I would’ve like the option for regular online co op if I’m being honest. Physically interacting with others is always a good time and I would rather my friends not get left behind because they’re stuck on a boss or something
Honestly, it looks fantastic. I've been looking forward to another 2d platformer. Also not sure where all of the "Not Disney" comes from, considering this looks closer to Walt's version of the character compared to the stuff we had prior
Don’t care for Xenoblade, but I’ll probably pick up the Pyra Mythra amiibo to go with my Kos-Mos statue. I believe they used the redesign from Xenoblade 2 for it, so it would be nice to have the three together
@TurboTEF So stuff like Kirby 64, Metal Slug, Crash(can definitely argue the trilogy is mostly 2d), and Skullmonkies were never played? This isn’t supposed to be some “hehe gotcha!”, I just wanted to tell you that there are good 2d games out there that I think are worth playing regardless of their framerate. If you choose not to play them though, then so be it
I’m surprised Portrait of Ruin was never mentioned once, which this game takes more inspiration from that compared to SOTN. Also if you played that game, the main characters were very talkative too, so I see that as a positive. Lol
Yeesh, all this Star Allies hate. I personally loved the game Anyways I'm very much looking for to RTDL Deluxe. I preordered the Japanese version months ago, hopefully it gets here near launch
@RupeeClock in the Wii original, the other players had access to other Kirbys as playable characters. They weren’t stuck with the with other three. Also I assume the only reason why Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Dee not playable in single player mode is because the game wouldn’t be beatable with them, due to Super Abilities
@Toadie You have to remember that majority of people didn't even play the game due to the console it was on, so they just wrote it off, which I find rather unfortunate
Personally speaking, I loved Paper Mario Color Splash, Star Fox Zero, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Yoshi's Wolly World, and Monster Hunter 3U. I think a good chunk of other games I'd recommend have been ported to Switch. OH, and you have the virtual console, so you have a nice backlog of older titles to dig your teeth into. I loved my Wii U personally and I hope you have fun time with it, even with the advent of the switch.
It's Bayonetta. The story is probably incoherent like the last two games, so there's probably not much to spoil. I'll still be holding off on buying Bayo 3 though
@Arawn93 I didn't say anything about respect? I'm quite familiar with VA backstabbing since my favorite VA no longer does his character in media due to it
@RushDawg Because that's how the VA industry works, as unfortunate as it is. As I stated prior, Helena isn't as big as Jen in the industry, so Platinum probably thought they could get away with paying her less. Since she rejected the pay, they decided to go to some to someone who's worth more, a lot more. Possibly to use in advertisements and such
@Ryu_Niiyama She literally did try to get better pay. $4000 was the final offer from Platinum, she was going to get paid less beforehand. Also, in the case of jobs like voice acting, getting crowds of people on your side IS how you get better working conditions. The fact that she was willing to break NDA shows how serious this is
@ESC71 Honestly I would say doing this was the best thing Hellena could've done. 90% of people don't respect VAs as is (as we can see in this comment section), so drumming up loud noise was probably the only way to get people to listen
@Ryu_Niiyama Jen was probably paid a lot more then Hellena since Jennifer Hale is essentially a household name that's done work for bigger companies. Platinum probably thought they could get away with paying Hellena $4000 since she's not as big, which is pretty disgusting
The amount of people saying she's being greedy or that $4000 is a good amount for an "easy job" is disgusting. Speaking from personal experience, VA work is super tough, and for someone who is as talented as Hellena Taylor to get paid so low for her work is just awful.
@RobynAlecksys I would love to see you explain how the combat looks good. Just because it looks better then combat in other Sonic games, doesn't make it good.
As a guy who loves character action games, the combat here looks really bad. There's no weight, animations are too jittery, and most moves just put you into a cutscene. Considering this comes out a week or so after Bayo 3 and the same day as GOW, I have a feeling it's going to get less than stellar remarks in regards to that
@Moviefan2k4 As much as I love Charles, I do believe casting someone else for Mario works better in a feature length movie. It's kinda hard to be a straight man in a zany comedy movie when your voice is also high pitched and zany. Chris Pratt does a good job at making Mario sound regular. He'll probably get his iconic voice at the end of the movie anyways
Honestly, I thought the trailer was really good. A lot of people don't like Chris Pratt, but he's sounds like an everyman, just like how Mario was portrayed before 64
Ahhh, another character action game. Heck yeah, been needing another one of these. I’ll probably be done with Bayo 3 by the time this comes out, so I’ll gladly pick this up.
@Dr_Lugae Poor story? Were you just mashing A through all the cutscenes? Cyber Sleuth/Hackers Memory have better stories then any Pokémon game.
Pokémon is at the top because it’s popular and it was the first. It’s world design has been garbage since Gen 6 and it’s gameplay is brain dead easy.
Also I’m confused by your points. You bring up what I assume is Dragon Quest Monsters for the DS, which is different than both Digimon and Pokémon, then talk about Survive, which is a completely different genre done by a different team. Neither had anything to do with my points about Cyber Sleuths being better from a gameplay and story perspective.
@FishyS Hm, I didn't see the second page. Thanks for letting me know! Also the game goes on sale fairly often, so if you see it for a good price, give it a buy!
@Dr_Lugae Pokemon is at the top still because it's the most popular. I would easily put Cyber Sleuth above 90% of Pokemon titles due to its gameplay and story
I'm surprised Monster Hunter Stories 2 isn't on here. It's one of the best RPGs I've played and pulled me back into the genre. It's made with so much heart and passion along with having fantastic gameplay. I just love it so much.
@Kiwi_Unlimited Nintendo products have been widely pirated since the NES days. Compared to most other consoles, Nintendo ones are the most documented for emulation and modding for the sake of running unlicensed software or piracy. I’m pretty sure they’re the only hardware manufacturer that had to deal with people emulating their games during each of their console gens.
Things probably wouldn’t go this way if you didn’t have articles shouting that the latest Nintendo game is playable a week or two early on emulators
I needed this in my life yesterday. Portrait of Ruin is one of my favorite games of all time. I will gladly take a spiritual successor. Heck I’ll buy it multiple times over
Hm, I can see why that happened. I didn’t know the game was mostly visual novel until a couple months ago. Most of the news I heard about the game was it was a SRPG with visual novel cutscenes. I probably would’ve been pretty annoyed if I bought this game and had to deal with hours of reading before I got to my first fight.
Honestly, I'd rather buy that other Cloud bring arts based off of his original FF7 artwork. Doesn't help that Square Enix LOVES to overprice their figures for some stupid reason. For anyone who wants this, I'd wait for a sale
I haven't played Three Houses and I didn't like the Original FE Warriors, but I quite liked the demo of this game. Not sure why but everything felt great, well outside of the running around in the hub. Think I'll pick this up
@Greenmanalishi Really? I think 8 is good. Level design is fun, gameplay is solid, the story is goofy, and the sprite work looks nice. Only problem is the frame rate on Switch. I'd personally recommend it over any of those games you've mentioned
Most of the times Whispy has appeared, he's been working for Dedede. Apparently Whispy is a high ranking commander in his army, which makes sense why you fight him so much. The other times you fight him I assume he's just possessed, much like Dedede usually is
Found out this was mostly a visual novel and all my hype fell through. I do want it to release though, this game has been what, three years in the making?
Nice to see this game get a good review! I loved it on PC and I might get it again! It doesn't do much outside of the premise, but I found it to be a very enjoyable experience. Plus it's cheap, can't beat that lol
Haha, I played the demo and it already feels like my game of the year. I always loved Kirby titles and this one just feels so good to me. I’m too excited for this
@cookepuss Goodness, I got nostalgic when you metioned Athena haha. I love that game, though I will say the arcade version is better lol. Maybe that's why I like the game
Not sure why it's being described as "naughty" though. It's pretty standard anime stuff. At most it would be T rated
@Rykdrew That's very recent though. Guilty Gear during the PS3 era had awful netcode. It wasn't until the rollback patch for accent core that the online became good

Re: The First Review For Kirby's Return To Dream Land Deluxe Is Now In
@TurboTEF I take it you skipped a lot of 2d platfromers during the 5th Gen of consoles then? Lots of fun games there, 30fps too.
