Re: Nintendo's Tom Nook Tax Day Tweet Has Sent Animal Crossing Fans Into Overdrive

Aw man my reply didn't get mentioned.

I kid though. When I scrolled past this tweet yesterday I had to do a double take. I thought it was quite funny.

Oh and yeah another Nintendo Direct would be cool. I'm not as hardcore into Animal Crossing as some people are, but even I have to admit a release date would be cool, but something tells me they might be saving it for E3.

Re: Nintendo Tells Mobile Partners To Limit Microtransactions So That Players Don't Spend Too Much

Good guy Nintendo, but in this economy, Micro transactions are nearly as ubiquitous as DLC. I don't remember where I heard this from, but if these AAA titles didn't have MC's in them, their retail price would be 10/20 pounds/dollars more than they already are. It's no wonder Nintendo game still have high retail prices even if they have been out for years.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing though. Less MC's are always great, but I don't know how long it will last.

Re: The Virtual Console Isn't Coming To Switch, Nintendo Confirms

On further thought about this and reading the replies, I think this may be a good thing in some regard. If all Retro games are available for "Free" under the subscription service then it saves us from having to buy the title again and again for each system.

People will emulate, people will homebrew, it's inevitable, but we can't look away from all the great titles coming in the future just because of this one blip.

Re: The Virtual Console Isn't Coming To Switch, Nintendo Confirms

Huh.

So, I assume that means the classic games are only available to those who pay the subscription.

I'm... not sure how to react. I mean, I've never really cared all that much for Virtual Console, I only ever bought a few titles. But... why? Why not bring Virtual Console to the Switch? Just so they can lock it behind a Subscription based paywall?

I'm interested to see what will result from this.

Re: Video: Here Are 10 New Switch Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In May

I'll be picking up Hyrule Warriors... AGAIN... when I get the chance. I sold off my Wii U and never really cared to much for the 3DS version so being able to play it on console again with all of the content will be great.

The game does have A LOT of content and yes, it can get very repetitive as a lot of the scenarios are just "Go here, side with this dude, maybe side with this dude I don't know" but I've always felt it's repetition with reward. You might not be able to get what you want on your first run but you are still given materials and EXP for doing it so it's not all a loss.

The one thing I'm hoping for is for them to NOT add any more DLC, I bought both games on the Wii U and 3DS and the season passes for both, I would be upset if they added more DLC.

Unless it's Byrne from Spirit Tracks then GIMME GIMME GIMME

Re: Guide: Pokémon Switch: Rumours, Release Date News And Everything Else We Know So Far

blackbox64

I'm not going to let any rumors shape my thoughts about the game, until we see official information (The Magazine mentioned has apparently given false information in the past, from what I've heard).

This will be the first ever Mainline Pokemon Title on a console so it will be interesting to see what they can do with it. I've been with the series since Gold and Silver, I hope this won't be the end of it.

Re: Funimation Really Wants Goku To Join The Roster In Super Smash Bros

blackbox64

To be fair, it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility. Cloud and Bayonetta were hardly top Nintendo Characters but made it in due to popularity and the Ballot, and had only just started appearing on the Wii U (To my knowledge)

Basically, anybody is eligible for the roster as long as they are popular and have a presence of some kind on the Switch. Nobody is safe from the Smash Roster... looks at Sans ... N O B O D Y
