Re: Opinion: Pokémon Legends Z-A Is The Creepiest Entry Yet, Not In A Good Way

@UltimateOtaku91 Nobody knew up until now that TPC wasn't spending decent amounts of money on the games. Even Nintendo employees were shocked at how little they invest into the games when the sales are all but guaranteed and so no worry about profitability. Even though the Pokemon community has a loud, toxic minority, before this came out people were justified at being upset of the quality of the games due to TPC being one of the most profitable entertainment companies in the world. Maybe the budget leaks will curb peoples' disappointment, but more than likely it will help them see that what they should really be upset about is the lack of investment from TPC into the games

While I wish the game was more fleshed out, I'm really enjoying it.

Most NPCs are just standing around, but I find that alright in a lot of RPGs and especially in this one. I'd much rather see the Pokemon moving dynamically through the environment than just the NPCs. There's also just enough NPC movement to not make it feel off.

I wish they had more budget to work with than the measly $13M they had. The windows being 2D is pretty sad and I wish you could go into a lot more buildings especially the shops and cafes. This game only needed to sell 200,000 copies to make a profit off the development budget (basic math not including packaging costs etc), which I guarantee they've sold well over that in the first week. I wish they gave enough budget for them to polish the games like they deserve.

All in all, I'm quite happy with the game and really enjoy the new battle system and the actually fun online mode. There's funny bits of dialogue to be found all over and the mechanics of everything are enjoyable. Hoping the DLC adds quite a bit more to explore and do, but I haven't regretted buying this game at all (unlike Violet which I regretted even after buying it a year-plus after release)

Re: The Best Nintendo Switch 2 Games

Quinntendo

Too early for this type of list but laughable that Silksong is the best "Switch 2" game. Yes the hype was ridiculous, yes it's a good game, but calling it the best on the system and also insinuating it makes the best use of the systems capabilities is just a farse. Not in any way saying it's a bad game, in fact it's great, but the #1 "Switch 2 game" just doesn't ring true to me

With all the issues and crashes and negatives in the review, respectfully what does it take to get lower than a 4? I don't think it should be rated based on promise or "coulda shoulda woulda" or on the off chance it works as intended, based off the issues I think we should be looking at a 2 or 1 star. Kinda the same as Calico when it came out, you could see the promise and vision, but the game itself was definitely terrible

Re: PSA: You Can Still Play One Game Across Two Switches, But Not Online Anymore

Quinntendo

@AlleyCat I'm in the same boat. I use my "secondary console" more portably than I do my "primary console", which makes it a huge hassle to get online verification that I can play my own game. I much prefer it this way. Yeah it sucks that the online family play was lost, but it's a lot more fair to Nintendo and much easier to load games between consoles.

Re: Community: What Questions About Switch 2 Do You Still Have For Nintendo?

Quinntendo

How does Gamechat invites and accepting invites work? In the trailers and on the website they've never shown how to invite anyone, and there didn't seem to be a button for it on the C menu on the trailers. They only showed right after the girl invited her other friends. It also never showed how to accept invites I don't think (though I could be wrong on that)

Re: Nintendo Comments On Mario Kart World's Controversial Price

Quinntendo

To me, I think the $80 is too high even how they're justifying it because there are much more expansive games that I assume will still have more to find than Mario Kart World. TOTK and BOTW have numerous collectables and secrets and they were only $70 and $60. Not to mention to get the most out of this game you also have to pay for NSO. Elden Rings and other single player games are massive and still haven't crossed the $70 mark, so this being $80 and you have to pay for NSO is a gut punch
