Fitness boxing developer Imagineer has revealed its new Switch game Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star during the latest Direct broadcast.
Yes, it's crossing over with the popular manga and anime series Fist of the North Star. You'll have characters like Kenshiro as your instructor, and after you've warmed up you'll be required to take down enemies and rivals in boss battles.
Here's the full description from Nintendo.com, and a look at the gameplay in action below this:
"For resolving lack of daily exercise and strengthening your physical strength! You can enjoy authentic exercise in the world of "Fist of the North Star" without changing the functions of "Fitness Boxing"! Familiar characters such as Kenshiro become your instructors! In addition, a new battle mode against rivals has been introduced, allowing you to enjoy the exercise with enhanced action gameplay. Punch your way through the many enemies that stand in your way, and aim for victory in the boss battle!"
You can look forward to getting your hands on this unique fitness experience in March 2023.

Best Crossover and Fitness Game ever!
Fist of the North Star is one of my favorite series. I didn’t ask for this but I’m getting this for sure. I still haven’t picked up Fitness Boxing 2 though.
I hope the enemies you defeat explode just like in the manga. That would be great.
i love how wacky this is but i was so badly hoping to see lost paradise here when i saw kenshiro, one because its fist of the north star but it'd also show that RGG studio are down with putting their games on switch, maybe one day
I would've picked this up if it also had a farming sim.
A good workout game for those who miss the old Wii days of casual gaming.
Wonder what the age rating will be?
“You are already dancing” “Nani?”
“You are already jacked”
“NANI—“ 🤯
I can only imagine this being the only fitness game rated M for Mature
"Why are you yelling ta-ta-ta-ta-ta while doing that? The game can't hear you!"
"You are already fit!"
I wonder if there's a secret channelling point to reach full fitness with one touch.
How is no one calling it Fitness of the North Star?
@VinylCreep Brand dilution.
As long as opponents explode in a mass of blood and gore I’d be happy.
We need a SOR4 edition!
god I hope whoever came up with this got fired
It took me about 5 whole minutes to recover from this announcement, I was basically in a stunned silence.
That being said, for as ridiculous as this is.....it looks really good. Not interested in either party involved here (though I do need to get around to reading FotNS at some point) but I can genuinely see this one topping sales charts purely from people wanting to play it ironically. Perhaps the funniest announcement we've gotten in a Direct in quite some time (probably only beaten out by Sans in Smash).
I want a Yakuza version now. Can you imagine Majima as a fitness instructor? I’m cackling just thinking about it.
God I remember playing the arcade game back in the day down the local bowling alley:

Played it so much my knuckles were bleeding
@Bunkerneath Haha! I remember that cab - so much fun, but such hard work!
A crossover noone wanted*
Fixed the tagline for ya.
not sure about this, but sadly im reallly excited lol
I know nothing about Fist of the North Star so I don't intend to buy this but it's one of my favourite announcements from the Direct just for the absurdity of it
This was one of my favorite announcements because it was so unexpected and random. I'm curious what the size of the target audience is. AFAIK Fitness Boxing isn't a bad game either. I tried the demo of the first game when it came out.
A crossover no one wants.
Man Fitness boxing that will not be ashame to play near my wife.
"Omae wa mou shindeiru."
Fitness boxing games are a scam, you better join a club - go for Muay Thai, BJJ or MMA.
LOL WHAT????
Okay, I'm genuinely tempted to buy this. It would be good for laughs alone. YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD!!
@Ryu_Niiyama they implement the Majima everywhere system into the game by having him interrupt your current instructor to fight them whilst you copy their movements
The True title is 「FIT Boxing 北斗の拳 お前はもう痩せている」
(Un)fortunately this was not translated for the EU/NA version as nobody would understand the pun anyway. lol.
Wow. I was intrigued by the title, but then I watched the video and, when did they start porting WiiWare shovelware to the Switch? This is $4.99 dlc at most, not a game. Sad.
I love that they aren't afraid of coming up with crazy crossovers like this
I already play Fitness Boxing and was intending to get Fitness Boxing 2, but with this I'll just wait. It's not that I'm a Fist of the North Star die hard fan, it's just one of those "Eh, why not?" moments. It freakin' Kenshiro!
Lol, I have to get this game. The original Fitness Boxing is still on my wishlist I think. I think I'll just wait for this one instead.
I guess we all need to practice being able to punch dudes' heads into thousands of pieces.
@Bunkerneath My friend has one of these, it's pretty rubbish to be honest.
This is actually decent.
@YANDMAN Yup, but this was the late 90s, and it was something different.
This looked extra cheesy to me. No thank you.
I love the 80s movie. The violence and gore is so over the top it becomes absolutely hilarious.
"These belong to you?"
Tosses guy his arms he just removed without guy noticing.
@VinylCreep . . . Well, I am, now that you said it
PS5 gets Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, and we get... that? ok i'm out...
I am probably more excited about this game than I am everything else in the direct (other than Zelda). I play Fitness Boxing 2 for 40 minutes 5 times a week. It will be great to have there be more of a fighting gameplay mode to mess around with.
Is this that one anime where the main character guy says "You're already dead" and then the bad guy just... explodes
@Bunkerneath Did you yell "Yatatatatatatatata!" while playing!?
@Bunkerneath whoah! This reminds me of the shenmue mini game! Does this thing really exist in the west? This would be a great stress reliever 💖💖😁
@OldManHermit I have every episode on physical blu ray including the additional episodes that were not translated into English dub too, it's a great series and it's really good when Devs release gaming content in the west for us fans!
@FuriousGeorge slightly agree but some people don't have time to go a gym or other activities due to work, there are other options to get fit out there! And I'm open for it I need to work out myself lol
@pgerhard
The horribly underpowered tablet would not be able to handle it. deal with it.
@pilonium64 It's a Yakuza game. Those ran on the Wii U at 60fps. None of the Yakuza games are that intensive outside of the Judgement games
Anyways, I'm super excited for this. I love Hokuto no Ken and a boxing rhythm game sounds super fun. I'll gladly pick this up
@Bunkerneath If they made an Arcade1Up of this it would be a day 1 kop for me. Absolutely loved bloodying knuckles playing this. And why would your knuckles bleed? Cuz you wasn't gonna put on the grimey stinky ass gloves that everyone else used to play it with lmao
@YANDMAN Don't ever talk ***** about this game!
The FotNS crossover no one wanted.-_-'
Good for those who will still enjoy this though I suppose.
@Sora181
>It's a Yakuza game. Those ran on the Wii U at 60fps
They better do.lol. The Wii U versions were Yakuza 1 and Yakuza 2, upscaled version from the PS2 with almost 0 graphic improvement.
Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1, 3, 4, 5 Remaster could maybe
run on the swich @ 30 fps as they just are upscaled PS3 games.
>None of the Yakuza games are that intensive outside of the Judgement games.
And Kiwami 2 ? Yakuza 6 ? 7...?
You don't know what you are talking about or you should stop smoking nintendium.
@0ohHeWrong Ssshhhhhh.
@Nintendo4Sonic Speak for yourself.
