@Radbot42 I imagine it'll be relatively pricey cereal, but it shouldn't really cost as much as an amiibo. The actual NFC tech in an amiibo is very, very cheap, what you're paying for with the normal range is the figure / game content.
@Beedrill4Smash Controls are the same either way because you have all the same inputs. In my case I mostly used the Pro Controller and handheld mode, so no reason you can't use a Grip or just chill with the controllers loose in each hand.
@riChchestM I appreciate the sentiment, I do copy and paste pricing but still then edit to make it a bit easier to read (the press release format isn't great).
So I copy what I can, basically, but with the game entries and linking it still takes a while when there are a gazillion discounts and releases. We considered ditching the little descriptions for new releases or using the PR ones, but to be honest I prefer sharing little snippets of our own info + review links. It just takes a little time when there are a lot of releases, and I normally do the NA update first. With all the 'Cyber Deals' this week, the EU one just took 30-40 mins longer than normal.
@Dayton311 I never got all the way through 2, but played Revelations 1 a few times. They're pretty standalone, but I'd play them in order anyway. I enjoyed the first one more.
On a happier note, I think I may take the plunge on Rayman Legends for Switch with the discount. I have it for Wii U but, to be honest, the poor thing is in the cupboard now...
@ALinkttPresent As mentioned, it's been out in Europe for 5 days. On top of that even if it was out in NA the servers are region-restricted, so it'd make zero difference for the review.
@alasdair91 It's prettier than those screens suggest, the assets weren't particularly high-res. It's quite good looking overall, occasional flickers but, on the whole, it's an attractive game.
@Azooooz Yep it does, I even said as much in the review
By the way, a couple of comments are thinking this is the same game as 'Pure Chess' on the Wii U / 3DS. It is completely different, albeit it shares a few ideas.
@antster1983 Indeed, but beyond PR guff we await details of release dates etc from Warner Bros. They'll have to do something interesting to make it worth buying at retail, especially as it's $19.99 even on the Switch eShop.
@Shiryu From what I understand Warner Bros. is going to handle bringing Rocket League to retail, but I don't think any solid plans have been confirmed.
@Exy I understand that's an important topic to you, but at the end of the day it's a phrase used commonly in various contexts. Nintendo won't be the first or last company to do so.
@Mario500 I didn't have anyone specific in mind with my remarks as I've not actually seen who's leaking; hence my comments about the possibility of avoiding leaks because I've been lucky that way, but some have also been unlucky in seeing them unintentionally (like at end of video 'suggestions' by YouTube).
Do I think people that intentionally breach agreements like embargoes are idiots, though? Absolutely. That's my personal opinion on it - when people make unintentional mistakes I can try and understand, but I can't when it's done deliberately. As seen above, too, it causes issues for those wanting to avoid spoilers and prompts some publishers to lash out and punish other outlets.
@PlywoodStick That's true, YouTube can push videos you don't technically subscribe to if it matches subject matter you follow. Fair enough.
@AlexSora89 Yeah, my frustration came out in my comment, because I think people that break embargoes in that way are idiots! While publishers typically appreciate and don't penalise outlets with good records, you get the perception spread by some that every individual / site / channel with early copies will be eejits and leak everything. That's just the internet, I'm afraid.
@gordjscott Yes, THQ Nordic tends to go a bit high with its console prices because, as mentioned above, they're trying to push them as budget retail games. Same with Sine Mora EX.
@AlexSora89 Some people are idiots and will lose review privileges, for our part we always do our utmost to respect embargoes. If people spoil stuff online Nintendo has the right to not give them copies in future.
I heard leaks were online but they've not been in any of my feeds. My point being that who you follow will determine how much gets spoiled for you, and you can control that in future.
@janfritz No, you only need to press and hold a little longer than normal and it'll do a beep noise (and show the little window top-left with a video icon). It captures the 30 seconds from before the button press, too, so play like normal and if something awesome happens press and hold the Capture button.
@BLP_Software Added a wee update for the News tab.
As for the controller part of it, maybe it's just improved connectivity. There are couple of weird little bugs where syncing things a certain way can upset the system, so perhaps things like that have been fixed.
@JibberX My advice is to equip all the characters / weapons you have with the 'Vampire' ability, and have at least one healer in there. Without the right setup the final boss is extremely tough, no doubt.

Re: Review: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch)
@rjejr There's a bit of Rumble, but I didn't really 'feel it', ahahahaha (sorry).
No amiibo support, no motion controls.
Re: Super Mario Cereal Will Start Milking the Franchise on 11th December in the US
Also, do people eat a bowl that full of cereal in the morning? Crikey, I could never stomach all that early in the day.
To be fair, I only have a glass of orange juice and an espresso for breakfast every day, which isn't very healthy or sensible.

Re: Music: Sample the Delights of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Soundtrack With 'Shadow of the Lowlands'
@erv It is available for eShop pre-load in Europe, maybe NA too.
Re: Nintendo of America's Thanksgiving Message Highlights the Joys of Portable Gaming
@Bunkerneath Also, the plates have no gravy. As a Brit, the idea of a roast dinner without gravy is blasphemy.

@riChchestM The text, links to game pages, poll etc don't appear as if by magic. But hey, next time I'll just copy and paste the crap press release.
Re: ARMS Gets a Switch News Post Gift to Promote First 'Party Crash'
@BezBot Haha, what typo
Re: Preview: Returning to a Strange Universe in Xenoblade Chronicles 2
@datamonkey That's exactly how it is.
Re: Mario Party: The Top 100 Gets a New Festive Release Date in Europe
@Bunkerneath If they were being American they'd have written it as 12/22, not 22/12

@yuwarite Ah, you might have cracked it!

Video's been added, btw!
Re: Feature: What We Expect From the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Direct
@onex Not really primetime in Japan, no, more like 10/11pm I think?

Re: Feature: Ripstone On Making the Right Moves With Chess Ultra on Nintendo Switch
@dystome Aiming to get the review up for tonight.
Re: Feature: Ripstone On Making the Right Moves With Chess Ultra on Nintendo Switch
@KoopaTheGamer One thing I like is real-time online matches with timers, whereas Pure Chess only really had 'chess by mail' games.
Re: Feature: Ripstone On Making the Right Moves With Chess Ultra on Nintendo Switch
@Parkour_LMan Yep!
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd November (Europe)
@Oat For Kirby? I don't have an eta on that yet unfortunately. Chess Ultra will be tomorrow, because I'm doing it!
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd November (North America)
@flapjack-ashley That's weird, I'll add it to the article.
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd November (Europe)
Hands up if you'd completely forgotten that Kirby Battle Royale was out this week...
Re: Style Savvy: Styling Star Will Be a Festive Release in North America
@PanurgeJr Ah, I missed that line, thanks for that. Added an update.
25th December is still a Monday, though, so it's still slightly odd!
Re: Style Savvy: Styling Star Will Be a Festive Release in North America
@Anti-Matter I believe so, but presumably you'd have to wait until 26th December to get a boxed copy.
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd November (North America)
@flapjack-ashley It's meant to, yeah, but it's not there in the US. Still apparently hitting Europe today.

@G0dlike It's free to download initially and you pay to unlock most chapters, so I haven't had a chance to check yet.
Re: Video: A New Theory on How Pauline Got Her Name
@NEStalgia This rabbit hole gets deeper and deeper!
Re: Video: A New Theory on How Pauline Got Her Name

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th October (Europe)
@Henmii Not according to the press release, but it may have just been missed by Nintendo
Re: Massive Nintendo Switch System Update - Version 4.0.0 - Adds Video Capture and More
Alright, all updated from the full changelog. Pre-purchase / pre-loading was a big thing people wanted, so that's neat.

@Nintendoforlife Swapped the video, hopefully that'll work.
Re: The Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Ultra Challenge Pack DLC is Now Live
@Wazeddie22 Yeah, I googled one of them, to be honest!
