Re: Random: Nintendo Has Uploaded Its Switch Online Trailer (Again), And It's Still Getting Disliked

Razer

In terms of value for money, the service is decent, but it doesn't appeal to gamers at all, on face value it's something parents will get for their kids because of the value for money it offers.

But in terms of giving the fans what they want, it doesn't even come close.

It's essentially Nintendo choosing what older games they think we want and being consistently wrong about it again and again.

They uploaded this again in hopes that the gaming community will not bother mass disliking it this time.

That hasn't worked and all it's actually done is bred more contempt from Nintendo to its fans. Nintendo knows it's the gaming community that come online to dislike their video's. Nintendo's main target audience is parents and children, they do cater to adult gamers too but their main focus is kids and parents.

Kid's and parents don't try and rip Nintendo's IPs, they don't mod their Switches, they don't homebrew, they don’t make roms and emulators, they dont get DNC'd by Nintendo.

The gaming community however literally has every single one of those things, which is great. But Nintendo hates us, they wish they could get parents and kids in the same numbers they had for the Wii consistently, so they can totally abandon the gaming community.

Unfortunately the Wii U showed them that the market they feel most comfortable in catering too (casual, kids and parents), actually isn't too reliable and if gamers say the product is bad then parents and casuals wont buy it for their kids.

Nintendo has shown a ridiculous level of contempt and dislike for the gaming community, especially recently but they know they need to continue to cater to that community.

But gamers and Nintendo will ALWAYS be at odds with each other, because Nintendo HATE what they gaming community want to do with their IPs.

Re: No Joke, PlatinumGames Is Releasing Sol Cresta On The Nintendo Switch

Razer

Lol these guys are clowns.

They've released multiple games on the Switch giving short time frames between announcement and release.

Except Bayonetta 3, which is obviously going so well that they don’t even need to actually work on it, it's creating itself. They can just spend their time making other games.

Obviously. 🤡

Re: Review: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - RPG Action That Really Shows Its Age

Razer

I stand by what i said before about this game when i first saw they were going to port it over.

The Window for these games closed around 2018 imo, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Dragons Dogma all came out around then with i believe Dark Souls being the last one. This is exactly the same type of game as those, albeit much lesser quality. (Witcher 3 came out later, on a new hardware generation to those other games so i can't include it)

Had this game came out then it would have even scored a solid 7, possibly 8, but it's honestly late to the party and not worth the asking price at this stage.

Re: Nintendo Reportedly Gearing Up For Record Switch Sales This Year

Razer

Yeah right, they'll get good sales but the only unannounced games we'll get will be old ports of games already available on other systems.

Because those are still games and many have yet to be announced so technically, they are completely right.

Nintendo have always been good with their wording and the shills here will lick it up like it's the last drops of custard left in the world.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Voice Chat Maintenance Scheduled For Later Today

Razer

The annoying thing about this app is it genuinely could have been good if Nintendo implemented it better, with more functionality and made it easier for 3rd parties to use.

If they essentially put more effort in this, it could have actually worked, i mean i do use discord on my phone while i play games so im not totally alien to the concept of using my phone as a 3rd communication device for video games.

But the issue is how badly this has been implemented and the sheer lack of effort put into makes me wonder why Nintendo even bothered.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Pro "Will Have Exclusives", Says Insider

Razer

I'll actually believe this when it actually has a solid date attached to it, i want a Switch Pro but Nintendo's window of opportunity to release one is really thin.

At this rate they're leaving it so late that it'll be much like the "New 3DS" and it'll be pointless because most developers were already making games for the original 3DS.

There were a handful of games that benefited from the increased power under the hood in the 3DS because Nintendo were just so late in actually releasing it. Only 2 years later it was replaced by the Switch.

Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month

Razer

@johnvboy
NES mini = prints money - taken off market.
SNES mini = Prints money - taken off the market.
Virtual console = Prints Money - basically gone at this point, unavailable on the Switch.
3D Mario All Stars = Prints Money - about to be taken off the market
Super Mario Bros 35 = attracts subscribers to an already skinny online subscription service - about to be taken offline.

I could go on but yeah i see what you mean, i mean why would a company who likes to make money, NOT remove products that make them money.

That makes perfect sense. 🤪

Now excuse my while i go shoot down these flying pigs who are trying to blow my house down.

Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month

Razer

@CammyUnofficial thats short sighted.

They were fine when the Wii was around. But then their success bred hubris, which then lead them to the Wii U.

Then they weren't doing fine at all.

What im saying is, they are making the same mistakes they made when they were coming off the success of the Wii and into the failure of the Wii U.

Hopefully they can avoid doing that but unfortunately Nintendo have a terrible track record with that.

Re: Review: Bravely Default II - An Excellent Old-School JRPG That's Happy To Play It Safe

Razer

@rallydefault you can rest assured that i haven't missed anything worth playing because any game that looks like it was made for 3DS.

Plays like a generic JRPG that you literally get from one of those mid 00s RPG generators.

Yeah no developer worth half their salt would attempt to charge their fans full price for such little effort.

But Square is fully aware that the starved for games shills on the Nintendo fandom will lap up literally anything and defend the ridiculous price tags.

Like they did when they defended cardboard for £90....

It's pathetic. The majority of people on this website embody those shills to a tee.

Re: Review: Bravely Default II - An Excellent Old-School JRPG That's Happy To Play It Safe

Razer

I love how to the run up of this game, everyone defended the artistic direction.

But when it actually comes down to coughing up money to support that direction, people's tune of music quickly change.

From the demo till now i will always maintain, this game genuinely looks like it shouldn't cost more than £15 like other indie games. It does not warrant the price tag of a full AAA game because it really simply is NOT a full AAA game.

Hard pass.

Re: Diablo II: Resurrected Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch This Year

Razer

@Casual_Gamer95 yeah this along with Skyrim and The Witcher 3 probably did sell quite well, hence why we've had continuous support from both developers behind both games, unfortunately CDPR doesn't have as much to offer as the other two. We also got Overwatch from Blizzard too.

I'd actually venture to guess that Diablo 3, Skyrim and The Witcher 3 are low key the best selling 3rd party ports on the Switch. We know that The Witcher 3 sold 750k copies within 3 months of being on the Switch, that was before that pandemic and we've not had numbers since but I'd guess it'll be well over 2m by now.

Both Skyrim and Diablo 3 more than likely have more.

Re: Soapbox: Zelda: Skyward Sword Is Good, Actually

Razer

Yeah i didn't really enjoy it on the Wii i remember it released around same time as Skyrim, but it was honestly a joke in comparison to Skyrim.

Yeah im not really sure id spend £50 on a 10 year old sub par game. Also if i remember correctly it was a very short game with a low amount of content, i don't even think the price would justify the amount of game you would get.

I would prefer Twilight Princess and Wind waker HD.

Re: As Switch Hits The "Middle Of Its Life Cycle", Nintendo Is Confident It Will Overtake The Wii

Razer

@BenAV oh i forget about 3D World.

That should be good too but look at when that was announced till now? The time frame seems to be more like 6 months, they announced 3D World at the 35th Mario Anniversary.

MonHun was announced around the same time.

So by that time frame, it's safe to assume that Nintendo has nothing else planned for at least until July this year. Because if they were gonna drop a game in June or July, they surely would have announced something by now.

Re: ZeniMax Founder Robert A. Altman Has Died

Razer

@Alpha_Pulse i honestly do not care what anyone of you spineless cowards think.

This snake has ruined many peoples lives who also had families and he didn't give two $h1tz himself.

Like i give a damn what a bunch of convictionless losers on the Internet think.

This man has helped to ruin this industry.

If not for him, Bethesda might have still been the darling developers they use to be in the early 00s. The Industry might have not been riddled with microtransactions on paid games.

This man turned one of the most beloved companies in the game development landscape and turned them into EA v2.

And I'm mean to show empathy to this snake? When he died 20 years too late.

Give me a break. Like i said before, i stand by my convictions. You all can kiss his ass all you like. His family get to live on stolen glory and back stabbed wealth.

I love how Reddit took on the establishment and everyone cheers.

One of the snakest people in our industries establishment finally passes away and it's all tears and sorrow... you all need to grow a spine.

Re: ZeniMax Founder Robert A. Altman Has Died

Razer

@FluffiestP1llow go do your homework kid.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Weaver

In the 1980s, Weaver was introduced to video games when he was asked by one of his engineers to look at a football game idea he was developing – Weaver felt it "was boring". His fix was a physics engine, bounded by football rules. They decided to produce the game, resulting in the formation of Bethesda Softworks. The game was released as Gridiron! for the Atari ST and Commodore 64/128, in 1986.[2] Bethesda later found widespread success as a game developer with its Elder Scrolls series of games.

In 1999, Weaver cofounded ZeniMax Media with Robert A. Altman, as a new parent company for Bethesda. Weaver contributing his stake in Bethesda to ZeniMax,[2] and served as CTO until 2002, then was pushed out. He filed a lawsuit against ZeniMax, claiming he was ousted by his new business partners and was owed severance when ZeniMax didn't renew his employment contract.[5] They filed counterclaims saying he had gone through emails of other employees to make his case.[6][7] In the end, the case was resolved out of court. Although still the largest shareholder as of 2007, Weaver no longer had any day-to-day responsibilities with ZeniMax.[8]

Re: ZeniMax Founder Robert A. Altman Has Died

Razer

This man was part of the reason why the industry has become what it has become, i won't apologise for what i think of this snake.

He stabbed his own friend in the back to secure his own position and rode on that glory for nearly 2 decades.

His legacy has helped to ruin this industry, microtransactions became a thing under his watch, Bethesda were infamous for that ridiculous horse armour on Oblivion that kicked this entire loot box thing in paid video games off.

I said my condolences, albeit with as much respect to his passing as he had for the industry he helped to ruin and one that we all love.

I don't quite care what any of you think. I stand by my convictions, i don't care who they upset.

Re: ZeniMax Founder Robert A. Altman Has Died

Razer

Yeah my condolences blah blah.

This guy was a dirty snake who is a professional back stabber.

If it wasn't for Altman, Bethesda might still have been a good company, not a carbon copy of EA which it has become.

Re: Soapbox: I Wasn't Going To Play Monster Hunter Rise, But The Game Art Is Too Cute

Razer

@JaxonH you know the problem with commenting on a 2 week old topic?

You end up getting old news.

I've since gotten over the clunky controls, got to enjoy the demo and pre ordered the game. And I've mentioned that on various other topics.

You should move on and try not to reply to people on a 2 week old topic, if you want to comment then go ahead.

But don't drag others into you being late to the party.

Re: Nintendo Won't Be Announcing A New Switch Model "Any Time Soon"

Razer

Well this is bad news. My Switch is on it's last legs but i have no intention of replacing it unless an upgrade comes out.

I'm not buying 6 year old technology for £300, that's ridiculous. But no bother really, the PS5 is here and my attention has already shifted focus.

I'll probably be skipping the games now until a Switch 2 with backwards compatibility drops.
