Re: Poll: The GameCube is 15 Years Old - Pick Your Favourite Games

SlayerG

I know it's been said many times in these comments, but I don't see how Baten Kaitos was left off the list, it's easily better than half of the games on that list. Also, I'm sure I'll get some hate for saying this, but I don't understand peoples' love of Windwaker, it was so slow and boring to me. It wouldn't even make my top 20 list of Gamecube games. My top 5 from the list are (in no particular order):

Resident Evil 4
Eternal Darkness
Fire Emblem
Rogue Squadron 2
Tales of Symphonia

Re: Activision Blizzard Has Just Opened a TV and Film Studio

@Tempestryke again, your statements make no sense. You said: "its CGI. Ergo it's Pixar." I named 3 Disney made CGI movies, which weren't made by Pixar, that were all excellent Disney animations to disprove your point. I only added the movies from DreamWorks and Fox to further illustrate that CGI isn't exclusive to Pixar as you say. I was giving further examples to demonstrate why it's ridiculous to make blanket statements as you did.

Re: Activision Blizzard Has Just Opened a TV and Film Studio

@Tempestryke Your statements are ridiculous. Just because it's CGI doesn't mean it's Pixar. The 3 movies I named are done by Walt Disney. Dreamworks has made a ton of CGI movies (most famously the Shrek trilogy), Fox has made a bunch as well (See the Ice Age series). Aside from that, what does it matter if Disney makes hand drawn movies or CGI movies. As long as they are animated and good, that is all that matters.

@GLA technically that poll is multiple choice, as you have multiple choices and can select one. What you mean is that the poll should be multi-select where you can select multiple options (and I agree, it should)

@TeeJay I picked up lucario at toys r us today. They had just gotten a restock before I got there. They had about 20-25 lucario and the same for greninja. I got one of each of those, plus I snagged one of the 4 lil mac's that they had. They had about a dozen captain falcons too, but I already have him. I'd suggest checking with your local toys r us this week if you have one close by.

Re: Nintendo Marketing Boss Says amiibo Expectations "Have Been Smashed", and Aims to Improve Stock Supplies

SlayerG

I pre-ordered my Ike amiibo from Gamestop back on December 29th and still have yet to receive it. The best they can tell me is "sometime in May". It's not like my not having an Ike amiibo is negatively impacting my life, but it's pretty pathetic that an amiibo pre-ordered, and promised for February, isn't arriving until maybe May. Pathetic on both Gamestop and Nintendo' s part.

I pre-ordered Ike from Gamestop on December 29th and haven't gotten it yet. They originally told me February 1, that came and went. Their website said expected in on February 13, which also came and went. I called them yesterday (the 17th) and they said they are expecting Ike on the 21st, and that they have a shipment coming in Friday the 20th that MIGHT have Ike in it. I guess I'll find out soon.

Re: Ubisoft's Updated Line-Up Still Includes Watch_Dogs as an Upcoming Release on Wii U

SlayerG

@aaronsullivan I agree with everything you said. The problem though is that Microsoft has a licensing agreement that forbids publishers from releasing a game on their console if it has previously been released on other consoles. This means that if it had come out on Wii U as planned Ubisoft could have released it on PS3 in September, but not the 360. They wanted the extra sales opportunities on the 360, so we all had to wait. If anything, blame Microsoft for their stupid policy.

Re: Feature: Breaking Down What Nintendo's QOL Platform Could Mean

SlayerG

I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo is looking at ways to move something like Wii Fit out in the real world even more than the Wii Fit sensor does. When I read this article I thought of Nintendo partnering with companies like Nordic Track to build a workout machine that allows interactive gaming to happen while you are working out. They could make games that help motivate and entertain you while you workout on a fitness machine. You could have your phone hooked up to the machine via BlueTooth, and post workout this machine would then send all the stats for your workout session to a Nintendo produced app for smart phones.

If the machines took off they could partner with large corporate Gym's to get these machines into their workout gym's. You could then sync your phone with these machines so they know your history, your info, preferences etc. This way no matter where you workout you will keep all your info with you, whether you are working out at home, or whatever gym you are at (so long as they have these workout machines).

Additionally, the phone app could also keep track of your distance walked, elevation change, speed and time of the walk/run, etc so that you could get that added to your stats. Just a thought.
