Had a bit of fun with the PC version of this. Not quite as tight as Power Stone, but it scratches that itch. Wish it had a few more characters and modes.
I just got the 8bitdo Lite which I've since been using like a fidget cube while I work, holding it in one hand and pressing random buttons just because it feels good. This will be even better for that.
Good. My kid's been watching Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog and while it's great for my nostalgia it'll be nice to watch something a bit more modern...
I still don't understand what they were going for with that first design, other than giving kids nightmares. This is a huge improvement and worth the delay. The movie itself still looks kinda corny but I wouldn't mind bringing my kid to see it.
The team clearly has some talent in terms of animation. Shame they had to use it on something so blatantly derivative. But maybe if they hadn't the game would have received less attention, so...
I am both a professional illustrator and near life-long SEGA fan who got Streets of Rage 2 for Christmas many, many years ago and I have decided that the art direction in this game is great. The end.
(That's sarcasm, but really it's clear the devs put a lot of effort into this and I think they've done a good job. The sound design could use some work, but visually it's pretty strong)
I was about 35 hours into the game on PC. I'm excited to restart on Switch!
I've played a few minutes of the demo. From what I can tell it's pretty visually similar to what I experienced on PC, at least in handheld mode. I'm pleased.
@DarkLloyd Easier said than done. Depends on how many tantrums you want to deal with. Either way, we don't allow him to watch YouTube.
Unfortunately Ryan's made his way to other platforms like Hulu and Amazon. He even has a Nick Jr show now. He's near inescapable. I'm just hoping he never reaches Netflix.
I wonder how much the Sonic movie crew collaborated with Sonic Team or even Yuji Naka or Naoto Oshima. Because I feel like at some point during production one of them would have been like "nah, this ain't it, chief".
I also miss Miiverse. Sharing to Twitter and Facebook is fine, but I loved being able to share screenshots and drawings without bugging my non-gaming friends with them. I vote Nintendo bring it back in some form.
I'm looking forward to playing this with my son. We've played Mario Kart 8 to death so it will be nice to switch things up. I just hope the Switch version holds up visually compared to the others.
All this for $50, too. There are racing games I can get on Android for five bucks that look better than this. I don't understand what they were thinking.
I've got the Playstation version of this stick that I mostly use for MAME and my Retropie. It's pretty fun to use, very compact. Great for when I don't want to lug out my HRAP...
If they can manage to fit the same size screen, or bigger, into something with a smaller form factor I'd buy it. Not sure how possible that is, but I miss the portability of a 3DS sometimes.
I've been playing this on my TV via Steam with a Switch controller, so I guess I'm good. Portability makes a heck of a difference, though. I could sink so many more hours into it that way...
I recently dug out my Wii U to play Super Mario 3D World and some Wii games with my son. Now I live in constant fear that he will break the gamepad and I'll never be able to replace it.

Re: Review: Jamestown+ - Yet Another Fine Addition To The Switch's Shmup Stable
This game was responsible for re-igniting my love of shmups a few years back. I'd consider grabbing it again...

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Wants Nintendo To Be As Big As Disney, But Concerned Parents Are Making It Difficult

I pray that my 4-year-old never sees this on the eshop.
Re: Hardware Review: Retro-Bit's Bluetooth Sega Pads Are Perfect For Retro On Your Switch
I'm happy with my M30 but... I kinda want that Saturn pad, too. No word on the pads with analog sticks that they showed off long ago?
Re: Hardware Review: The PowerA Fusion FightPad Is Great For Retro, But Ironically Not So Good For Fighters
@CurryPowderKeg79 There's a bluetooth version of the M30 that doesn't require an adapter for the Switch. Works perfectly.
Re: Capcom Looking To "Awaken" Past Franchises After The "Indisputable Successes" Of Resident Evil And Monster Hunter
Turn Power Stone into Capcom's version of Smash Bros, use it to promote forgotten characters, print money, bring me joy.
Re: Rumour: New Images Supposedly Show Sonic's Movie Redesign, But We're Not Convinced Just Yet
When you compare the two... you really have to wonder what the heck they were thinking with that first design. Like... why.

Re: Review: Asphalt 9: Legends - Likeable Burnout-Style Racing Action, If You Play The Right Way
I'd pay good money for a solid arcade racer. Much less interested in sinking money into a f2p game. But I'll try it out...
I've played it on my phone before and it was fun, despite all the usual f2p annoyances.
Re: Video: Introducing The C-Force C-Air, An External 4K Monitor For Your Nintendo Switch

Re: 2D Arcade Brawler Fight'N Rage Will Beat Up Your Switch Next Week
I've been playing this game for a while through Steam and thought it would be the perfect fit for Switch. I'm glad the devs thought the same!

I can't let my 4-year-old son see this. I'll never get my Switch back.
I cannot stand Ryan's Toy Review.
Re: Random: We Really Hope The New Nintendo Switch Looks Like This
If not the Switch, work that design into an Android or open source handheld and I'd easily buy it.
