@MeloMan Yeah, the Capcom test isn't really judging if new games get made anymore, meaning the fate of franchises like Darkstalkers, Okami & Viewtiful Joe returning is a matter of three things: time, patience, and if the higher-ups at Capcom will allow it.

@anoyonmus To answer your question about the order you have to play the Famicom Detective Club series, it’s The Girl Who Stands Behind first (as that is the prequel), THEN Missing Heir, then Emio (when it comes out).

@Samalik Hey, like I said, I have wanted to try the Japanese versions of Sonic games. Heck, I own a Japanese Kirby & The Amazing Mirror cartridge.

But most people who defend the Japanese dub are kind of comparable to people who love the original Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, y’know? They’re practically rabid. I know my reasoning for staying away from the subbed Sonic games isn’t the best, but it’s a whole lot better than saying “I don’t want to learn Japanese.” Looking at you, “when’s EarthBound 3” people.

@Samalik Look, I kinda have a history of getting into dub vs. sub arguments on the internet. Whenever I have the belief that the dub is better (like in this case), some people try to resort to toxic behavior to convince me otherwise, which kinda gives me a bad impression of them.

I’m sorry if I reacted the way I did, and I want to clarify I don’t dislike Japanese dubs — I’ve seen a couple Japan exclusive Transformers shows. But the pure negativity I’ve seen behind some of the sub over dub arguments really makes me not want to try the Japanese version. That was especially the case for me with the Yu-Gi-Oh anime, and the only reason I watched the Japanese version of GX was for Season 4.

@MSaturn I mean, at least Metroid Prime 4: Beyond had justification for its 7 (coming on 8) year development cycle. COVID-19 hit at the worst time, their team was pretty small after the pandemic so they had to start hiring people…

The fact that Retro Studios plowed through anyway despite the dumpster fire of a development cycle is just incredible.

That being said, this is quite possibly the best Direct I’ve ever seen. Dare I say, not even the E3 2018 direct could top this. Mahvel’s back, Mario & Luigi is back, Metroid Prime 4 isn’t dead, almost everyone got what they wanted… it was an all around beautiful Direct. A perfect 10.

I actually lost my mind when I saw this in the direct, because I theorized Capcom doing this before... AND THEY DID IT.

Alongside Mario & Luigi: Brothership, this was by far my favorite announcement of the direct. Hell, this collection was even approved by TCNick3 of YouTube fame! And he's never even played a single Marvel vs. Capcom game before!

@BoyfriendOfDeath The game isn’t really that glitchy. In fact, it’s one of the least glitchy games in the series, up there with Sonic CD & Knuckles’ Chaotix.

As for what I want remade… Storybook Duology.

I mean, Nintendo hasn't decided to go and remake Link to the Past yet (considering what happened when people did this with Link's Awakening and Metroid 2). Seems like a good idea.

I call shenanigans on Miyamoto's reasoning, mainly because of what Takahashi said, but also because there's also Jessie, James and Meowth from the Pokémon anime, as well as Princess Devilotte and her crewmates from Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness - who, by the way actually got along well with the Doronjo Gang in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. All I see is Miyamoto just wasting a perfect opportunity.
