Amazing games. If you haven't played these yet, grab this in October!!
Very good news.
Its only 3 years late.
Any support for the system at the moment is appreciated, I'm not too interested myself but I'm sure plenty of people will be. The demo on PS3 years ago put me off bothering unfortunately.
I haven't gotten around to buying Season 1 on Vita yet but if this is confirmed for Wii U, I'll definitely pick up this double pack.
How much are the episodes apiece on other platforms?
@TheWPCTraveler $5 dollars
@Faruko For physical copies?
@TheWPCTraveler - depends on the platform, prob £10-£15 a piece
Niiiiice, big fan of The Walking Dead, never played any of the games but if this is good on Wii U I'll definitely pick it up
Awesome! But I wouldn't pay anymore than €20 for a physical copy on the WiiU, it's been put for years and on every system.
Never played them so I can wait a few more months after October for this I think.
Cool, played episode one on my phone and it was great. I thought the whole time how well it would work on Wii u!! Let's hope it isnt too expensive though, it's a bit old by now and the walking dead brand isn't what it Was......
I recently tried the Game of Thrones Telltale thing. I refuse to call them games because they're more video novels with choices (sort of). When I bought it I assumed it was akin to Broken Sword or Monkey Island.
The TV series is total crap, but the game from Telltale..., I'm somewhat interested in.
@TheWPCTraveler I've seen them for $15-$20 a piece for new physical copies
These games tell a much better story that the Walking Dead show itself. If you don't own these yet, this price isn't bad, though arguably you could probably get it cheaper on a PC, but that's your call.
It's important to note that, more than anything, these are interactive stories. The gaming part of it is pretty minimal, but still, the stories are gripping. They will place you in horrible situations where both solutions are wrong. Love it.
@TheWPCTraveler @Malanta Each episide was $5 on PSN (although im not sure thatspossible anymore), on steam you could only buy the entire season for $25, but it goes on disscount pretty often, 1st season complete tipically at $5 dollars and 2nd season for $7.5
@MussakkuLaden
"TV series is total crap"
A lot of people would strongly disagree. Including myself
@MussakkuLaden
Haha agreed. The show is awful. Take a chance on these though, their stories are so much better than anything the TV show could come up with.
I think this could be the Tantulus port?
The first season in particular is a great game.
I loved the first season but never got into the second season as much because I don't have my PS3 on near as much anymore. I would get this if it actually comes out but I would much rather the eshop for this kind of game.
Oof thinkin of the lil kids that post on Miiverse how they're gonna be so traumatized by so much ... chop chop & remember the saw saw???? Or the BLAM! the farm. Is this intense hardcore gore gonna be well with Nintendo users?
But aside from that, best story-telling in gaming since like forever (except like The Last of Us) in my opinion.
^_^
@JaxonH I'd have to agree with @MussakkuLaden on this one. I gave the show a fair shake, but I tried it for the zombie apocalypse stuff not to watch crazy people fight. It seems they are just putting dramatic event after dramatic event, loosely based on the zombie theme (which feels more like a subplot), to drum up views before the masses realize they ran out of good ideas. A Zombieland like comedic drama show seems like it would have been better, imo.
Woo! A game that's actually being ported to Wii U AFTER being out on all the other platforms! Haven't heard of one of those in a long time. Good thing I didn't get this on PC, I'll have to check this out!
Awesome but i already played both on PS3. If the game fixes the studdering framerate and promises S3 then i'll be fine switching. People shouldn't be put off by Telltales games you are suppose to feel for the story not the gameplay. This and The Wolf Among Us had some of the best storytelling compared to recent games
Hopefully Game of Thrones follows? I played the first episode on Steam, thought it was so-so, but I'm a big enough fan of A Song of Ice and Fire that I really want to give the whole thing a playthrough at some point.
So Wii U gets a high rated zombie game while the other systems get a stripped down version of Zombi U.
I've played the early parts of the game with some friends, and it's great fun having everyone shout out what choice to make. It's amazing that we were all trying to do the right thing, but everyone was making different decisions.
I'll get this game eventually, though I don't know whether to get the Wii U version, or PC. It's unlikely to run on my old laptop, but I'll likely get a new computer anyway since my laptop is dying.
Finally! It's on dang near everything else. Season 1 was amazing. Season 2 I own but haven't touched yet. It's such an emotionally harrowing journey. I've replayed Season 1 multiple times, and it still kills me every time, knowing some decisions have no good outcome. I'm thrilled Nintendo-only folks will get a crack at it. Again, I think Season 1 was my Game of 2012, to be honest, and if you're looking for a strong story-focus that comes through decision-making and some incredibly light and simple puzzle elements, this game will be a huge hit with you as well. Some may criticize it as more-or-less a graphic novel, or nothing but QTEs, but I can excuse all that if the story that comes with it is powerful and compelling, and in this case, it 100% was in my opinion.
By then the Wii u itself is The walking dead! Lol, I couldn't resist it!
Excited to play this. Always wanted to, but my laptop has a foot in the grave and I don't own consoles from other companies.
I own them both for the 360. I played through the first season but lost interest after that. It was good, but it's something about the "point & click" type adventure game genre that I get bored with. I think my love of the TV show carried me as far as I got in the game.

"A Zombieland like comedic drama show seems like it would have been better, imo."
They actually tried that via Amazon:
http://screenrant.com/zombieland-tv-show-series-canceled-amazons/
It never had a chance from the get-go, as they made an incredibly stupid decision to use the same characters, but with different actors/actresses. Having not worked in the TV industry, even I know better. If it would have been in the same "world", yet focused on new characters, then we can talk, but this was just a flat out, stupid waste of time.
::spoilers to TWD show below::
As for TWD, I am in agreement with the rest of you who don't like it. The popularity simply baffles me. It just isn't very good, and had cliches everywhere in the beginning. I had a bad feeling when I watched episode 2, when I saw the men hunting and the women doing laundry in the lake... Ugh... Really?
Then season two had Andrea, who was a complete badass sharpshooter in the comics, as a bumbling idiot who can't handle a gun. She can't have a gun, cause, you know, women. Then they finally give her one and she shoots Darryl in the face... Second ugh....
Lorrie driving the car to find Rick was yet another cliche on women. Pregnant Lorrie got into a car by herself to find Rick (for reasons I still don't understand), and crashed it in 30 seconds. Third ugh...
After season 3 they lost me. The Governor is a badass story arch. We were promised the full arch, but by the time they got to the end of the season, they changed their mind. There's a reason why Glen Mezzara left, and it was because AMC decided to not keep their promise and pushed back the arch into season 4. The worst of it is the last episode, which was edited to hell and had a weird extra 5-6 minutes of run-time. They had the real thing filmed, but changed their mind at the last second. Bait and switch. I know this because AMC was in a real hurry to get David Morrissey back as the Governor for season 4 after the last episode aired. That was my last ugh with this show.
I haven't been back since, and I don't care to come back either. Too many ughs... I'm sticking with the Telltale games from here on out.

If this is true I'll definitely go for it!
I noticed this listing too. I also heard it was coming to the Ouya as well, so if they can port it to that dead horse, they can certainly port it to our....erm, doing okay-ish system?
@sinalefa It what they deserve :/
I've played through these games twice now. Once on the PS3 and again on the PS4.
I've been nagging at Telltale to bring TWD to the Wii U for awhile, and if this report holds true in the US: I'll be buying these games a third time. I wonder if they'll use the gamepad well enough? The only thing I didn't like about the games on the PS3 & 4 was how slowly the cursor moved. Made me miss my timing on certain events. The touchscreen/face button combinations should be a big help in getting an ideal playthrough.
lol, $32 for a three year old game? Well I suppose its better than nothing.
Ill get this just to show my support for third party and i like the series but i hope this isn't tantulus port
Wow finally i guess, great for the people for some reason hasn't played this. Now release the Wolf Among us on this console and you're all set Wiiu owners.
@Peach64 im hoping not just because tantalus said it's not a mature or hardcore game and walking dead is mature so hoping that we also get another game from tantalus
Great games, get them then if you haven't yet
Played them both on my PC. The Wolf Among Us is also and awesome game! Wii U shoukd get that too. Played them all on my Vita.
@MarioPhD Played season 2 a few weeks ago over 1 weekend with my brother. It's as good as the First Season!
@thatguyEZ The second Season will only have finished a year ago when this comes out.
I really like the tv show but the writing and story of these games is just far more powerful.
Whilst I don't think I would repurchas these I hope and pray this means that future TellTale Games will be released on Nintendo Platforms as well.
Who cares. The rest of the world has already played these games on one of the dozen or so consoles that they've been available on for years now.
I got both cheap during Steam sales, they are great games, the next evolution of point and click adventure games.
I would be very tempted to buy again on Wii U.
@MarioPhD I was wary of S2 and didn't play it for a week or so after the recent steam sale. I liked it more than S1.
about time
...Alright! I never watched the show (which is weird, because I like zombies. Then again, judging by some comments, the game is actually better than the show.), but I've heard that this is supposed to be great. I'll definitely get this if it's the rumor's true...and I should probably also check out the Wolf Among Us (I've heard it's supposed to be great, and when I saw it in a Game Informer magazine that they have in my school's library, I thought it looked interesting.)
If you still haven't played these, I strongly recommend. I don't know which ones are better, the comics or Telltale games, but they're both very good.
Please please please let this be true! I played the first episode a few years ago but lost contact with the friend whom I played it with. Was an amazing game as far as I played. Since then I haven't had access to a system its available on, so I would buy this day one!
This would be pretty cool on Wii U, especially considering the gamepad was begging to be used as an adventure game interface/inventory screen. If it weren't for the fact that I already own both games, 400 days, and am eagerly awaiting the mini-series Michonne on Steam, I'd be on this very quickly, especially for the price.
Then again, if Mass Effect Trilogy had been a Wii U release, I'd have bought them a fourth time so never say never.
Any Nintendo fans who haven't already got this NEED to pick it up. One of the very best story-driven games of our time.
Sorry to break it to you guys but I think this game is not coming to Wii U YET.
Today is October 30th and when I went to go check the web link to see the Walking Dead bundle, instead I saw that the page has been taken down and replaced with a error 500 message. I think this could be a sign that Telltale games The Walking Dead may have been delayed for Wii U or cancelled.
@Squidkid49 I just looked into this today as well and found the same thing. I'm guessing it never actually was coming and that the GAME posting was and errant page. Oh well...
