This is why I gave my switch away. Games too expensive. Greedy Nintendo. After more than a hundred games bought, don't wanna support them for the time being. Maybe someday again. Back to ps4 and steam.
Well, I bought the game. Twice. Digital copy. Then I found out that it is online only. The game may be good, but I will not repeat the same mistake. I strongly dislike online-only games. Hopefully in the future they will enable it to be played offline.
I actually just bought splatoon. That intro where I have to use motion controls was very confusing to me. I turn gyro controls off in every game on the switch. After I turned them off, became intrigued. I did try ninjala. And to be honest, I love it. The melee aspect of it is much more appealing to me than shooting at people. I hope ninjala evolves into something great. And that they add much more offline content too.
Couple of minutes Animal Crossing. Burnout Paradise(love it but suck at it at the moment), Astral Chain-trying to love it, but too many side activities compared to combat plus combat is epilepsy inducing. Preferred Bayonetta-faster pace regarding side activities and combat. Oh wait, there are almost no side activities, mostly combat. But mostly I'll be playing TLOU 2 and see if complaints are justified, regarding story.
I bought pokemon sword. It was my first pokemon game ever. I played the first few hours and... I felt dumber and dumber. I mean... the dialogs... gosh. I guess, after playing Ni no Kuni this would prove to be a step up, but, gosh, was I wrong(for me at least). I'll stick to Ni no Kuni and other rpgs with a bit more essence. Glad to see OG Switch doing great. Hope that "Switch" lite won't be as popular. Don't wanna support half-baked products.
@Kalmaro Gone are the days when games were full finished products. But now, we also have not only half baked games, but also half baked products from nintendo aswell("switch" lite)
@KitsuneNight I don't think REmake 2 would work on the current switch without signifficant sacrifice. That's why I'll stick to pc or a more powerful console.
Ni no Kuni. From the beginning. Love the game. First time didn't understand sh*t about teams and I also released most collected beasties but then became quests where I had to bring certain beasties I previously released. Goddamn. But now I am wiser so I'll start over.
Since I use my switch to play mostly first party games, plus a port now and then (with very stable fps and relatively clear graphics without considerable downgrades/blur) I won't be getting this just as I didn't get the Witcher. These games are meant to be played on more powerful systems(in my opinion), so I'll leave my switch for polished first party titles and an occasional impeccable port.
I tried the demo last night. I must say, I was expecting a bit more. It was almost as if the game played itself, except karate. I do hope the final product will be a blast!
After four days of intense workout in ring fit adventure I woke up today with sore muscles. I love the game and hope it will receive further support and updates from nintendo and hope it will thrive. Highly recommended.
Bought it today and I must say I am impressed! Love it! I won't play it every day but between my bodyweight exercises sessions. But what I did play I honestly loved it and would very much recommend.
Ni no Kuni. Amazing game, but a bit too long. I am not used to such long games and therefore I feel burned out. After the game, think I'll take a break from gaming and spend more time reading and socialising with real people.
Interested in this game but do hope we get it in digital form in Europe. This generation of consoles it's digital all the way for me. I hope this game thrives so that it gets further support. And, it wouldn't be a bad idea to implement its controls into new upcoming games aswell. Just as an option for those of us who want to move and game at the same time.
I bought the game at launch(actually pre-ordered) and was very disapointed. It was just... too blury for my taste. I honestly don't care for graphics but this was... I don't know. I would hit walls often, simply because at some points it wasn't clear where do I need to turn my vehicle in order to stay on track. From this purchase on, I decided not to pre-order stuff.
It would be kind of awesome to include these control scheme into existing/upcoming games. Moving and playing games at the same time. Gaming time would be a bit reduced and people eould be healthier. WHO(World Health Organisation) would keep their mouth shut. I am interested to purchase this, but will wait for reviews.
Awesome. I hate being last almost every time. I love the game. Better than MK(to me) but unfortunately loading times are still long. The hard-to-get skins and other parafernalia don't interest me, as long as they don't affect the core gameplay. Others are easily unlockable.
I hope the game thrives more. It deserves it. Along MK, the best kart racer out there at the momrnt(to me). Interested in Garfield though
Every review of a product is subjective. We are not machines. We can't be objective. That's why I take reviews with a grain of salt and do my research thoroughly and then buy or not. For example, a dude here, a reviewer judged jedi outcast by giving it a 6. In my book, it is an 8 maybe.
Anyways, of course, sometimes I also ride the hype train and buy recklessly, only to regret it later. But that happens rarely.
I saw videos of these games running on switch on you tube and they look and perform just fine. Personally not interested in these games but if I were, I'd actually play the demo first and then judge. I think we all tend to form our opinion based on other peoples' opinions even though we never tried the product itself. For example, I bought the darn nintendo "switch" lite, gave it a thorough test ride for over a week(played many hours on it to get the feel for it) and then judged it(to me it sucks by the way, a half baked product). Anyways, try first, then judge.
I am interested in these games. And since I do the digital only stuff, this doesn't bother me. Too bad for those affected however. But, I will wait for reviews.
@SwitchForce Forecast? I believe I gave no forecast. I expressed my hope for "switch" lite to flop and am still hoping it will. Because in my opinion it is not a complete product, plus there is that ominous potential drift. But if it survives and thrives, so be it. It won't get my support and that is fine. Just like it's fine that people buy the thing.
@SwitchForce I may be considered a troll because of my strong negative comments of the "switch" lite, but of course I don't deny the numbers or success of Nintendo. Nor is there a desire to do that. I just don't like one particular member of the family and that is ok. I'll always look at it as a half baked pointless not-worthy-of-the name product and that's it.
@Nintendofan83 I don't mind more games being developed. I am talking about the console itself. A degraded one. More sales of it will encourage more production of products which lack features that mede the console stand out in the first place. But let's not talk about this anymore. Wrong topic. Started by me. Apologies. Moving on. Happy gaming ☺
@Duncanballs Besides, I think that when a true Nintendo handheld comes(with a better suited name and accessories) "switch" lite will hardly be remembered
@Duncanballs Yes but 3ds nor 2ds couldn't connect to a tv. In my opinion, differences between those two devices are minor, compared to switch and the "switch" lite
In a weird way I am glad the standard switch outsells the lite. Lite is not a switch, only in its name. People need to show nintendo they don't care for half baked products. My outspoken opinion only, not intended to attack anyone.
@The_Top_Loader I was writing in general. Maybe that wasn't clear. I said "I don't want to buy a game". I didn't say "I don't want to buy this(specific) game"
@MrBlacky Yes, that it performs well. No crashes, no game breaking framerate dips or bugs. Graphics are of no big concern to me, although of course, it is nice if a game looks good. Ok, I lied. I don't like pixelated graphics. Too much of it for me lately. Of course, the greatest prerequisite is the story and interesting mechanics.
@link3710 By that I presume you mean "backwards compatibility"? I'm talking about hardware side of degradation. Even modern pc has difficulty playing dos and windows 95 games.
@Mr_Muscle On that I agree. Bought those daemon x machina joycons yesterday and played street fighter again. Out of 15 tries I pulled 13 dragon punches off. With the d-pad of course. Awesome joycons. 1st party joycons/joypad from Nintendo sucks. Except the nintendo switch tablet itself. That's awesome. But the switch lite sucks though.
