@mr-duster You know you can upscale textures, right? And being able to quickly level everyone in your party at once takes away strategy from Pokemon's gameplay, which is already simple. I wouldn't be complaining about that if they, y'know made it a toggle. Less features is never a good thing. It's weird too because it was a toggle in previous games. Why force it on players now?
@mr-duster Lol, it definitely does. It looks like a upscaled 3DS game. We've seen what the switch can do, and this looks like it's not even scratching the surface. Combine that with the fact that we can't even turn off EXP Share, it looks like we'll have another braindead, easy game
Day 1 demon DLC? Why not just put them in the game? I was never a fan of this practice. I have the same issue with the Nocturne remaster putting Dante as 10 dollar DLC.
Online + Expansion Pack is such a joke. I hope Nintendo gets their head out of their ass, and actually either provides a better online service, or makes it cheaper. $50 for what's being offered is an absolute scam
@Chibi_Manny It's 60 dollars a year with Playstation and Xbox. Plus you're getting a lot more then what Nintendo's offering. That's not being spoiled, that people wanting their money's worth
@Heavyarms55 It's 50 dollars for basically nothing. That's the problem. NES, SNES, N64, and Genesis stuff is cool to have (even though they're still missing a ton of big games on the platforms), but that doesn't mean anything when the online they offer is still dogs***. It still lacks a ton of features and and they think they can still get away with charging almost as much as Sony and Microsoft. Though they probably will with people like you defending this practice
@PickledKong They could just port the PS2 Final Mix versions then? Increasing the resolution and replacing the midis for the ReMixed versions isn't hard as people have done that with the PS2 versions on emulators. Also they ran at 30fps, just like the PS3 collections. While I vastly prefer 60fps, I'll take 30 if the rest of the game isn't compromised.
I actually think the 64 controller is worth the price considering the fact that it has extra buttons. Looks like you could use it for any switch game. The Genesis controller is a rip off. At most, I'd grab it for 20 bucks
@SwitchForce Disney owns the IP, but Square has the final say in terms of how to port the game. Disney probably told them "Put the game on switch, we don't care how" and this is what they did. Considering that Square f***ed switch users over with Final Fantasy XV, I wouldn't put this pass them
@SwitchForce Nah I think this is a Square thing. Disney were the ones who commissioned the ports to other platforms even though Square was fine with things just being how they were
So uhhh... Why not just put them on the bigger Switch carts? Or let people download the games they want separately? Remember, the reason why these games are so big is because of the bloated movie files they have.
Overpriced. An extra $30 dollars gets you two new emulators and "free" DLC. Why not just have plan that includes the DLC and the new games, and a plan that just gives you the new games? Also, NSO is still lacking a ton of features compared to the competition.
@CactusMan Why would I want to have 5 eventual Gyarados? Literary just give us the option to turn it on or off. Giving players more options is never a bad thing
I'm excited for this. There are so many Sega Saturn games that got forgotten about. Now that we have a working emulator that seems to run quite a bit of commercial games, sky's the limit! Hopefully Panzer Dragoon Saga or the Saturn port of Symphony of the Night gets a re release
@CactusMan At least in those games, it's an option and it's not forced on you. Also unlike Pokemon, Donkey Kong Country Returns and Mario 3D World are excellent games
@BloodNinja They used that same EXP Share system. An item you equip to one pokemon to give them experience. It didn't start sharing EXP to your entire party until Gen 6 I believe and of course, starting from Gen 8, you couldn't turn it off
@BloodNinja EXP Share was an item that you could give to one of your pokemon back in the day. It didn't share it among your entire team. These games aren't balanced around this, so the games just become even more easy then they already are
Cloud Version? I'll stick with the ports on the other systems, thanks. How ***** lazy is Square Enix that they can't port a few PS2 games and a game on UE4. Just a few years ago they remade all of DQ 11, just for Switch.
@TSR3 Because they’re fun games despite how easy they usually are. Plus the bonus content usually provides enough challenge for someone who usually craves it.
Oh hell yeah! I was so excited that I finally ended up making an account here! I was craving a new game in the series. As much as I liked Star Allies, I was kinda getting tired of running through Guess Star mode lol.

@Anti-Matter To you maybe. To me it looks cheap.

Re: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Get A Five-Minute Overview Trailer
This game still looks horrid. Can't believe it's $60
Re: Poll: N64 And Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online Games Launch Today - Which Will You Play First?
None. I'm not paying for something that's not worth it
Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 13.1.0 Is Now Live - Adds The Switch Online Expansion Pack
Here's to hoping this doesn't do well and Nintendo rethinks their online service. $50 for what's being offered is still ludicrous
Re: Infernax Looks Like A Tasty And Expanded Take On The 8-Bit Castlevania Formula
Oooohh. A game based on the classic Castlevania games? Great! Every indie that comes is always inspired by SOTN. I'll keep my eye on this
Re: Monster Hunter Stories 2 Update Adds New Monsters And Quests - Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@anoyonmus They probably don't see it as important considering that it's a turn based RPG.
Re: Monster Hunter Stories 2 Update Adds New Monsters And Quests - Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Hell yeah, more content. I do hope we get a big expansion like the mainline titles get
Re: Shin Megami Tensei V Gets Day One Paid DLC And Digital Deluxe Edition

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 13.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
So no buffs to my characters and input delay still has yet to be addressed. Damn. Hope you guys have fun with this one. I dropped Smash for good
Re: Random: Uh-Oh, Nintendo's Switch Online 'Expansion Pack - Overview Trailer' Is Generating A Lot Of Dislikes
@Hero-of-WiiU Well they're complaining because what's being offered isn't worth $50. It's not a matter of cost, but rather if it's worth my money
Re: Random: Uh-Oh, Nintendo's Switch Online 'Expansion Pack - Overview Trailer' Is Generating A Lot Of Dislikes
@ArchRex Apparently he said something to me? What was it

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Price?
@Heavyarms55 it seems like it if you think what Nintendo’s offering is worth $50 a year

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Price?
They need to either lower the price or add more features to get me to care about the expansion pack. Nintendo's being ridiculous for that asking price

Re: Hackers Have Cracked Open A Sega Saturn Emulator Inside A Commercial Switch Release
@BloodNinja Yep. She's much more fun compared to her PSP version. Also new areas and items to get are always nice

Re: Exp. Share Supposedly Can't Be Turned Off In The Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes
@twicesmt Pokemon Black and White 2 had difficulty options, which people have been begging to return
Re: Don't Worry, 3D All-Stars' Super Mario 64 Will Still Likely Be The Definitive Switch Version
That's literally what I wanted though. I prefer the original version over the Shindou version. 3D All Stars is such a waste of money
Re: Exp. Share Can't Be Turned Off In The Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes
@BloodNinja Yeah it is! An artist I knew drew it. https://twitter.com/ibara_380/status/1397186031645073408
It's a reference to Monster Hunter Rise
Re: Exp. Share Can't Be Turned Off In The Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes
@BloodNinja No problem!
Re: Exp. Share Can't Be Turned Off In The Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes
@CharlieGirl So what's wrong with just giving us the option to turn it off? More options in video games is never a bad thing

That's extremely disappointing. Guess that's another skipped Pokemon game

Re: Dragon Quest X Offline Has Been Confirmed For Switch, Launches In Japan Next February
To everyone saying that it look rather mediocre visual wise, remember that this was first a Wii and 3DS game that got ported to a lot of other systems
