@subpopz couldn't agree more on this. Seriously, voice chat on the console is so easy and I don't know why they're so adamant to use a phone app. A wireless headset system would work very easily while the switch is docked.
I love when devs do this. They reveal this huge, great looking game and they discreetly reveal it's out for switch, almost like they're not assuming people expect most modern games to be on switch. Also, MK11 on Switch? Hell yeah!
This game is entirely possible on the switch. It is entire capable of running correctly. However, the developers for this game are absolutely terrible at porting. The PS4 and Xbox versions have identical issues and framedrops as the switch version, and the PC version is still very buggy. However, I must admit, despite all of the bugs, if you get a group of friends together on a server, this game can be really fun.
Salty tiny Lego bricks. The game is actually really good. This is the problem with controversial games like this and public review sites. They don't like it, they simply review it as being garbage. That's why you use sites like this one, or Polygon, IGN (even though it's not very valid), etc.
People were expecting Nintendo to reveal smash and animal crossing. Seriously? Nintendo spoiled us at E3 and yet it wasn't enough. Plus, why would Nintendo reveal more games? We already have a solid lineup.
@Heavyarms55 But you have to look at the larger demographic of Nintendo players. They're in it for the fun, not the "hardcore" part. Honestly, I think the switch is better off without those "MLG" call of duty gamers. We don't need over competitive screamers playing splatoon.
@TrubbishForMayor I completely agree. If it remains an exclusive I'm going to be so mad. I also hope they release a reproduction cartridge for it for us SNES collectors.
It's basically the "Xbox or Playstation" phenomenon.
They're both essentially the same consoles. They both have around the same power, and they both have mostly the same games. Every time a new AAA title comes out, if it's on one, it's on the other.
To sum it up rather quickly - it all depends on games. Sega had its fair share of great 3rd party titles and even had a rather fun handful of 1st party games as well. Games like Alex Kidd and Sonic were huge hits. The same goes for Super Nintendo. It had Mario World, Zelda Link to the past, and more.
In my opinion, SNES is better, just because of the games. If you prefer Sonic over Mario, then Genesis will probably be your favorite. The hardware is almost exactly the same.
It is all based on opinion and sometimes the controller design. (BTW I really didn't like the genesis but Mega Man: The Wily Wars was a fantastic game )
I still think it's always good to get a physical guide if you have the choice to. You don't have to keep surfing around Gamefaqs, IGN, and all the other internet guides, because you can just quickly look it up in the book. Another plus is that if you're looking for a day 1 guide, IGN, GameFAQS, even Nintendolife won't have a guide for you. I may or may not pick this up depending on whether or not I 100% the game by around christmas time.
I'm actually quite happy that Nintendo notices the flaws in some of the characters and abilities. One thing I do wish happened is that the grab mechanic would be nerfed in many different ways.
The first issue is the infinite grab loop. You know what I'm talking about. Most of us who have the game have done it once or twice. It is when you land a grab, throw your opponent, and, as soon as they get up, you grab them again. I feel like they should increase the invincibility time when recovering.
The second is the speed. I feel like the grabs should go at 75% the speed of the normal arms. This potentially could give players a chance to dodge the grabs easier.
Then, finally, is the damage. Not much to say here, but I feel like grabs should be used as a way to get some distance between you and your opponent, rather than using it as a spam-like technique to do ridiculous amounts of damage.
Well, the update seems pretty solid. The other balancing patches were very necessary. I even agree with the kid cobra nerf even though he is my main
@KIREEK That is a great idea. Releasing them in bundles could be quite convenient to other people. It'll spare Nintendo the stress of releasing a bunch of games over a long period of time.

One word. Fun. That's all I care about and is still all I care for. Although, a good story every now and then is always good too.

Re: A Free Update Is Coming to Super Mario Odyssey Next Month
Neat!
This could easily signify that Nintendo is open to adding updates/DLC to Odyssey. Hopefully we'll get a larger scale DLC in the future.
Also, with this DLC, the jump rope glitch probably got patched. Guess we have to actually get 100 jumps now!

It's not like anyone even intended to get NBA anyways, since most Nintendo fans are nerds who hate sports.
