Well, I mean, that’s good and all, - especially since SEGA’S FINALLY STARTING TO LEARN FROM ‘06, WHICH WAS THEIR LAST 3D OPEN WORLD SONIC GAME BEFORE FRONTIERS (sure, you can count the Chao Garden in Adventure 2, but that doesn’t count for me since it’s more of a mini game) - but I feel like it’s kinda too EARLY for an announcement like this. If Izuka said this AFTER Frontiers came out god-knows-when during this year, maybe I’d be more on board. But just like some people’s reactions to Luke in Street Fighter V, I’m not on board with the announcement JUST YET.
Anyways, as someone who’s seen Kaggy’s voice work in action before, I can definitely say SEGA might try and make this official in the future. It’s all up to fate…
And hopefully, Kaggy can bring back the Shadow we all know and love (the 3-dimensional character from Adventure 2 to Black Knight, and NOT the Vegeta clone from Free Riders to now).
@Ryu_Niiyama Shadow is not an edge lord - he’s a 3 dimensional anti-hero with a tragic past.
You may argue that he was an edge lord since the beginning, but that was the cause of his memories being altered: he wasn’t doing it for some stupid reason (i.e. Free Riders).
@RubyCarbuncle (doing my best Jesse Anderson impression) They’re probably trying to wait until the finished product comes around, like they did for Origins. Be patient, Ruby.
Jesus, even with the free updates being announced, Nintendo & Next Level Games apparently worked harder to get this game finished in time for release compared to EVERY OTHER MARIO SPORTS TITLE ON THE SWITCH. I guess this’ll be the Smash Ultimate of the Mario Sports games - both a finished game & free updates.
Still looks a lot like Super Mario Strikers on the GameCube, but the gameplay is a lot like Charged. Hopefully this’ll be a buy from me if Nintendo doesn’t eff it up.
@westman98 I mentioned Mario Tennis EAces & Nintendo Switch sports as examples of mediocre games. Maybe you'd better learn to read my original post again before you start dropping stuff like that.
@westman98 Oh, I can name MANY games… well, if I had the time. But to name a few, there’s Mario Tennis EAces, the Wii U game ports, and Nintendo Switch Sports (seriously, WHY is NSO the ENTIRE GAME?!).
"Unlike the past, we continue to have a large variety of games scheduled to be released" A good chunk of that “large variety”: (either ports of previously existing games or new games that end up being mediocre)
Yugi: "Nintendo, what’s going on?" Nintendo: "Even though the Octo-Expansion pack costs 20 bucks on the eShop, we’re going to make it more expensive by putting it on our crappy online service that has an expansion pack that costs 50 bucks." Yugi: "OK, so, you’re a lost cause."
Also, if I’m being honest, the patches don't change the fact that the game is bad. It forces you into TV mode for Switch Lite, there's a SEASON PASS APPARENTLY, we have to wait a YEAR for golf, there's half that many sports than Wii Sports Resort, and need I mention that the only good sports in this game are bowling (of course), badminton, and chakram?
God, even Wii Sports Club was better than this, and that was a remake of the original game but with online capabilities that were ACTUALLY GOOD.
@dojmin My guess is that he’s probably going to have Retro Studios consider it and not Nintendo, because you know how the latter has been since 2018… ABSOLUTE CRAP.
Hey, at least SEGA recognized the people who wanted physical copies of Origins and are actually CONSIDERING IT. Unlike another company we all know and hate… glares at Nintendo with pure hatred
Really? A patent for characters wearing CLOTHING? How long has it been since Nintendo first went 3D? Because clothing on characters have had collision detection WAY before 2022. This isn’t some groundbreaking discovery.
OK, so if a Monster Hunter game sells well literally anywhere, the series will continue, but if a Darkstalkers game sells better in the US than it does in Japan, it just dies off?
I love Capcom as a company & a game developer, I really do, but their logic just confuses me sometimes.
"We are aware of the claim, which was filed with the National Labor Relations Board by a contractor who was previously terminated for the disclosure of confidential information and for no other reason. Nintendo is not aware of any attempts to unionize or related activity and intends to cooperate with the investigation conducted by the NLRB. Nintendo is fully committed to providing a welcoming and supportive work environment for all our employees and contractors. We take matters of employment very seriously."
Also Nintendo: literally has been doing the exact opposite of what was said here since 2018
At this point I even question why their fanboys still blindly defend them despite their horrible corporate practices. Even Nintendo of GERMANY understands where I’m coming from.
And THIS, people, is why we don’t overspeculate. I’ll just keep my hopes low and keep betting on my boy from the Mega Man Zero series (hint - his name is in the title).

Re: Random: Pokémon Voice Actor Shares His Take On Shadow The Hedgehog
@YoshiF2 Except Vegeta never got a win or witnessed death close-up like Shadow had.
😏

Re: Random: Pokémon Voice Actor Shares His Take On Shadow The Hedgehog
@YoshiF2 Well that’s because Shadow isn’t Vegeta.
Re: Another Popular YouTube Channel Pulls Nintendo Music After 500+ Copyright Claims
@KingBowser Agreed. At this point, they are just LETTING themselves go bankrupt from everything they aren’t doing.

Re: Shadow The Hedgehog Joins The Cast Of Netflix's Sonic Prime
@Fizza Not funny joke about Shadow’s character from Free Riders onward isn’t funny.
Re: Another Popular YouTube Channel Pulls Nintendo Music After 500+ Copyright Claims
@Mauzuri You are indeed correct!
Re: Another Popular YouTube Channel Pulls Nintendo Music After 500+ Copyright Claims
@Mauzuri I opened my eyes once I saw just how bad Mario Tennis Aces actually was 4 years after it launched.
Re: Another Popular YouTube Channel Pulls Nintendo Music After 500+ Copyright Claims
Right… time for me to get the shotgun again (just kidding, don’t really have one).
Re: Mysterious SEGA Broadcast Announced, Will Unveil A New Project

Re: Mario Kart Tour Is About To Get One Of The Franchise's Best Tracks
I was expecting Wario Colosseum.
Re: Sega Plans To Leverage More Past IP With 'Remasters, Remakes, Reboots'
Let’s hope SEGA takes a better approach to this than Nintendo.
Then again, with SEGA, anything can be possible, even the impossible.
Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion (GameCube)
@Shane_Gill Blame ScrewAttack for thinking their opinion should be the only one to exist.

Re: Peach And Bowser Settle An Old Score In Mario Kart Tour's Latest Update
I am a simple man. I see Dry Bowser & Rosalina on Team Bowser, I join Team Bowser.
Also, I believe the Peach vs. Bowser Tour is a reference to Super Princess Peach…
Re: Nintendo Switch Sports Version 1.1.0 Is Now Available, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@steventonysmith Jokes on you, I didn’t buy the game. Because NINTENDO SWITCH ONLINE IS THE ENTIRE GAME.

@vicviper001 Same here, mate.
Re: Soapbox: Please, Please, Please Release Sonic Advance Trilogy On Nintendo Switch Online
Imagine all the hype if this were to happen and then Nintendo's just like: "Nah, have this obscure game on the GBA no one gave a ***** about."
Re: Nintendo Switch Sports Version 1.1.0 Is Now Available, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Not every game has to be Splatoon.
Also, if I’m being honest, the patches don't change the fact that the game is bad. Re: Fans Have Created Their Own Metroid 64, And It Looks Incredible
@Scrubicius Trust me, I know what I saw.
Re: It's Official, Knuckles Is Now A VTuber
Considering how I ran into a VTuber in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links once (who apparently was a big Tyranno Hassleberry fan), this doesn’t surprise me.
Re: Fans Have Created Their Own Metroid 64, And It Looks Incredible
@Scrubicius Also, your profile picture is just a girl’s butt vandalized. How low did you stoop to think that would be an appropriate profile picture?

@Scrubicius And this is why your comment has no upvotes.

Not bad, Mr. Luto! Ship it to Retro Studios once you have the whole thing finished!
