@gcunit hopefully there is time for exploration at least on the second playthrough. The main game is probably around +-5 hours at best.

Good news. I prefer quality over quantity. Another gen for the switch library.

Well well back to the X1 vs X2 discussion.. does it really matter?...this is a hybrid with exclusive 1st party games.
I hope Iwata-san's vision comes to fruition. One console with all the Nintendo games. Awesome!!

I'm really looking forward to this game!! Lots of concerns with the whole "soft launch" dilemma but if you're playing Zelda BOTW. You're set for months.

This is awesome. I doubt I will make any games myself but I will enjoy playing other people's creations. Just like in Mario maker.

Agreed. I'm praying the switch can pull through and become a true successor for both the Wii U and the 3ds. Iwata-san's plan is perfect. I just hope the execution can measure up going forward.

Unfortunately my budget is already spent on the switch and Zelda BOTW. But this has amazing potential especially with the online multiplayer. We can have a unique multiplayer experience for free for the first six months.
Not a bad deal.

Don't hate them personally.. don't even know them lol but definitely not my cup of tea. I find myself always tuning in just see if there is something interesting there presenting but never finish the clip.

I hope this really takes off not just for Nintendo but also for me! lol the bigger the user base the higher probability I'll get more AAA games coming to the system.

This makes more sense. The media spinned this the wrong way. I know Nintendo needs to keep the marketing campaigns going but maybe they should do it in house

it's funny you mention the "real" multiplayer experience. To me physical multiplayer is the best type of multiplayer. I used to love to go to my friend's house after school just to play SFII on the Snes.

I preordered the switch and the BOTW Special edition.
I'm debating whether to get a 128gb or just preorder Super Bomberman R and I Am Setsuna instead if I have an extra funds available...

I agree on Xeno X though it was fun to play not Chronicles. I hope we get Xeno II by next year. I was shock to even see it on the presentation.
I think the switch will be a jrpg/Rpg machine especially if skyrim sales are decent.
I bought the special edition for PS4 but haven't opened it yet waiting to see how the switch version holds up lol 😂 😜

I agree. I just had the Wii U and 3ds last gen and I'm fine with the switch this gen. Got the wife a PS4. I'm playing Witcher 3 at the moment but I have a feeling I won't finish it in time for BOTW. 😂

Good commentary. I hope the switch will become the hybrid every Nintendo fan dreams of... including myself... a device WITH ALL the 1st party titles at my disposal to play at home or on the go.. truely awesome!

Hey hats off to them for following through on their commitments... If the game holds up, I'll buy it.

The only advantage I see is the enhanced graphics, improved fps, and of course PORTABILITY.

Personally the switch is a Hybrid. I'm excited that Nintendo will potentially develop games for just one console.
Thus, more games available to play.

No too bothered by no physical release might end up getting this at launch or bomerman

The soft launch with expensive accessories, 299 starting price, and free? Yet soon to be charge a fee online service is all by design.
Since the launch will sell out, squeeze as much profit as possible before the holiday season.
But Mario needs to be ready..

Funny you mentioned that I'm just waiting for a proper animal crossing to buy the wife one as well... hoping a new switch animal crossing bundle/version just for her 🙂

So that's why no mention of streaming apps... etc.. etc...
Well I hope this gets rectified at a later date but not my priority at the moment.

I was going off your numbers actually. Nintendo's mobile preference is fine for now. Little by little more IP's will be introduce to diversify the revenue stream... At least that is my opinion of course.

That's about 20% retention for a expensive mobile game that has a 4% retention rate as the norm... not bad 🙂

The console price is fine. Getting Zelda at launch should be more than enough for now. Might get another game but on the fence for now. The joy cons are two controllers on their own so don't need an extra set.
But hey people want to over react. The only negative to me is not including 1,2. Switch with the system

Honestly, after careful consideration, I'm happy with my preorder though I wish the 1,2 switch was packed in but it's not the end of the world. At least I have Zelda as a definite starter!
Nintendo has until this summer to get everything in order for the masses right now I think only we as the dedicated fans are actually showing some concerns.
