Re: Daemon X Machina Is Getting A First Anniversary Update This November

Pojos98

Wow, glad to see this isn’t completely off the radar. I was a big supporter of it, but gotta admit some things were lacking, especially with the environments and story... and let us have some tank legs please... Otherwise a really solid title. Maybe the fact that this genre is completely abandoned means we might see a sequel.

This was my first experience with the originals so I’m always gonna give it a boost. Certainly as time goes by though this collection is going to feel more and more out of step with the 8bit nostalgia marketing the industry has settled on. Two and Three are definitely improvements though. As a kid I wasn’t even sure that One was remade by Nintendo, it looked so off model.

Re: Soapbox: Nintendogs Prepared Me For Life As A Dog Owner, And Now I Want A Switch Version

@Anguspuss Yeah, I will give Nintendo a pass all day long, but they really should have more output. The only truly unique stuff we’ve seen in this generation I’d say is Labo, Ring Fit and that free Jump Rope Challenge they released, maybe Clubhouse Games. I guess they also published The Stretchers and some butt stomp game back when Switch launched, but they aren’t even really marketing those well as Nintendo games, they just appear in the eShop next to shovelware. I just want a little bit more of that quirky fun they had in every previous generation.

@raven89 I mean if you want to be exposing your kids to hate symbols without any context or explanation, be my guest. Any 11 year old kid who sees something holding a gun or a chainsaw is just gonna think ‘cool’, without knowing what the symbol means. I know I did when I was that age. No one is trying to ruin your fun or censor anything here. Ive been playing the new Wolfenstein pretty regularly. I kindly asked it to be taken down or given greater consideration for future posts. That’s it. Also, there are actual people still alive who were impacted by the actions of the Nazi party, I know some myself. They may not be totally cool with seeing the group that ruined their life passed off as a cartoon so publicly. This kind of content should either be properly contextualized or locked behind an age restriction, not showing up next to a frickin article about Super Mario. It’s just decency. Is that really so hard to understand? If you were offended by some painful or complicated content, I sincerely wish other people would take it seriously and think twice before showing it.

@raven89 is it a bunch of SJWs? Seriously dude, just cause someone expresses a preference to have some imagery moderated doesn’t mean the need to be blocked off in some liberal part of the Internet. I can’t even put a curse word on this site without it being edited, I don’t see any harm in pointing out a pic that probably should be removed. This is basically a kids site.

Hey Nintendolife, not a huge mess up, but wondering if in the future you can choose different art to show for this game. Having a Swastika show up next to Mario is just a little weird tbh. I understand that it’s part of the game, but not sure all readers are going to know the history behind this outside of being something that shows up in video games. Cheers otherwise and keep up the good work.

Re: Pokémon GO's New Buddy Adventure Update Brings Your Favourite Partner To Life

Pojos98

The fact that Niantic is selling off people’s location and behavior information makes this actually a little gross tbh. I’d love to be fully excited about this, but I find I hard to knowing that now tech companies are using our attachment to Pokémon to keep us in their ecosystems, literally from when we’re a child to when we die. When I played Pokémon it was alone on a game boy or with friends without adults and corporations monitoring us. Kids today deserve that same freedom.

Re: Poll: Pokémon Sword And Shield Are Out Today, Which Version Are You Getting?

Pojos98

@Digitamamon64 It’s probably best that you’re stepping away then. Nobody likes to feel like they are being lied to. That being said, not everyone feels the same way. For myself, this checks all the boxes and I got it day one. Hopefully next generation improvements can be made to get fans like you back, but even if they don’t, it doesn’t diminish the passion you already put into the series.

Re: Random: Now Pokémon Sword And Shield Haters Are Asking Trump To Halt Sales Of The Game

Pojos98

@Glitchling78 it’s hard to put yourself in the shoes of the people who are being so upset about this. When Crystal and Emerald came out I remember just not getting them cause they felt really samey, and then I didn’t even finish Leaf Green... I just moved on with my life. Some people have legit complaints if they’ve been following the series this long but there are also just people acting in bad faith just to create drama, it’s hard to tell the difference.

Re: Soapbox: It's Time To Admit That F-Zero X Is The Best F-Zero

Pojos98

@GravyThief I kinda had the same experience in that I only recently got X on Wii U virtual console and really like it. That being said I still prefer GX. I was able to get pretty good at it but still haven’t finished the story. I remember the first track I got good at, Aeropolis. The wide turns were a good place to really learn the game. I’d recommend going back to GX. I was never great at it, but getting good st it was one of my most satisfying experiences with a game.
