@River3636 Why no-one let alone Sega hasn't up to this point done that has got to be either some really slow and not with it corp big wigs are thinking or there's too many 3rd parties to deal with to get have all the rights to their catalog in order to do it any justice.
@rockodoodle It is quite unreal that N hasn't done exactly that, MS, Sony, Stadia, etc., all have a indy division, I don't think N has done enough for them, way too many garbage games on the N Store now, they need better search filters or change the storefront to accommodate Indy's..
@Finntendo64 Without the Shield you wouldn't have the Switch nor would Google have the foothold of Android TV that they now have, here now go buy a vowel..
If only we still had Papyrus, and hey maybe someday some Publisher will rein a F1 game on us, but just don't hold your breath since Codesh*tters is no more..https://www.theverge.com/2020/12/14/22173732/ea-codemasters-buyout-agreed-price-need-for-speed-dirt, and they are the ONLY ones that have the rights to the F1 games and any other "decent" driving/racing games for consoles atm...Oh and just who do WE have to thank for all of this yeah, that'd be the above "entitled" company...so the more you buy the more they buy.. I've NOT and will NOT EVER buy any EA games, for the past 15 or so years, and that's how you fix that problem.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papyrus_Design_Group
@Kuromi That and I would just love for someone to figure out what the actual REAL cost "would be" for someone to do this at home with a single avg sub $200-$500.00 3D printer..? They also really need to start blending/melding this into the VR Kits before that becomes a forgotten item...
If they ever, ever brought back GRAW, give me a call, but for nearly the past decade about the only thing they've been known for is pumping out sequels and then delaying them...
@Belatarr The Switch will have "Arrived" once you can play GTA/Red Dead/COD...I would imagine sometime early next year with the updated Switch XL and more Cloud support..
Really at a loss on why they missed a huge opportunity to pick right up where the 3DS left off with the Mini lite, (with reverse compatibility, the main selling point over the reg Switch)but hey what do I know, just gotta squeeze every dime out first..That's why they've lasted as long as they have..
I would emplore all to please read as much as you can into all the laughable "glowing" reviews of project X cloud, whilst Stadia will be basically locked at 4k 60fps, MS is barely able to run 720p under 30fps and Sony just signed onto use their servers exclusively, and everyone thought N was somehow "behind" or slow to catch on ?
The Nintedo difference is they Don't and still aren't required to have an "online" presence like Sony and MS, other then friggin publisher's day 1 updates..
Yeah because just good enough should be ok for you when paying full price for a aged game that just launched but yet needs a month 1 patch... No! why do people accept this garbage ?? Dev's used to play-test games for up to 3 years or more before launch, now it's a barely playable game and the publishers just dump and run...You want this to stop, then stop pre-ordering games and stop buying day 1, wait until they make it a playable game, then maybe they'll learn..
Too bad it'll be too little too late, we needed this 2 years ago not this summer..Everyone and their brother let alone N will have something wireless to announce at E3..
Every time I hear a dev say yeah there's a patch coming once again I wonder where my paycheck is for being a friggin tester for the company then eh ??? Nothing more then a money grab pure and simple..Fact.
N just needs to do a better job of not letting junk games through, like they said they were going to do..but they are not, they said they were NOT going to let all the shovel-ware through like they did on the Wii & Wii U, but here we are again all they do is see the $$ and woosh all the crapware is here again.. I'm still bewildered on how any game is let through that does NOT have touchscreen capabilities, really is this not like the MAIN selling point of the switch, let alone Joy Con support.. If your game doesn't meet certain criteria it shouldn't be on the e-shop period, go back and make it right, not with a patch make it right the first time..
So I guess ppl are still so far back in tech that they either don't see the possibilities of Scaling or just don't get it yet, but here it is again and yet they still aren't getting the possibility of what N can do with the Switch and third parties, MS is getting it and Sony will be left out in the cold, weather Scalebound will or won't be resurrected or not is irrelevant, what is are the endless possibilities of the CLOUD, just watch what Google has to announce in March.
@TheFox I appreciate the info, will definitely be waiting for updates/patches and a huge discount before taking the leap, currently awaiting my release of V-Rally in the US.
Most shoot for a solid 60 fps, hell a lot really want more especially for Sim racing or a flight game but really, sometimes it struggles at 20 ?? So you just couldn't wait to poop that out and not just try to make it a little better first ? Beta at best again..
A D-pad (short for directional pad[1] or digital pad; also known as a control pad) is a flat, usually thumb-operated four-way directional control with one button on each point, found on nearly all modern video game console gamepads, game controllers, on the remote control units of some television and DVD players, and smart phones. Like early video game joysticks, the vast majority of D-pads are digital; in other words, only the directions provided on the D-pad buttons can be used, with no intermediate values.
I will never understand how you throw a unfinished game out and then say oops well it was almost there...then wait for the inevitable day what patch to fix what they didn't in their bumbled first beta release, how old is this getting ?? Just stop already, if you're game isn't done then it isn't ready for release..let alone public consumption..
