Re: Video: We Feel these Top Ten Characters Deserve to Be in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch

PK_Boss11

Anyone else find it interesting how Rayman seems to not be on many of these lists even after everyone got so hyped with the fake leaked character slot for him back in 3ds/wii u. 🤔🤔 Honestly the move for Rayman makes a whole lot of sense especially because of the recent Mario + Rabbids game. On another note though, here are my top ten choices... (not in any order and newcomers only)
1. King K Rool
2. Min Min
3. Banjo and Kazooie
4. Rayman
5. Crash
6. Waluigi
7. A Zelda newcomer (hyrule champion, midna, tetra, depends on where they go with link)
8. Sylux or Dark Samus
9. Chibi Robo or Isaac
10. Konami fighter (snake, bomber man or simon Belmont)

Let me guys know what you think

Re: Oddworld Creator Lorne Lanning "Has No Faith" In Switch

PK_Boss11

@impurekind Nothing Lorne said was accurate. Nintendo has had some incredibly impressive and creative games in the last few years. Splatoon and Arms both were so creative and different than any other games I'd played before. Also, Nintendo has managed to fresh takes on 30 year old franchises like Mario and Zelda.

Personally, I love my Switch. I didn't buy it so I could play a bunch of 3rd party games, I have an Xbox One for that. I have my Switch because that's what makes Nintendo special, it's so unique from other current gen consoles. And the Switch is going to be largely successful, because it already has been.

Over the years, Nintendo has had many different consoles, but they've always made unique games that are fun to play. But whether they have every 3rd parties support or no one's, they're still going to make their own games the Nintendo way.

Hopefully you can agree that the comment against Mr. Iwata was disgraceful. And it did sting hard for Nintendo and the entire game community to lose a creator like that. But I think that Nintendo is now working hard to do what Iwata would have done, I'd be creative.

Re: Splatoon 2 Nintendo Direct Announced For 6th July

PK_Boss11

@Samus7Killer Yeah I had a great time with splatfests, but the guest star ones were my favorite, like the spongebob and transformers ones. Would love to see like Avengers vs X Men or Jedi vs Sith. Lot of cool combos to create. I'm sure they'll have a lot of cool ideas especially since they're doing splatfests for two years post release.

And yeah it is a bit odd that they're having one pre release but it's a good marketing tool. Although I'm quite torn about what side to choose for this one. I'm on Team Ice cream cake 😂

Re: Splatoon 2 Nintendo Direct Announced For 6th July

PK_Boss11

@Samus7Killer Yeah I preordered it as soon as it got announced. The direct was great, and I'm really excited that drip fed content will happen for a year and splatfests for two. Glad to see they're doing that with this one since it worked so well with the first one.

On an unrelated note I heard Overwatch is a great game, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet, is it that good? 🤔

Re: Oddworld Creator Lorne Lanning "Has No Faith" In Switch

PK_Boss11

Whether he meant it offensively or not, horrible choice of words about Mr. Iwata. Iwata was an amazing creator and spoke highly of the Switch (NX at that time).

But even so, I think this guy is completely wrong. Nintendo is successful even without 3rd party support. I think this year for Nintendo has been it's best in a long time, and I absolutely love my Switch. Now there are some things to work out, but we can see that some system updates and improvements to things will come in the future. Breath of the Wild is absolutely amazing, may be my favorite game ever. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and back some of my favorite characters and a battle mode and made a game I already loved a whole lot better. And Arms is such a fun fresh take on fighting games and a blast as well.

The fact that Nintendo so called lacks thinking is absolutely 100% incorrect. Lots of review sites, gamers, and other game developers rave about how Nintendo's games like BoTW, Arms, and Splatoon have not only been unique but some developers like the Witcher's director said that the bar has been set with Breath of the Wild.

And to be honest, I think Mr. Iwata would be very pleased on how successful this console has been in just 5 months. And this guy has some guts by the way cause he just set off the whole Nintendo community, not cool dude.

Re: Splatoon 2 Nintendo Direct Announced For 6th July

PK_Boss11

@Samus7Killer Definitely think you should get it. I thought the first one at the start was pretty good but all the free DLC and updates really kept me hooked. So whatever they show Friday is 100% not everything they're working on. Overall I had a lot of fun with the first one and I have faith in Nintendo to do the same with this one

Re: Former Metroid Prime Designers Talk About What They Want From A New Metroid Game

PK_Boss11

@Jacob1092 I think an open world is a good idea for Metroid, but there should definitely be enclosed areas like space pirate forts and cities and stuff like that. But I liked how Prime 3 had you going to different planets and I think having some major cities and locations and landmarks on each planet would be cool. And seeing how some recent shooters with open worlds like Destiny and Anthem have loooled beautiful, I think this direction world wide, is definitely the best for Metroid Prime 4.

Re: Review: ARMS (Switch)

PK_Boss11

I hear a lot of people saying things like this is a great game but only for bursts of time. I think that overtime like Splatoon, this game well stay popular and fresh with drip fed content. Plus, this game is developed by the Mario Kart team, who did an incredible job on both games in my opinion. Arms is so unique compared to other fighters, and what I've played of it has been a blast so far so i hope it thrives as a franchise with many installments for years to come, the potential is huge.

Re: Video: What We Think Could be Announced at E3, and What Definitely Won't

PK_Boss11

While I'm so hyped for e3, I'm going to list some reasons for a smash port to be released incredibly soon for Switch and announced at E3 2017.

1. If the Switch is a hybrid console that focuses heavily on local multiplayer, than Nintendo needs it's best fighter and party type game.

2. Nintendo had already shown that they are willing to release fighting games within in the same year of each other with ARMS and Pokken DX.

3a. The time for Wii U ports is running slim, and smash is really the only game people still want ported.

3b. This is an incredibly easy game to port since the graphics between Wii U and Switch are close in comparison

4. If Nintendo wants to really sell this idea of the Switch to 3rd parties than a smash port needs to come quickly.

I think a new smash should add some more characters and stages as well as 3DS stages, and maybe some new modes as well. Also all DLC will be added and more free or paid DLC will come trough drip def content. I think this is the perfect time for Nintendo to pull the trigger.

Re: Poll: Who Would You Like To See In Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Switch?

PK_Boss11

@SilentS Ok apparently you don't know but originally FF7 was supposed to come out on the N64, but then came out on the PS instead. Also, FF7 came out in 1997 before Banjo and Kazooie and Legend of Zelda OoT. MARIO 64 came out in 1996.

Now Microsoft and Rare are much more deserving to have a smash challenger over any of these indie companies who hold Shovel Knight and Shantae. Banjo is a big part of Nintendo history and should absolutely be included. And maybe Microsoft wants to use this as a promo, and that's fine. I think all parties want to see this franchise resurface, since they haven't had a title since Nuts and Bolts almost a decade ago now. I think all parties win and Banjo would be a great challenger to use

Re: Poll: Who Would You Like To See In Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Switch?

PK_Boss11

@SilentS Cloud may not be on Nintendo systems, but he's still in important part of gaming and really Nintendo. Because of how Nintendo had to compete with Sony at the time, MARIO 64, Legend of Zelda Ocarnia of Time, and Banjo Kazooie where born. Which brings me to my point on how Banjo should be the next smash bros challenger. Phil Spencer the Microsoft Boss has alreay told Nintendo that he would love to see Banjo in smash bros. Mario, Cloud, Link and Banjo completely transformed late 90's gaming and it would be amazing to see them duke it out. There's so much you could do with Banjo and it brings back some classic Nintendo to compliment some of the newer challengers like Shulk, Greninja and Robin

Re: Feature: What We Expect From the Nintendo Direct - 12th April

PK_Boss11

@flapjackashley2 this is true, but you never know we may get a surprise big announcement. I think E3 will be big but mostly focused on Mario Oddesey, since it's the biggest title coming out for Switch as of now besides BotW. Nintendo's main focus of this direct however should be to show off and give us details on Splatoon 2 and Arms

Re: Reggie Fils-Aimé Promises "A Big E3" For Nintendo This Year

PK_Boss11

@westman98 I'm see what you mean and not saying these games should never come out on Switch, but they just came out on 3ds so we shouldn't have them now. Like I would rather have an Animal cordsing thrn Pokémon cause New Leaf is old now but Pokémon Sun and Moon is still relatively new

Re: Reggie Fils-Aimé Promises "A Big E3" For Nintendo This Year

PK_Boss11

@Varnen @westman98 It's not that I think monster Hunter and Pokémon can't sell consoles, because you're right it did with 3ds. But some people who already have the 3ds won't buy the Switch to play MH or Pokémon because they can already play it portable. And yes although some of my requests may have been a bit unrealistic Nintendo needs to revive some of it's older series and make them more current gen like they did with Zelda. Games like a new Metroid, Animal Crossing, or F Zero could end up being console sellers by capturing the current gen feel and also drawing in 3rd parties. But I also think Ninty should continue to make new IPs such as Splatoon and Arms to use their hardware in cool and creative ways.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aimé Promises "A Big E3" For Nintendo This Year

PK_Boss11

@westman98 @Varnen You know, I'm so sick and tired of everybody talking about the Pokémon, and everybody talking about the Monster Hunter. These franchises are the only reason why the 3ds still has games coming out for it. What Nintendo needs to do is do what they did with Zelda. They caught up with current games with the open world and the beautiful graphics, and Mario Odessey seems to be doing the same with the Sandbox approach. Yet going back to Zelda, it still had the Nintendo magic touch on it. We need a new current gen Metroid Prime, or a new Pikmin, or Smash Bros. or Animal Crossing. Their is no reason why people should even be asking for Pokémon or Monster Hunter on the Switch right now

Nintendo needs to approach E3 in the Nintendo way. Get fans excited by doing things and making games the way only Nintendo makes them

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire on Nintendo Switch?

PK_Boss11

@masterLEON I think some of the times of the demo that didn't fit into people's schedule easily actually helps the Global Test fire. If this was just a regular demo than people wouldn't stay up and play their games in the middle of the night, but that's part of it they make it something you wait and hype for. I know there is strategy behind why they do this for multiple reasons.

1. They did it before, nothing really changed much between the setup of Splatoon 1 or 2 with the global testfire, so obviously they liked what they did before.

2. Nintendo is so good at building hype and the "man I've gotta have this" Nintendo did this with taking the time to incorporate one amiibo into multiple games, or having the Robot Operating Buddy beat that hard level for you.

3. Splatoon was a game that saved Wii U from complete fallout for it's time, so obviously Nintendo has plans for this to be just as big of a game as the last, and part of that is making people wake up at 7 in the morning in Saturday to play their game.

All in all Splatoon 2 should be a great game, but Nintendo makes sure they give the right tease to hype up this game for all regions

Re: Guide: Nintendo Switch Launch Games & Release Dates 2017

PK_Boss11

@JamesR Honestly after waiting for three years to play Breath of the Wild, I think that is a sufficient launch for me because I will play that games for hours upon hours. Maybe that's not the case for some people, but we only know some games right now. I think it's more important that Nintendo gets on board with the virtual console and the fans and 3rd party devs than try to stack their launch lineup. I think as time goes on once Switch establishes itself, the Nintendo games will come along.

Re: Soapbox: The Switch Presentation Was Good, but Not Perfect

PK_Boss11

Personally to me, I thought Nintendo touched base on everything they needed to and had some awesome titles to show.

Mario Kart Deluxe scratched me right where I itched with a new battle mode finally the return of Bowser Jr, and the Inklings (still no Diddy Kong)

Splatoon 2 was just marvelous. Again and again these developers have continued to make this franchise great, can't wait to play the new game

Super Mario Oddesey gives me a Galaxy feel and how cool is it Mario get's to run around New York

Breath of the Wild again stunned me. I'm almost certain the guy with the deep voice is the King of Hyrule from Wind Waker, looks to be the sequel

Overall great Job Ninty

Re: Poll: One Week to Go - How Are Your Nintendo Switch Presentation Hype Levels?

PK_Boss11

@shonenjump86 Agreed, these new power rumors scare me a bit. I don't want to play heavily downgraded versions of games on the portable switch and then normal at home, I want it to be the same both ways.

It may be to much to hope for but a Smash Switch makes perfect sense here. Think, add Wolf, Ice Climbers, and Inkling and put about a $250 bundle with all he current DLC and the Switch will sell like hot cakes. Or even and some more DLC once the game releases

Re: EA Reconfirms That A "Major Game" Is In Development For Nintendo Switch

PK_Boss11

@Flauber Couldn't agree more. Although I was mad for what EA did with Wii U, EA and other 3rd parties presence with the Switch couldn't be more vital. In order for Nintendo to be the major gaming company again, it needs to sway over some of Microsoft's and Sony's fans.

The console wars are so overrated and kind of inaccurate, but if Nintendo wants sales they have to draw people in with what they're used to in order to boost Switch sales. Some of my friends are Madden lovers like me, but unlike me are unwilling to buy a Nintendo console. Nintendo has to target this audience with the NX's hardware.

Re: Poll: How Important is the Virtual Console, and GameCube, for the Nintendo Switch?

PK_Boss11

I think virtual console is vital to the Switch success. It needs to be here because the older generation may not be crazy into these new titles. And not only the current gen gamers, but targeting older and former gamers to bring them back to the games they love is vital. It will heavily boost Switch sales and open them to the current gen gaming more smoothly.

However even more so though, HD remakes and touch ups can really be good here. Smash bros Melee, F Zero GX, and Mario Sunshine just to name a few that would be great in HD. It's a really good idea to do a few of these or VC, but probably not both. Nintendo still needs to have it's primary focus on the future and utilizing the Switch's hardware

Re: Nintendo Attractions Confirmed for Universal Studios and Resort Theme Parks

PK_Boss11

I'm really interested to see how this ends up. I would for sure except Mario to be there, but can I hope for Zelda, Metroid, etc?

Although Mario should be the biggest part there's plenty of smaller things you can do with smaller series, like a mute city gift shop or earthbound cafe, or Pikmin playground like the Honey I shrunk the Kids one at MGM.

There's endless possibility but hopefully we'lol see some immersive scenery and get some cool new rides and roller coasters

Re: Talking Point: Ports vs. Sequels On The Nintendo Switch

PK_Boss11

Making Smash Bros Switch as a launch title is essential, and adding FREE DLC will be awesome and help the console get off to a great start. The game should come with 4 more characters getting us to 62, than 8 more characters after that will get us to 70 which would be amazing and the limit most likely.

The game will come with
5 new stages, 10 3ds, all of Wii U
All 58 characters with the addition of
-Ice Climbers
-Wolf
-Inkling
-Banjo Kazooie

Kind of just spitballing here, but now that they have a lot more third parties involved could get more guest stars in smash. EA? Bethseada? Please let me here your ideas and wishes for a Smash Bros Switch

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the Nintendo Switch?

PK_Boss11

@Enigk I agree I definitely wanted to see more games and features, but I'' glad they got the media's attention by doing this now. The games will come soon enough, but they needed to give us something to look forward to and show off the gaming alternative to what else is on the market

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the Nintendo Switch?

PK_Boss11

Loving the console though. I think like most anylasts are saying, it really did take the Wii U's flaws and corrected them and made tech better. Still need to know some more details about games, graphics, and pricing. Definitely looking to pick this up in March, Nintendo has finally been saved, so we think... 😂
