As many of you are no doubt aware, Gamescom is set to take place very soon. The trade show is similar to E3 in many ways, but it's held in Cologne, Germany and is open to the public for attendance. Naturally, developers are keen to bring their A-game, and many major reveals are made here. Among other things, Square Enix will be showing off Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past at the show, and it wants to hear what the fans think about the upcoming release.
A post recently went up on Miiverse where it was announced that the development team for DQVII is going to be part of a Gamescom event on Friday where it will be answering some questions from fans around the world regarding the upcoming port. Anything's game, just write it down in a reply to the Miiverse post and maybe your question might get asked.
What do you think? What do you want to ask the team? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

"Is it censored?" "When is Dragon Quest VIII releasing?"
Bet those are 90% of the questions.
Hate to change the subject, but is Final Fantasy coming out on NX and when? After that big "Play it FIRST on PlayStation" meaning coming to NX later, I'm hoping 😂🙏🏼 I care much more about Final Fantasy than Dragon Quest, which most people probably do also.
@PK_Boss11 love your avatar gif lol
How many questions can there really be about a game that has been out for 3 years that's a remake of game that came out 16 years ago?
So when is Dragon Quest VIII coming out?
"Is it an open world, action RPG, with hardly any RPG elements, that appeals solely to the western audiance, and is 500 hours long?"
"No? Then this game sucks!"
But seriously, I'm looking so forward to this game! I never had a PlayStation 1 or two, so I finally get to play DQ 7 & 8!
I just ordered today Dragon Quest 3 on the Game Boy. Time to get some practice!
@PK_Boss11 sadly yes
The game is actually a remake, not a port like it was stated in the article. This game is the original release in Japan, which was ported to iOS and Android down the road.
Nagging aside, can't wait for the game, finally we Europeans are also getting the game officially. It also does not bother me that DQVIII was delayed until 2017, as i head DQVII is full of content, and will take a while to finish.
@Neon_Blues 500 hours is about right though.
I was worried we'd see no Dragon Quest on 3DS.
Got IV, V, VI and IX for DS, with VII and VIII coming to 3DS, and X and XI coming to NX...
That's a pretty nice spread.
Will I like it?
Does DQ7 have a strong story?
When's DQ8 coming out?
When will we get more info on DQ11?
What's there to ask? The game is a remake and like 5 years old.
Can we get a solid release date, please?
Did you guys actually mess with the OST?
Is that pink little guy dressed as an insect as shown in the upper left corner of the box art a playable character? If not, why?
To be honest, I do want to know whether it's censored (from Japan to Europe) and/or if it's toned down from the PlayStation original to the 3DS remake. Unfortunately though, I don't think I could boycott a Dragon Quest.
For what it's worth I don't think these games will be censored in localisation, as (going by VIII) they are already toned down just by being on 3DS.
What is the length of the story? What about adding sidequests?
Will there be a bestiary?
@bolt05 @Darkthany Yeah, but still got me more interested than fourtune street though 😂. And thanks for liking the avatar gif btw
When will we see Dragon Quest I-IV and Final Fantasy I-III (US) on the virtual console for Wii U. Along with Chrono Trigger and the other great Square-Enix games.
Why doesn't it have an orchestrated soundtrack? Like in the Japanese version.
As someone who's never played Dragon Quest games but a fan of old school JRPGs, tell me what makes the series great and why I should start getting into it.
I have some Questions.
Where the H-E-double tooth picks is this game?
How long did it take to get localized?
Does it it have alchemy?
How much is it going to cost?
Is there some voice acting?
