As much as the violence irks me, it’s pretty impressive how photo realistic this engine looks; it’s like they’re finally achieving what they set out to do with real actors all those years ago. However, yes, that also makes the violence more realistic. The lighting is superb and moody. I just hope the other stages aren’t so visually generic.

This kind of gore-porn isn't my thing, and I don't think it should be anyone's.
Content aside, it looks very polished as a game, but I'll definitely never get it. Normalising violence is one (bad, bad) thing, glorifying it this realistic actually hurts just looking at it.

@patbacknitro18 Yes...armour does make women's chests appear smaller, because funnily enough they're not designed for cleavage. Look at any female police officer wearing a padded/armoured vest.

@Primarina I'm pretty sure people were against gladiator fights as well, but then again, I wasn't there, so I cn't know. I do know I would be. People speak up against animal (ab-)use as well, and I'm one of them, but future history books won't tell you about the cruelty we considered "normal". Just how it suddenly was abolished out of pure kindness in the oppressor's hearts.
But that misses the point entirely. Suffering, real or as-real-as-possible should not be considered entertainment in my opinion.
My interest in this is merely as a gamer, and because it kind of fascinates me what they do with it. But yeah, I just stated my opinion, and as far as virtual violence goes and where to draw the line, I can agree to disagree. I'm not a pacifist myself, I personally believe in the -sad- necessity of liberating violence to overthrow systematic / oppressive violence. Just not that whoever enjoys bringing it will be better than the ones they overthrew. But again, kind of besides the topics to discuss on online video game fora.

@KennyBania Here on the other hand, I cannot agree. Violence is to many still nurture, not nature. And I didn't blame it all on Ed Boone, he's a product of this society in which violence sells, and going beyond what is "acceptable" gets you attention. Attention sells. Nudity does. And our value is decided by the market.
What I DID mean to say was exactly what's written: violence shouldn't be glorified or further normalised, in my opinion. I believe we should move away from that, and go for a positive evolution. But as long as it doesn't lead to actions that harm any real living being, I'm not going to try and stop you from having your own.
