@GOmar only speaking for myself, but I’ve been a Nintendo handheld gamer all my life and missed out on all of the consoles since the Nintendo 64. Ports are my first opportunity to play games like Pikmin, Portal 2, Metroid Prime, etc on a handheld device. So I get really happy when these are announced. Niche I know but this is what I care about
The Hotel Dusk games are no-brainers. The originals were great but I hated holding the DS sideways with one hand. The Switch interface would be much more comfortable I feel.
@OreoTheSprigatito Donkey Kong is a lock. For GBA probably Mario vs. Donkey Kong too. Super Mario Land, Warioland, Wario Land 2, and WariobLand 4 also very likely
@JakedaArbok just look for those “I need to find my friend” Koroks. You get 2 seeds for delivering them each time. 100 total on the map, mostly quite visible.
I get psyched every time I see one of these announcements…because this means we are one game closer to the 3rd wave of N64 releases which will likely have more games I care about (Perfect Dark, Diddy Kong Racing, and 3D platformers).
If you are going to watch it regardless then you should ignore reviews (a general rule!).
If you are like me and have a young toddler at home then reviews are incredibly valuable for helping me prioritize what to watch. In this case, it’s obvious it’s not worth my time.
Never played them but curious about them since the first 2 are on NSO. Can someone give me 1-2 reasons to play them if I have played dozens of other RPGs? Do they do anything unique?
I agree with this article 100%. Just played thru this literally last night and I found it quite entertaining. Strongly suggest changing the settings to make it a smaller screen to fully enjoy the impressive (for GBC) visuals.
The game is also pleasantly short so it didn’t wear out its welcome before the novelty wore off.
I thought there was some gambling-related reason that red/blue/yellow wouldn't ever be released on NSO. I think 2nd and 3rd gen makes a lot of sense (or I guess the already announced pokemon trading card game as a consolation)
My wishlist: Mario’s Picross Trip World Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Land Kirby’s Dream Land 2 Monster Max Mole Mania Ninja Taro Roland’s Curse 2 ZAS James Bond 007 For the Frog the Bell Tolls Chalvo 55 Krusty’s Fun House Gargoyle’s Quest 2 Great Greed Pokémon Crystal Survival Kids Wario Land Wario Land 2 Alice in Wonderland Little Magic Mario Golf Mario Tennis Metal Gear Solid Warlocked Wendy: Every Witch Way
I'm just annoyed I could have pre-ordered this for $60. If pre-orders were $70 from the beginning I wouldn't be annoyed at all. Given the global inflation over the last 2 years, it makes sense they would make new releases $70 moving forward.
It was always going to be "1st half of the year" but I can't help but notice the lack of announced games for 2H 2023. Without a doubt there are more 1st party games that will pop up between July and the Fall direct - will those just be announced as press releases?
Would love to see the system completely reimagined. I don’t think simply getting rid of durability or tweaking it will be anything but a worse experience. The whole point of weapons breaking is to encourage exploration and disincentivizing that would take away from the gameplay.
I will only buy a console with portability but all the power to Nintendo if they do something completely out of left field. Probably good for the future of gaming if they continue experimenting
These comments basically perfectly capture how I feel about Kentucky Route Zero. No matter how much I try to get into it I just can’t and have given up trying to force it. I absolutely love Earthbound, but can’t fault these folks given my own parallel experience.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Color, SNES & NES Library With Four More Games
Quest for Camelot is literally outside of the top 100 gb/GBC games I’ve played. Mediocre Zelda clone.
Re: Memory Pak: Making Contact With The "Ungoogleable" Game I Couldn't Quite Remember
In my case it is a couple games from the 80s on my Dad’s Apple 2E computer where it’s hopeless.
Thankfully nothing on a Nintendo system is still eluding me
Re: Talking Point: After Three Months, What's Your Zelda: TOTK Completion Percentage?

Re: Review: Pokémon Trading Card Game - A Cracking Adaptation That Still Holds Up
I'm surprised this didn't rate higher - one of the best games available on NSO, regardless of system

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Wish You Knew Sooner In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
@JakedaArbok ahh that makes sense! I couldn’t believe my luck when I randomly found Hestu (sp?) early on. I so easily could have missed him.

Oh my goodness it makes such a difference to upgrade armor 3x. 70+ hours to realize I didn’t have to keep taking crazy damage all the time

Re: Poll: Which Dormant Capcom Franchise Would You Like To See Return?
Ace attorney! I consider this dormant since no truly new game has been released since 2016
