Bandai Namco has finally uploaded an official version of the new Digimon Survive trailer to YouTube.

In case you missed it, this is the latest look at the survival strategy RPG that's been repeatedly delayed over the past few years.

The latest setbacks are tied to the fact there's currently a new development team working on the game. The good news is that a release is apparently getting closer now and fans will only have to wait "a little longer".

Here's exactly what producer Kazumasa Habu had to say in the most recent development update (via Gematsu):

“In response to our call for inquiries, we’ve received a number of questions regarding the development status of Digimon Survive. We’re very sorry for keeping you waiting even though you’re looking forward to it. We apologize again for not providing any new information and / or keeping you waiting. We sincerely apologize for the delay.

“As we’ve already informed you, once we postponed the release due to a change in the development team, and that we are now developing the game with a new development team. Changing teams has led to a lot of rework on the game, leading to delays. This has caused a lot of uncertainty that prevented us from giving regular updates. However, thanks to the efforts of the new development team, we are now able to be back on track, getting closer and closer to the completion of the game.

“As for the release date information, it is expected to take a little longer as we’re still adjusting it internally. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the delay. But we would appreciate it if you could wait just a little longer.”

Fingers crossed we perhaps finally see this one in 2022. What are your own thoughts of the above trailer though? How about the ongoing delays? Tell us in the comments below Digimon fans.
