Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 19th)

I started Metroid: Zero Mission the other day as a lot of folks did I'm sure. Currently about to fight Ridley. And yes, I plan to play all the 2D games in chronological order.

I returned to Animal Crossing: New Horizons just over a week ago, I'm just pottering around everyday slowly paying off my house, just one more upgrade to go. Also today I finally got K.K. Slider to visit for his concert and saw the credits. Nice. Though it's really just the beginning now I can renovate my Island proper.

Got the new theme in Tetris 99 and earned enough tickets to purchase the only one I was missing.

Also started the extra story recently in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, feels good to jump back into this beautiful game. I so love the soundtrack, so relaxing.

Re: Metroid Games You Need To Play Before Metroid Dread

@jon625 the prices on ebay are ridiculous and my local ebgames have none in stock, but I did find a copy on Amazon with a pegi rating so I guess it's a pal version (damn 3DS for region locking). Anyway it should arrive next month.

Timely article.

I already begun my first playthrough of Metroid: Zero Mission on Wii U, just made it to Kraid. Don't know why I didn't play this one back in the day but getting to experience for the first time now is so good.
I'm going to need to buy Samus Returns soon but why is it expensive on the second hand markets? Is it rare for some reason?
Super Metroid I have on numerous systems and played already but never beaten for some weird reason. That will change this time.
Metroid Fusion was my very first 2D Metroid back on the OG GBA. Absolutely loved it. I had to buy it again on Wii U because both my GBA and OG DS have died.
And that will leave Dread. I already have my Collector's Edition and amiibo preordered!

I agree. I've been gaming since the Atari 2600 and now owning all three current consoles, gaming has never been better, especially how easy it is to play everything retro. Can it be expensive? Sure. But it can be inexpensive also. Whatever floats your boat.

Re: Talking Point: The Problem With The X Button

WCB

Now that I own an Xbox, my only problem with the layout is confusing the X and Y top buttons when I return to a Switch game. And sometimes pressing B to accept lol.

It used to come to me so naturally but that third console has buggered everything. Decades worth of gaming ritual. That near instantaneous communication between brain and controller. A button layout more familiar than family. Now just dust.
