Since its launch back in March, Nintendo has promised new dream friends would be periodically added to Kirby Star Allies. Of course, it's kept to schtum on exactly who those characters were going to be. Well, a recent datamine has revealed exactly who these additions are going to be. Of course, consider these spoilers if you want to keep said allies a surprise until Nintendo is ready to officially unveil them.
Ready? Okay. So Adeleine, Daroach, and Dark Meta Knight will be included in the second wave. While the third wave should feature Magolor, Taranza, Susie, and the Jambastion Mages. If you're a big Kirby nerd all of these will be welcome (if slightly unexpected in some cases) additions to the roster. No data was recovered suggesting exactly when they'll arrive, so we'll all have to be patient for the time being.

Holy smokes, Daroach!?
This alone makes up for a lack of playable Galacta Knight. I love Squeak Squad!
I'll just keep holding out for the other companions from KDL3 then.
Also, seeing as how each wave has had 3 characters, it would make sense for the Jambastion Mages to get their own separate wave.
Wouldn't Daroach be called "Dorotche" in the code? Why would a Japanese dev not use the Japanese spelling? Unless "Dorotche" is just transliteration of the characters used and he's meant to be "Daroach" 🤔

I was expecting exactly 2 more waves, with these exart characters - well, mostly.
It was a toss-up between Adeleine and Ribbon, but I was expecting Ado a bit more (maybe they will be a tag-team?), Daroach was the obvious choice from Squeak Squad, and Dark Meta Knight was pretty much the only sensible option from Amazing Mirror (even though I wasn't sure he would be included). Maybe he will even have some of Mirror's moveset?
I was like 98% sure Magolor, Taranza, and Susie would make it in. I was half-expecting the mages, and they would really be an awesome addition. It's a bit weird Hyness is not in after the recent leaked pallette swaps and whatnot.
The only character I was kind of expecting and don't see here is Prince Fluff, but he's from a spinoff, so it's understandable. He could've had a cool moveset, though.

Star Allies is my first every Kirby Game but I have some knowledge about past Kirby Games.
Adeleine is the Kirby 64 representative and all I'm thinking is what music is going to be used for the battle against the final boss in Guest Star Allies for her?

Such a fantastic collection of characters. Super excited to play with them all. I wish the spinoff games got a little love, though. In addition to the already mentioned Prince Fluff, I’d love to play as Drawcia, too. And though it seems there’s only one guest per main series game, I wish they’d make an exception for Kirby 64 and toss in Ribbon, as well.
Adeleine alone made this game worth my $60

Got all I want. Only characters I want that are left is Gryll and Brobo (and Ribbon but I think she will be included in Ado's moveset). Never got the interest for Prince Fluff, but hey

@PLATINUM7 I wouldn't. Those characters are already in the game VIA the Broom character. As all 3 friends show up when you do specific actions.
This is great, loving the future content for this game. The more free updates the better.

@blackbox64 technically she was in kirby's dream land 3 as a boss in the cloud region or whatever it was called and could eventually become friendly but they shortened her name back then.
Called all of them, though I was wrong about Ribbon. It'd be amazing if Daroach somehow incorporated his airship from Mass Attack into his moveset, or even as some extra animation. It's great to see my favorite rat get his chance to shine!
The inclusion of all the wave 3 characters was obvious, since Kumazaki will never let those characters die (especially not Taranza, who seems to get no less that five references per game at this point). It's a shame we can't see Prince Fluff or Claycia again, though.

@Banjos_Backpack i agree woth that, pokemon x and sun and ultra are all ruined with the internet spoilers and data miners, i miss those days when i encounter a wild pokemon and don't know what's appearing or what type they are oe the excitement of them evolving... F*#k Spoilers
New characters are neat and all. But playing through the game once kinda just did it for me. There wasn't really a single level I thought "man, I really want to do that again!"
Maybe if I had more nostalgia for the Kirby series, it would be different.
YES! Keep the content coming one of the few games me and my girlfriend can play together that can keep her interest.
Daroach is a pleasant surprise. Squead Squad is one of my least favorites but I always liked Daroach as a character. I'm a bit surprised at Dark Meta Knight as well as chosing Adeline over Ribbon but in hindsight the latter makes sense as there's already a painter ability in the game. Magalor, Tranaza, and Suzie were all expected but I'm pleasantly surprised at the inclusion of the Jambastion Trio
