So, you decided to head out and pick up a copy of Nintendo's fancy new fitness thingy, Ring Fit Adventure. It's great, you've had a wonderful time beating enemies and burning calories, but now you've got a grubby Ring-Con and a smelly Leg Strap (don't worry, it happens to the best of us). Luckily, Nintendo is on hand to help.
Yes, as it turns out, Nintendo thought ahead with its fancy new tech, seemingly realising that players would eventually feel the need to give their accessory a thorough clean without damaging their pricey new purchase. On its Japanese site, Nintendo has an FAQ section for the game which discusses this very issue.
Nintendo says that you can remove the grips from the Ring-Con to clean them, advising players to wash them - along with the Leg Strap - in warm water which has been diluted with a natural detergent. Then, you should remove any moisture with a towel and hang everything in a shady place to dry further. To tell you the truth, we wouldn't have even thought about it without seeing this on Nintendo's site, but it's actually quite a neat touch to have the grips be fully detachable.
Ring Fit Adventure seems to have been pretty popular in our launch day poll and it's had a decent start to life in the UK charts, too; if you were one of the many who grabbed a copy, make sure to let us know how you've been getting on with it in the comments below.

Pretty awesome. If I didn't have such a physical job, I think I would play this. The actual game itself looks pretty addicting too.
Don't they mention this in the game? It was one of the first thing I was impressed by.
The foam pads definitely get nice and sweaty if you're going 20+ mins per session so washing them is a must. Would be nice if they made different color ones to match your preferred joycon color.
Uh. well I do know now you can take it apart.
Just wondering, would the grips and the leg strap be washable in a washing machine, along with other laundry?
I love the expression on the dog's face. He is not impressed.
Best thing is the blue light around the home button works for this game when you set a workout reminder.
@TheLightSpirit It IS way better!! If you can afford it, go for it!
This game is just as great as I hoped. I really think it will help motivate me to exercise more regularly.
Awesome game. I love it when Nintendo gamifies exercise. They should patch ringcon support into Breath of the Wild!
Also, I love that Ring Fit Adventure runs at 60fps!
Cool that they give directions on how to wash sweaty and dirty grips and let strap.
@DarthFoxMcCloud I would think it's a bad idea because the Velcro could wear out. Washing them by themselves like this by hand would maintain the grippiness of the Velcro much better.
Bought it today and I must say I am impressed! Love it! I won't play it every day but between my bodyweight exercises sessions. But what I did play I honestly loved it and would very much recommend.
My wife and I really enjoy this one. The friendly competition and difficulty selection allow us to tailor the game to our tastes and fitness levels. Vibrant and engaging we love experiencing the next silly fitness themes bad guy. Although not a superb video game by any stretch for what it intends on accomplishing by mixing fitness and gaming I feel ring fit nails it’s target.
Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to get a little extra exercise into their lives, or people who are looking to make their routine a bit more captivating and fun.
I'm loving it!!! Its legit fun. It functions really well, actually works you out, is a fairly fun and expansive real game, and has a bunch of cool features. Its absolutely clever. Its a surprise title. I think like many, I didn't think much of the title at first from the first video but as more news and previews came out, it started looking more and more like the real deal. I hope it does well and expands into a new and iconic IP for Nintendo.
I absolutely dig it. I picked it up Friday but spent the weekend at a horror movie convention. When I got up this morning I went straight into playing and forty minutes later I was exercised, energized, and thoroughly impressed. I will see results with this and it's genuinely fun.
Totally enjoying this game! I like the reminders that you can set up too.
