@Zequio Me too. And my thinking is not only the past increases but the Switch and Switch 2 are not your normal consoles like the past or PS5 or XBOX but mobile. And low power mobile chips are cheaper than say, for example, a desktop PC compared to an iPad. At least that is how I compare it. The PS5 is going to be more powerful than the Switch 2 and therefor the higher price. If Nintendo gets up to that range in pricing then it needs to be more powerful. It's basically an iPad with joy-cons.

The Gamecube controller should be the main controller for the Switch 2 anyway. Perfect controller for gaming.

@sanderev OLED raised the price for that model. The Switch 2 doesn't appear to have that.

Inflation or not, those were the selling prices for 3 decades. So why would you expect a $100+ increase? If the spike was that great from 2017, we would be in huge trouble. Nobody would be purchasing a Switch 2. Food would be scarce.

@Zequio Nintendo's history shows that when an increase did happen, it was $50 USD. Not $100+. So no, I do not think it will be a $400+ console. Specially since it uses low power mobile chips.

Way too high. It's powered by low power mobile technology in a thin iPad style design. $300 would be best for most Nintendo fans. $350 max.

Last time Trump was in office, prices dropped and peace was made with other countries. How soon we forget. Now he wants peace between Ukraine and Russia, taxes dropped in multiple areas (more money in your pockets), lower medical expenses, and fair tariff cost for our country. Just to name a few. Yeah, he's a real jerk. Anyone really following politics or just reading headlines? Analyst also thought Kamala was going to win.

The 2DS is my favorite mobile console. Small enough to fit in my pants/shorts side pocket but still feels good in the hands, better than the 3DS. Sorry but the Switch is too big to lug around.

If they are emulated, I hope its the N64 version. Never liked the PS1 graphics.

No interest in Steam Deck. Always been a Nintendo fan and play some games on my PC.

I'm guessing $350 USD. Any higher becomes out of reach for most players, specially when buying for young children.

@HammerKirby Have you seen those N64 cart shelves that layer them so you can see each one. Those are nice. They sell them on amazon.

@HammerKirby Yep. I only have one cart with it. Just picked it up recently. Tried to just peel it but will have to use a hair dryer on it.

@Duncanballs What I love seeing (sarcasm) is carts on ebay listed as "like new" or "very good" and it looks like a Garbage Pail Kid just vomited it up. I don't think these people know that if you clean your game up before sale, you may get more money.

@Duncanballs I saw a video where someone used rain-x to get the marker out. Just let it sit on it for a couple of minutes and it just wiped right off.

And thankfully they couldn't. Carts didn't get scratched up, load faster and still look good... depending on the owner. I will never understand those who still put sticker labels on N64 carts today. Stop it!!!

@Waveboy And having a real controller in hand like the SNES, N64 or Gamecube controller just felt right. These little thin controllers just feel a bit weak. Now I hope the new console does well but Nintendo needs to make a real console and not an iPad knock off.

@michellelynn0976 No trolling here. Been a Nintendo fan since the NES. I just find the name and design kind of weak. Not interested in 4K gaming either. They take longer to develop and download.

@Bobb Remember searching for "Wii U" and "Wii" showing up in the results? A new name makes a difference. I hope it does well but the name and design are kind of weak. Switch 2... Wii U the 3rd... Nothing new or exciting really. Hopefully good games get released for this system to make up for the lack of a new creative console.

My son sold his PS5. He didn't play it much because of the lack of games or games he thought were worth playing.

Where's Nintendo's creativity? We went from a fat Switch (Wii U) to the slim Switch (current) and now onto a I ate my Wheaties Switch. That's basically the same console with minor differences.

When playing golf or bowling on Switch Sports, sure do.

Tetris NES is #1. There's a reason why people still use it to compete. It was huge when it launched and it doesn't have any gimmicky features. Tetris SNES is #2 and Tetris GB is #3.

Looks pretty cool to me.
