After several games, the Zelda formula was getting too familiar (for some). So the BotW moment was needed. There’s only been 3 Prime games so I’m happy with more of the same for now. I’m sure they’ll add new things and surprise us with new mechanics etc when it’s released.
I still think this is a couple of years out. These days games this ambitious take around 7 or 8 years. Yes its been 7 years, but development was reset a couple of years in so knock a couple of years off, then it was the pandemic which would have set it back by at least a year so my guess is they're about 4 years in. I'm guessing you'll be able to scan almost anything in the game - that takes time to develop. I think we'll get drip fed Prime 2 & 3 remasters and maybe a Samus Returns port first. Having said all that, I'm ALWAYS wrong with my predictions so it'll probably get announced next week lol
Happy to hear this as I was disappointed with the demo. I could live with the frame rate, but the input lag was the killer for me. If they fix that I'll definitely be checking this out now.
This game has turned out to be an absolute banger for me. Could be one of my favourite metroidvania’s ever. It’s up there with Hollow Knight and Metroid Dread. It’s really that good.
@JaxonH I didn't realise there would be a demo! Yay. And I agree re Metroid Dread - my favourite game on Switch. This looks like it's cut from the same cloth so I'll definitely be checking this out.
As the Switch winds down and I reflect on its impact I can say it’s been one of the best consoles ever for me. Nintendo struck gold with the design and delivered some of the best games I’ve ever played. When I look back I think my top 3 will be: 1: Metroid Dread 2. TotK 3: Mario Odyssey. Just my personal take from an absolute banging library of Switch games.
Going from screen to screen wondering what would appear was part of the charm of the original. This loses part of the discovery aspect. Still looks cool though.
Microsoft are fast becoming an ugly stain on the gaming landscape. They're just a rich company that can't seem to develop or nurture anything themselves anymore. So they just want to buy developers that can. Nintendo and Sony are far more creative.
Dread might be my favourite game on Switch. The controls are snappy and it's lightning quick and super satisfying once you master it. To me, 2D Metroid has never played better. I loved what they did with Samus Returns on 3DS too so I'd love to see Nintendo working with Mercury Steam again..
Amazing Direct. Metroid Prime Remaster stole the show for me (finally!). I'm a couple hours in and it looks and plays great. TotK is looking great too. Thanks Nintendo. I'm a very happy customer

Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Who Is Sylux?
@Baker1000 yeah. I had a great time back in the day with it. It was an excellent game!
Re: No, The Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Trailer Was Not Running On 'Switch 2'
It’s all about the gameplay for me. As long as it looks slightly better, or even as good as MP Remasterd, I’ll be happy. That game is stunning.

Re: Prince Of Persia Roguelite From Dead Cells Dev Revealed, Switch Not Confirmed
Looks excellent. If it’s half as good as The Lost Crown I’ll be happy. And I’m totally fine with the new art style!
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Advance Library Later This Week
With F-Zero 99 and this, I think Nintendo is getting us ready for a new instalment for the next console...
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Perfect Sunday Morning Game?
I always found Golf Story to have perfect chill Sunday vibes.

Loved this back in the day, so can't wait! Now if someone could make a Hotel Dusk remaster next please...

Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct - All Announcements, Features, Power-Ups, Worlds
I liked the ‘New’ SMB games but Mario always felt a bit floaty to control. This looks like it controls more like SMB world. More snappy. I like it!
Re: Rumour: A Red 'Super Mario' Switch OLED May Be Launching Soon
Each to their own and all that but I still think the white OLED Model is the one to beat. Just oozes class, but this is nice too. Simple is better imo
Re: Metroid Dread Developer Has "Two Large Undisclosed Titles" In The Works
Hoping it's a Castlevania using the Dread engine. Seeing that Mirror of Fate and Samus Returns on the 3DS were fairly similar, this would make sense.
Re: Metroid Dread Wasn't A "Chaotic" Project, Working With Nintendo Was "Game Changing", Says Dev
Dread might be my favourite game on Switch. The controls are snappy and it's lightning quick and super satisfying once you master it. To me, 2D Metroid has never played better. I loved what they did with Samus Returns on 3DS too so I'd love to see Nintendo working with Mercury Steam again..
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metroid Prime Remastered?
Easy 10 for me. It’s my favourite game and it’s been improved in almost every way. So happy it’s finally here.
