There are genuine issues with this release but Nintendo life is only showing people showcasing small issues (with no one getting mad about them) instead of the plethora of real issues with this game. It just feels so strange, like there’s some weird anti-sonic fan agenda being pushed here.

This article seems to be over blowing these issues and making it seem like the fans are enraged. No. People are just pointing out small issues, nobody is saying these are reasons not to buy the game or something. Again, is there nothing better to write an article about?

@SteamEngenius I find it hilarious when people complain about new Pokémon designs but praise Gen 1. There are so many basic Pokémon designs that would be hated online if they released today.
Diglett literally evolves into 3 of itself, same and Magnemite. Grimer is literally just a pile of sludge, and then evolves into a slightly larger pile of sludge. Poliwhirl evolves into a slightly larger Poliwhirl, but angrier. So many examples of this.
It’s fine to enjoy these designs, but don’t act like they’re better than the new ones

Strange he would mention Mario and a movie that hasn’t come out yet and not Spiderverse 2, Mitchell’s vs the machines, puss in boots 2, really anything except Mario. The hate can be overblown at times but yea Mario is not anywhere close to Spiderverse

I think a Mario sequel is going to happen before we get any other Nintendo property. A Mario sequel is a sure-fire dunk in the box office, something like Zelda is a more risky property to adapt. Like how we got iron man 2 right after the first.

I think a lot of people misread the situation that people who dislike Nintendos stance on emulation have. There is almost no one who is knowledgeable about emulation who thinks it should be or is legal. Obviously it isn’t. But Nintendo doesn’t give people a good option to experience their legacy titles. It took 6 years to get damn game boy games on the switch, who knows how long we could be waiting for gamecube or Wii. Maybe never! Piracy is almost always a service problem, a lot of people who emulate gamecube and Wii games on Dolphin illegally would probably buy them, if there was a chance to do so. If Nintendo wants people to stop emulating their back catalog, maybe they should provide solid alternatives

@SwitchForce yeah sure nintendo can do all that, remasters, rereleases, but theyve proved time and time again thed rather do the dripfeed because that makes them more money. no ones arguing this is legally right, some are just saying its morally right, depends on how you look at it.

I think a “trilogy” of BOTW-type Zelda games would be kinda funny, and Nintendo could totally pull it off. Different dimensions would be neat, but I think the main thing that’d need to change is something with the graphics or art design. Having three Zelda games that look the exact same would be weird.

People see someone talking about how hard it is to play the game while paralyzed and start complaining about dungeons and weapon durability? @CMS_Glalie atleast the Mario movie had a little bit of soul and creativity to it. Not a lot, but you can tell the people behind it at least cared a little. From what I’ve seen, the lion king remake looks about as soulless as you can get

The great thing about the shrines in this game is the insane amount of options to solve them. I love seeing what other people did to solve a shrine, whether it’s the intended way or some random, insane solution that you would never think should work. But it does! And that’s the magic of this game.

Maybe the real Zelda timeline was the friends we made along the way.

So many pessimists in the comments here.. that fake Miyamoto quote might be overused, but it’s true. These guys know what they’re doing. If the initial release window was around now, this delay can’t be much farther. Considering how much care and effort was poured into the first game, there’s a very low chance this game will be bad. And this is coming from someone who didn’t even like the first hollow knight!

The Other M theater mode that just plays all the cutscenes as a movie! Doesn’t everyone love that games story?
In all seriousness, a Metroid movie done well could be incredible, but it cannot be done by Illumination. Give them Mario and Kirby but please let a better studio handle Metroid or Zelda

Haven’t done a lot on switch recently, mostly Zero Dawn on PS4 but it’s really starting to bore me. Lot of repetitive robot fights. This game pales in comparison to BOTW.
On the switch side I’m planning to play Stardew Valley but I’m also not super into it right now. I just need to make money to buy a coop right now, and it’s getting boring just fishing for entire in game days. Maybe I’ll renew Switch Online and play some old Game Boy or SNES games

@TheBigBlue the mechanics of Nintendos sports titles are amazing, but when there’s nothing to do and they drip feed content, that is a serious issue that people are justified complaining about. Nintendo has done this with so many games in the switch era and it’s just pathetic how much is cut from these games at launch and dripfed later.

ROZEN recently released an album of Metroid arrangements, mostly from Prime 1 called Phazon: Metroid Saga. It’s absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend anyone who likes Metroid music (like me) to check it out
