@HADAA Yes. But still, if they went all the way and killed off all their attorneys (can't get over this), not just adjust the legal system so it doesn't include a possibility of legal defense period (presumably because they'd represent opposition to their ideology), they'd just enforce Rayfa's interpretations as absolute truth. Why is Phoenix the first one to point out there's something fishy about the system and get away with it? I'm genuinely curious. If you know already, don't say it, I want to find out myself by playing the game

Re: We Have To Do A Better Job Of Explaining The Uniqueness Of NX, Admits Reggie

Piersen

I think what he says after what is this article's title is more important. All the "explaining of the uniqueness" in the world won't help you if it doesn't have great games from the start and you expect it to sell like hot cakes just because it has the Nintendo name on it. All those titles he named as reasons to buy WiiU should have been there from launch. Zelda isn't even out yet.

I'm curious about this game. Mostly how they tackle the problem of having a dictatorship where facts don't matter, because they have these divine prophecies. How will proving that without any doubt the prophecy is wrong in court stop them from saying "Nah, the prophecy is always right" and have Phoenix executed like all the other lawyers in the country? I want it to be good, but I don't really know about this premise.

Re: Four New Pokémon Revealed For Pokémon Sun And Moon

Piersen

I don't see a problem with the sand castle. My top three ground types are Krookodile, Flygon and Nidoking in that order, but this could come close. It's like a traditional RPG slime monster, only more creative, somewhat creepy and that dumb shovel on top of its head gives it a silly charm. I think this one has a guaranteed spot on my SM team, together with Rowlet and Vikavolt.

Re: New Pokémon Revealed in Gamescom Sun and Moon Presentation

@J-Manix98 Personally, I'd prefer if they discarded this whole hidden ability idea and just made them regular abilities and Pokemon had all their abilities at once. So many cool situational abilities get little use because they get overshadowed by the most awesome and useful ones. Plus it would bring more depth into the game.

Re: Video: New Pokémon and Team Skull Showcased in Fresh Pokémon Sun and Moon Trailer

Good thing: Raichu getting love
Bad thing: We will probably not get Mega Raichu now

Ideally, what I'd want is for any fully evolved Pokemon to be usable online as a strong team member with reasons to use it over similar Pokemon when building a team. AFAIK Raichu doesn't really benefit very much by doubling its speed even if they buffed Electric Terrain to be a viable strategy. Buffing SpA would be better.

Re: Rumour: Concept Art Reveals the Final Evolutions of the Alola Starters

@UmbreonsPapa Yeah, I know, which is why I mentioned the Bambi eyes But it still looked like a big beast, that you could use to, dunno, carry very heavy things around or whatever. It looked like your little Chikorita grew into something big and strong, and I'm not sure I get this impression from the Popplio evolution.

But again, I am no genwunner, I'm not saying they were the best at the start. I just think that the concept I mentioned is something that is important for starters, and I think gen1 and some of gen2 starters embodied it relatively well.

Re: Rumour: Concept Art Reveals the Final Evolutions of the Alola Starters

Piersen

Well, if I were to go a bit more negative than my previous comment, I might say I can see why people would dislike these designs besides "lol fugly"

The Gen1 starters evolved into three badass lizards, all of which looked like they were quite big. Gen2 had Meganium with Bambi eyes, but it was still a big looking dinosaur. The others were a punk alligator and a frickin flaming honey badger. Case closed.

The starters are in a way supposed to represent the core concept of Pokemon. Little monster -> Big badass monster. I'm not sure how many people want to see their little mon grow into a FABULOUS mermaid. I presume that can be badass too, but it's just not the same as when you look at Blastoise.

So, I don't think these are bad decisions, but they are questionable...

Rowlet is still the best by this theory. The evo could star in his owl stealth game.

(Also Litten evo is dum and looks like little Timmy's first Sonic OC, Steroid the Catman, original character do not steal)

Re: Rumour: Concept Art Reveals the Final Evolutions of the Alola Starters

Piersen

I... kinda see this as quite possibly legit. I don't like that the Litten evo is humanoid, but it could still be a dark type and not fighting, so it might still not be the absolutely worst thing ever. Same thing as Delphox, not really a fan, but it's passable.

Nothing wrong with the Rowlet evo. Hope it gets some arrow related good offensive/utility moves like a grass move super effective against flying or something..

Popplio evo is a siren or some similar beautiful water thing similar to Milotic. Mermaids were inspired by manatees so OK. Better than Litten.

Re: Review: Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (New 3DS / SNES)

@BulbasaurusRex I'd give 3€ at most. I think Nintendo could make better profit if they were selling legacy games at that price. 8€ is something I'd pay for a big semi-recent game on sale on Steam or PSN, or even some sales on the Nintendo eshop. Heck, look at the recent Atlus price drops in Europe. Much better value.

I don't want to advocate emulators and piracy, but when you're selling your old games that cost you little effort to make available, and the value you're offering is basically that you're the only source of them except Ebay, where because of collectors these games go for like a hundred dollars + appealing to the customer's morality ("Piracy is wrong, you wouldn't pirate that old game, would you?")... Well, I think then something is wrong.

Also I think it can't be compared to used games stores. You can resell physical games, so they can be more expensive.

Re: Review: Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (New 3DS / SNES)

Piersen

No thank you. Only VC SNES game I was willing to buy for the outrageous price they want for it was ALttP since that is one of my nostalgic greatest games of all time, and Super Metroid, since the price was lowered thanks to ALttP, haven't played it yet and it's a legendary game. I think noone except for the most diehard fans will buy these games at that price.

Re: Dragon Quest VIII Pushed Back to 2017 in Europe

Piersen

@scamander It could be localized only in English. Nothing is ever localized for my country just because the market is smaller than France or Germany, and we've managed. Kids can learn English by playing games. I learned from Pokemon and Golden Sun back in the day

Re: Talking Point: Considering the Angles of a Portable and Dynamic Nintendo NX

Piersen

Whatever it is, what's more important is how they sell it. They should stop this waiting suspense already or they'll have no time to build hype for the actual thing that people know what it actually is.

All I care is whether there will be good games on it. Like more Fire Emblem, Etrian Odyssey and SMT, if it's supposed to replace the 3DS. Otherwise, I know where to find Persona 5... Don't screw up Nintendo.
