@Sisilly_G I may not be old enough to remember, but I think most of that goodwill can be traced back to the original games and Sega’s rivalry with Nintendo in the ‘90s. Which is kinda what is being replicated here, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

With 3D Mario, I feel like it should stick with how things have been going with console grouping. If it’s on the Switch, then Odyssey 2. If a new console, then an entirely new thing.

The NA one and the EU one both manage to crop out that one guy with the N64 logo.

Yeah, $12.08 is not a “natural” price, so this is likely a tease. I really don’t think it should be a platform fighter, but CTR showed that Crash has enough characters for it to work.

I also heard a little Dwayne Johnson in Jack Black’s Bowser. “I do not.”

Bowser sounds like a mix of Jack Black and Dwayne Johnson, which I don’t hate.

I wonder if they’ll do a movie tie in with the supposed redesigns…

It may tie in to that new Nickelodeon show, so my hopes aren’t that high. But, who knows?

With the fact that Rosalina is in the game, where’s a rabbid Bowser. Or Mario version of the new character? Everyone seems to have their opposites in one form or another.

Mario Kart and Smash Bros knockoffs are the new Mario 64 and Mario Party clones.

I honestly did not care about Zelda games before BOTW, so it really seems like a great option for newcomers.

Kirby really has the potential to be made into so many great pieces of art.

MASCOT SIMULATOR
A game were you dress up as a mascot for a sports team, pizza chain, theme park, etc. Its a dance/rhythm game where the goal is to get the audience as hyped as possible.
Edit: The switch version includes a Super Nintendo World expansion in which whatever Mario/Universal character joins in as well.

Yeah, I can see how you could mistake it for a seahorse.

Something about how they represent Sonic running feels off. I know it’s how he runs in the 2d games, but it just doesn’t translate well here.

I feel like Nintendo and HAL could remaster these older titles more often, thus making room for more games like Forgotten Land.

Companies should do this more often. If anyone is going to find a way to revive older, obscure franchises, it’s going to be the indie developers who truly appreciate these games.

Who better to learn from that the master behind Smash Bros.?
