yes, not the crazy tapping fast/charged attack from Pokemon GO.
Here, this link shows the differences. So far I find it's really excellent game- except a lot of niggling annoyances on the story, as well as the fact that they reuse A LOT of the music (Some remixes will go a looooong way for that >.<) Often I felt like the music didn't feel fitting on that part of the game, and the changes are often too jarring.
And that's awesome, rip for that respawning though. I think I'll wait for Dead Cells / Hollow Knight for now (then buy West of Loathing xD)
Playing Tokyo Xanadu Ex+ on my PC, almost finishing it so I hope I can finish it before next week comes. (Then I can play Cultist Simulator! So excited to play that game, plays really cool too)
@UnknownReader It's ok, play it however you want xD
And have fun at Smoke and Sacrifice, that one looks cool
Personally I find it looks really great, and the little snippets of gameplay I see already interest me a lot- and there's a ton of dragons! Feel it'll be a blast to play
Xenoblade Chronicles 2, an easy vote. It leads me to sink my teeth deeper and deeper into the story, while every step of the way I end up exploring, and having fun in the world!
Like, even though I want to go forward in the story? I find doing the side quest itself is already fun. I love to take care of side quest first, main story second. Do more exploration, everything!

I'll be getting Theatrhythm, Fantasy Life and Pokemon Omega Ruby and Story of Seasons, I'm hoping Story of Seasons will come out during December... so it won't clash with my other games I'm planning to buy, but I kind of doubt it now v_v

@DrLockdown @TempOr Yeah it was a mistranslation:

This link showed the guy translating it again and what it was supposed to be
Re: Preview: Astral Chain Is The 2019 Switch Game Everyone Should Be Talking About
@Agramonte NieR: Automata is kinda outlier though (And might also be carried a ton by word of mouth and Yoko's reputation)
And I'm really hyped for this game too! Can't wait to redeem my voucher for this lol
Re: Review: VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action - One Large Cutscene With A Gameplay Chaser

(Also can we stop ragging on VN as not a game?)
Re: Nintendo Shares Colourful Graphic Outlining Upcoming Switch Releases
Going to get: Astral Chain, DQ XI S, Pokemon Shield

Really like a lot though, I'm so broke

@RupeeClock Here's a quote from the thread:

Not only translation, but they have to redo the codes too since this isn't just emulation

Re: Talking Point: Why Nintendo Is Right To Be Cautious With Mobile
@Yorumi Haha Alchemist Code...
>publisher, Gumi. Welp. Although it's still going strong huh, quite surprising.
Good luck then, hope you enjoy how the game is when you come back.

Re: CrossCode Brings Its SNES-Style Action-RPG Goodness To Switch With Exclusive Content
@YANDMAN Ah, made sense. It took around 7 years or so to finish iirc, so they really took their time to really polish the game up.
Try out the free demo to see if you like it at least.
Re: CrossCode Brings Its SNES-Style Action-RPG Goodness To Switch With Exclusive Content
@YANDMAN Uh... the game is US$20, with around 91%-94% Positive review on Steam... How is that quite expensive and mixed review?
Re: Review: Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition - An Aptly-Named Refresh Of A True JRPG Classic

Re: Starlink And Dark Souls Porting Studio Virtuos Shares Switch Development Advice
Playing Starlink and that's a pretty good port
Re: Dragalia Lost Makes $16 Million In First Two Weeks, Outperforms Animal Crossing
The best thing out of this game is first, the music.
Then the story.
The gameplay is decent out of most mobile games I played at least, and you can see it got that high budget hallmark all over it

Re: Reminder: Nintendo's Mobile RPG Dragalia Lost Is Now Available, In Some Countries At Least
@rjejr No problem, glad I could help! You can also download the voices to Japanese if you want over there iirc (or near there, somewhere)
Must admit that the thing that makes me stick to the game is the MUSIC, it's too good.
Re: Reminder: Nintendo's Mobile RPG Dragalia Lost Is Now Available, In Some Countries At Least
@rjejr you can download the rest of the data on more -> options -> system -> batch download.
That way you won't be plagued by constant download as you play

@DarkScythe13 Haha yeah, that 100 steps thing... not bad thing to do though.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 28th)
Octopath for me, aiming to get more chapter 2 done
Re: Wizard Of Legend Celebrates 500,000 Sales With Magical Update And Discount
@MisterMan I think they fixed it, I replayed through the game yesterday and didn't see anymore stuttering unless I had massive amount of minions out
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
Finished both Subsurface and Quarantine Circular on PC, so now will be back to focus on Hollow Knight on Switch.
It's really awesome so far!

Re: Video: Here's 15 Minutes Of Star Fox In Starlink: Battle For Atlas

Hopefully they'll say something about content really soon :/ This game sounds like it won't be in a ton of production.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
@UnknownReader Yeah, I really like the game too! Just some of those niggling parts make me frown.
And about difficulty... well, I'm playing it on Easy so I guess I don't get hit with it
<-- the type that play on Easy modo always

No regrets
Re: Feature: Reanimating The Roguelike With Dead Cells Developer, MotionTwin
@NewAdvent Give a look at Wizard of Legend too! Seems to be counted as rogue-lites but it looks really cool on the speed and everything
(Also on the note of this article, Dead Cells looks amazing, too bad I'm no good in metroidvania rip)
Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For May And June
Wizard of Legend, West of Loathing, Okami HD, Ys8, Shining Resonance Refrain, Octopath Traveler for May to July!
After almost no playtime I'll finally have toooons of games to chow through in the future.
Wish I can add Moonlighter to that list man :/
Re: Detective Pikachu Has A Much Better Launch In Japan While Kirby Remains On Top

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Version 1.3.0 Will Go Live Next Week

Xenoblade Chronicles 2, an easy vote. It leads me to sink my teeth deeper and deeper into the story, while every step of the way I end up exploring, and having fun in the world!
Like, even though I want to go forward in the story? I find doing the side quest itself is already fun. I love to take care of side quest first, main story second. Do more exploration, everything!

Oooooh. I like the music o/ Sounds so good.
Haven't finish the demo yet since I'm still playing other games but the little I play makes me excited for this ! Can't wait.

Re: Feature: The Biggest 3DS Games of 2014 - Summer Edition
