Honestly I think massive open worlds destroys the character of Zelda, whereas before it was the simple things which fascinated the most, now it is just going along the lines of the gaming industry design norms. Also, I know this might be a shocking idea but can you talk about something else besides Zelda this month? Are you trying to tell me there is absolutely no other news and info about upcoming games aside from Zelda related for the switch?

Who is gaming aimed at these days ? The price of these consoles plus games and extras are ridiculous , Gaming has become very much a middle class hobby , Nintendo should be aiming to be accessible for everyone all ages again and this includes price not just content , This is why i support mobile gaming as it's now the go-to platform for everybody without this drama we see with modern consoles and devs fleecing us for DLC , Look i would rather even buy a little IAP than be fleeced for extra money yet again for DLC and more memory after purchasing a full price game .

Nintendo should be sued by the fans , 2ds xl is what the original 2ds should have been , new 3ds what the original 3ds should have been , The switch is what the wiiu should have been , If Nintendo had big enough competition in the handheld market they wouldn't have made these mistakes , If sony created some kind of affordable portable handheld / mobile it would be a whole different story .

Nintendo bringing classic gaming back , Modernists will say its not pushing groundbreaking levels , people having fun are too busy enjoying games to give a damn.

The switch doesn't need to exist , Nintendo have just made a portable Wiiu in fact exactly what people expected the wiiu to be the first time around until realisation the controller wouldn't work away from the console . N could have just made an upgraded wiiu with portable screen , Instead we have a wiiu issue again with N creating what looks like a tablet with none tablet modern day features I mean what the hell Nintendo , Why not just make something with Classic Nintendo Character keep it simple make it affordable if it's only made for games , Many people can't justify the price because we've been here before and in modern times we have cheaper and more reasonable options already on the market . The switch will also damage the 3ds lifespan , We already see a lack of 3ds games and it's now all but dead after this year , what was the point in the new 3ds? No 3rd party devs will work on making games for this console now and surely N won't waste money trying to create big games for 3ds now switch is here . N have made too many excuses for this console , Excuses and bad price model didn't save the vita either .

The Price for me kills it at least for now , The console alone is reasonable value but it's also in the same market region as high end tabs like the shield and more expensive than other home consoles available especially adding extras such as a high cap Sd card, a few new games and a pro controller.
I feel for a console aimed at accessibility Nintendo have made it a costly purchase for many people in a time of so many cheaper choices , even the wiiu is more attractive now with Zelda and cheaper games.

Screw Game , Possibly the biggest Nintendo sellouts on the UK market , Funny you go into a game store and find one cabinet of Nintendo products surrounded by towering PS and xb software , Now they are going on like they care for Nintendo when bringing them down all these years !

@LemonSlice yeah but its standard things and hardly a change like say when FFIV got 3D on the DS. A game like this would now sell on steam or mobile for about 3quid max and even fully translated they still can't announce a EU release at least digital sorry but in 2016 they can do better this should have been out years ago and it should be onto blood drive by now.

The game came out about 5 years ago on PSP , Why not at least update the game slightly instead of standard port , Not really interested as a game like this could easily play on mobiles never mind the 3DS , I'm not expecting Revelations type quality but at least make something worthy of the platform , blood drive could easily play on 3DS albeit with slightly downgraded graphics .

look how great the gba looks though it's just historic design wise , I feel Nintendo have gone down a generic route from the DS lite onwards playing it safe with squares . When i think though GBA was an all time classic , There are many games which are very much playable and hold up good today .

Even if the 3ds is not capable on VC Nintendo could have released SNES games as compilations on cartridges as a kind of SNES classics mix series , I mean it's not like the 3DS is being flooded with choice for games each month so why not release some upgraded SNES Classics and also not alienate 90% of your userbase . Crazy how short sighted Nintendo are this gen , This confirms that they had no idea which direction to take the 3DS from the start and have been making it up as they go along as quick fixes to improve sales , Sadly this also includes the quality of games being released as most Nintendo exclusives feel nothing new and actually lacking or taking away things which made the games great in the first place .

What happened to different ethnicity in characters ? Why are characters all prep school western white peeps? There are hundreds of ethnicities but the designers go with zero personality and only choose one type of character , This is for me the reason why the game doesn't interest me because i know for a fact the characters will be cliche and average .

Problem with nintendo is they have been making it up as they go along this gen, most nintendo games even feel like they were thrown together quickly rather than carefully planned years in advance, They are becoming more and more like mobile devs rather than console.

Everybody knows new 3ds has more power and needs it for certain games, peeps are mad because it didn't have the power in the first place i mean hell Nintendo didn't even do anything to the xl except supersize it even when peeps were calling for a second analogue and more power. Nintendo are clearly riding on nostalgia and old gimmicks right now, if they had any respect for og supporters after screwing up their designs they would create a compilation cartridge just like nes classics so that the whole 3ds community can play, But no, This is Nintendo in 2016 a sinking ship of bad ideas, They may as well go mobile.

so so many mistakes by Nintendo this generation, I guess may aswell sign out with one more by releasing this only on N3DS , Just a nice way to say F U to the all the original supporters who put up with not just 1 but 3 totally new model changes , I'm done with Nintendo until next generation they are not getting a penny out of me .

I think this review is not really to be trusted as everything i have read sounds like a person who is hyped by the nostalgia rather than a neutral or noob to the type of gameplay . The first one was fun for about an hour then pressing the same button to watch the same action sequences over and over again got pretty boring quick and the story sucked so if the story is practically the same old bull and gameplay similar then i wouldn't really recommend this game to anybody other than fanboy nostalgia collectors . Any game with nothing memorable other than flashy effects and moves isn't really worth a purchase to me .

@Simbabbad No but this is where you are wrong , Japan despite having a load of quirky and weird ideas and big international businesses is actually quite a xenophobic country as a whole , The Japanese would go ape sh*t if a japanese person were to ridicule or misrepresent their own country in front of an international audience . The US is the LAST country to be afraid of portraying any stereotypes of ethnicity in media , Over here in the UK We have a wide range of media specifically for particular ethnicity groups . Nintendo needs to get out the dark ages , Although they are doing this out of good intentions it actually reveals more wider issues and the question is why not include different cultural references especially when countries like america have a wide ethnic background and not just white people as asia would like to believe. We don't see many character of black or indian or latin culture in japanese video games , a lot of japanese games are universally stereotyped and racist compared to western media .

This is Nintendo of 2016 all over , Should Be called Law Enforcement Nintendo Department LEND , Nobody got offended except Nintendo . I'm more offended by the cliche western blonde hair blue eyed stereotypes in most adventure and rpg games but that story is for another day.

This game is actually quite good , The review is a little critical mainly because i think at the time people were still trying to discover the power of the DS in comparison with the PSP . Fast forward a few years later and the PSP wins for graphics but this game is still really fun and enjoyable to play . The gameplay is fast and intense at times , Graphics i would say are pretty decent OK not the best but the game runs very smoothly even at high speed and the environments have that same ps1 arcade style look . The soundtrack is just great , Nostalgia back to times when techno and house music were standard in most games . The biggest downside really for me is that the car animations are fairly average but otherwise the game is definitely worth picking up if you find it at a good price , I've played a few racers on DS and popular doesn't always mean best , Some of the best rated racers such as race driver and ridge racer don't hold up as well as this game. The other game i would recommend as a racer is moto Racer

So if it wasn't for the final fantasy branding and gimmicks it would read more like a 5/10 . I don't think it's fair that games get good scores from nostalgia alone .

Heres an idea , how about not including stupid ass weddings in the first place?! i love the irony that all of this seems like a big deal but then everybody forgets to see that fire emblem is a war game and war isn't nice no matter how colourful and happy you try and make it look and hey nintendo when was war fun? I think they are double standards when it comes to releases.

Nintendo doesn't need to do anything too much except keep releasing quality and a variety of games. My problem is nintendo have been getting arrogant and relying on nostalgia and fan service to sell games rather than making big improvements for current gen or creating something which relates to gamers in 2016. The last thing nintendo needs to do is move over to mobile gamers , It would be a step backwards , They need to keep moving forward with the tech and produce new and amazing things , if nintendo copies everyone else they lose their value big time . Also the problem with popularity is it only lasts so long , Look at companies like Gameloft and zynga , Once were huge but now popularity has been on downfall and they are starting to lose interest and virtually have nothing in their library of any longstanding value .

How about this , Stop talking about figures , Stats , Everything nobody cares about outside of business and start talking about new games, provide more updates , Features , Push for exclusive interviews , You know actually the fun side of things .

Nintendo are obviously still on holidays , I mean it's not like anybody who recently got a nintendo console for xmas would want any new games to play in the second week.

UK Don't have bad test , Most of the Hype comes from NA , Popular Gaming Sites , Forums etc most are based in NA who generate the hype , Europe just follows the trends , Sadly UK market are easy to jump on the bandwagon hype just like the tech market . Even the PS4/XBOX1 you will only really see the most popular games on shelves the rest are bought via amazon and online etc which goes to show why the big franchises are always selling good .
I mean what the hell is up with Animal crossing happy home designer being 3ds top selling game? the reason , Because it says animal crossing in the name , The uk market is pretty narrow minded when it comes to making choices.

Too much fan service in this list , Needs new franchises and more indie games , Zero time Dilemma looks pretty good i will probably pick up that one, The rest.. ehhh not too sure but Bravely second from the trailer looks pretty amazing for an RPG and if Project x zone 2 comes out cheaper than full price maybe maybe.

It's been a great year for WiiU and Nintendo capped it off right at the end with both great retail and eshop games but the problem with Nintendo is they are simply just not doing enough to promote or make the wiiu accessible especially in UK , The wiiu was selling for around £240 with a game around xmas , PS4 and xb1 were selling for slightly more but then you also got a few games included in most bundles . 3DS apart from a few quality eshop releases has been very slow and average for games and unless you wanted remakes or spinoffs their has not been much variety and quality at all , Nintendo have seemingly turned the 3DS into an RPG and platform console. The mobile reveal was almost a joke , nobody really cared for mobile and when we did because of nintendo they made us care even less . Overall very mixed and i think they need to either reveal the NX soon or make bigger steps to release more games on their consoles which generate hype or else they are riding a sinking ship into 2016.

The problem is peeps , It's ok for you boys and girls out there who don't earn the money , The rest of peeps who are out working making a living to buy stuff will probably make a one time impulse purchase , Nintendo in their wisdom decides to not only underpower the original 3ds but also make the screen smaller and without the additional buttons but then made accessories for people to improve the experience . If you bought the original and bought all the accessories you would be damned if you were to upgrade to a 3dsxl and then a new 3ds , Not many people at least in europe are foolish enough to part with so much money if they can still use the console for almost the same things , I would imagine peeps would rather keep the original and put the money towards a home console if anything , Nintendo have just got completely greedy and silly with their decisions in a time when peeps have as much choice as ever to go you know what screw you guys we will just play mobile games because it's cheap and always available.

All of these great old school games on wiiu , None of it makes a damn difference if people aren't buying a WiiU , The console is too expensive and desperately needs either dropping in price , Refreshing or retiring ASAP.

If you go into any shop selling video games in the UK Nintendo is either hardly featured or not even on the shelves , Most are dominated by xb1 and ps4 . I think the retailers are just shallow sell outs and are just as much to blame for the problems in the UK Market , The only place i've seen make a bit of an effort for nintendo is ToysRus. I would like to see who is also buying ps4 and xb1 games in store except day 1 buyers and pre orders as most GAME and other video game sections are dead , I rarely see many people in GAME or around any video game section in a store. The problem though is GAME and other retailers are proving that the market itself is shallow and based on hype and gimmicks and this is the future unless you support Nintendo and the indies.

One last thing , Half the userbase are too young to buy the game anyway and mums and dads won't buy a game for their kids called dementium the ward it already sounds pretty disturbing just in the title alone.

5. The rest of europe outside UK can mostly speak fluent English far better than most Americans so don't use the translation costs as an excuse when subtitles will easily cover the language barrier if you put a bit of effort into it , Most non english speaking countries are already used to subtitled or dubbed international media but it doesn't stop them from buying a product.

1.make better quality games 2. do not region lock the entire world outside of america especially when you are just porting old games which already existed on ds in different regions 3. don't moan about it nobody gives me sympothy in my job and nobody will in yours either 4. if you cannot make appealing games for 3ds where else are you going to do it because it won't be cheaper or easier , Don't blame the platform

you dawgs are funny how the hype has taken over your mind , Nearly all fire emblems suck or well at least overrated and hyped to a neutral gamer . The battle system and gameplay of these games are for addictive personalities who prefer stat grinding and repeat over anything else. The gba versions were unique and different at the time but that was then and this is now let go of the past and move on try something new most hyped doesnt mean best.

@ikki5 The problem is Nintendo fans are getting older and older peeps have more priorities and need to be more sensible with money , The prices of new gen means a console is an investment into the future rather than an impulse buy and people will look into the most futureproof , feature packed console. The Wiiu needs to be affordable and / or be something so next gen that it just asks to take your money , Otherwise it's a glorifies wii and people won't see any sense in upgrading as the wii is a great console in its own right.

Here is the problem in UK , Retail Nintendo games which are hyped never really drop in price , Most exclusives are still almost full price at most retailers and the consoles are still almost full price . The wiiu is failing because of nintendo and their spartan prices , Every time the wii u has gone on sale here in UK it has been sold out within days , People want the Wiiu but nintendo are not making it accessible to buy for a lot of people , To be honest if they won't drop the price or create a cheaper sub model then they need to kill it off quick if they wish to remain open as a console business in europe , Mobile and other competition have got nothing to do with it this is all down to Nintendos Bad decisions.

this is a decent game peeps, ok i would have been piased paying full price but,i got it for about £4 and its worth it. The baseball and archery are pretty fun and many games would be great two player, ok the games are simple and there arent many options but they are still fun and require some skills, graphics are decent not the best but very similar to wii like 1st party sports games. the worst game by far is basketball,it just doesnt work as a duel touch game, the game requires two actions in one movement of the stick which sounds simple enough but the 3ds touch input doesnt register quick enough for it to work everytime. Overall i would give it a 7 out of 10, it does what its supposed to do and doesnt really do much wrong except basketball,points down for lack of sports but worthwhile at a cheap price .

This is what i'm talking about sega,stop wasting time and resources on mobile and start getting back to the quality you are known for , this is like the first day one download for me since i bought the 3ds.

I think you should realise the responsibility you face on these reviews and how they can affect peoples decisions to buy, this is actually more damaging in most cases to the system than good and it will mean peeps will stop developing for nintendo consoles if the bar is set so high against 1st party software.

why are nintendo aiming for perfection anyway with every release? no game is perfect For everybody , at least give it a chance unless its broken ,the days without social media this would have never happened and critic reviews overshadow cult player base , games which were rated average and never supposed to span mass audience have become cult classics thanks to the players not the critics, i feel that age of finding thise gems has now gone thanks to media hype of the industry.
