Is it a bit too optimistic to put a Switch Pro/BoTW2 bundle on my 2021 Christmas list?

I just bought Oceanhorn, which is a shame as I'd have loved to have supported it on a Nintendo platform. Hope they bring the sequel to the switch as I'd be all over that.

Gurumin is dearer than I was expecting... maybe they'll have a discount code. That was the only thing I wanted though.

I'm still disappointed Nintendo didn't buy cing when they were in trouble, they'd have been a great fit. So I'll definitely be getting the chase game, and will finally get to use some of my gold coins too!

Glad the QoL project Is still underway. Hopefully that will account for the recent heart rate monitor articles and keep it away from being a standard interface for the NX itself.

It they brought I an everybody votes style feature, or If I could use Miitomo to talk to people in whatsapp rather than just to send a link to the app I would be all over it. As it is, this update really isn't changing anything about core "gameplay" such as it is so isn't going to bring me back.

Since link is just waking from a hundred year sleep they could have set the game leading up to that with zelda using her wisdom to bring about the conditions for link's awakening (if you'll excuse the pun).

@CB85 what I think he meant but did not say clearly is that people that already own Wii U will buy the game, but it will not sell Wii U systems. However he sees the game as a driver of NX hardware.

why, when Sony and Microsoft are both having to release new versions of their home consoles to handle vr at an acceptable level, are we supposed to believe Nintendo is putting it in a portable console that plugs into the tv. Is that even possible?

The Other option that's touted is a home console with a controller that also acts as an independent portable, but If the Wii u was offputtingly expensive (and unprofitable) with its dumb terminal, how can this be priced anywhere near mainstream acceptance?

If even half the rumours swirling around are true I don't see how Nintendo is going to be first choice for second console, never Mind the first choice, full stop. Fell like it's just going to be us die hard Nintendo fans enjoying the console again, but that is just not sustainable market if unles they drastically rethink their business to be 'cheap and cherful'.

What I don't want is a portable that plugs into the TV. That couldn't be powerful enough to compete with ps4 or xo which is what Nintendo need for third party support and a successful generation.
My main concern with a controller that acts as a handheld is the price they'd cost together, which I think is a reason the Wii u struggled. Still I'd be happy with that idea as a concept.

@shani I guess my joke referring to the mess Nintendo have made of this generation fell a bit flat, lol. i definitely see Nintendo as market steering on the innovation front, and several key Sony, ms and publisher figures acknowledge their debt to Nintendo but even when they were selling 100m Wii you get the feeling MS and Sony only competed against each other and saw Nintendo as a separate issue entirely.

Does Ninendo get sued this much in the EU/Japan or is it just the USA as seems to be the case? Is it the law there that makes it easy or the companies more keen on grubby money tactics than elsewhere?

I imagine he sees Nintendo as a beacon in the sense that they are in a dangerous area he wants to steer his business well away from.

I hope more games means more IP, not just getting Mario Kart et al. more frequently. Most of their big games are ok with one per system any more and the fact they are so iterative would leave people fatigued by them like assassin's creed. I enjoy looking forward to Nintendo games dont want that to change.

Hmm, I'll be ignoring this junk along with the discounts for games I already own until 6 months down the line when I realise my points are running out and since I'll still own the games discounts are being offered for, I will begrudgingly buy this nonsense for the Miitomo app I won't have touched for months. Welcome to the future.

Even Facebook has friend limits, because they know it is impossible to interact with so many people in a genuine way. The only exception is it would be cool if they had verified users as they do on miiverse that could have a larger number of followers, though i wouldn't expect that to be a two way interaction so would be a special case.

@citizenerased the faster OS/eShop/downloads on New 3DS XL is reason enough to get it even if nothing else appeals,.

@Politoed Maybe when they launch the new loyalty programme/account service? That's a major change and not too far away. Hope there's some more details at E3, including linking purchase to NNID rather than hardware.
