Nintendo have been lazy on the AAA games front. Too many remakes, and too many Pokémon games for my liking.

I miss the days of the Wii U. Great games, one after another. Wasn’t many games, but their was always something very good to play!

Seems like when I log onto NL website, it’s just full of Pokémon news. Great if you like Pokémon, but I don’t personally.

It’s starting to feel old now. I’d like to play Snowrunner for example, but I don’t see it being very good on the switch. It need better hardware.

The said, I far prefer Switch games over the Xbox, PlayStation’s same-y games.

It’s a shame the system wasn’t more popular. I bought it as soon as it was released, and never ran out of memorably good first person games to play on it.

For some reason, all my favourite systems are the ones that were not popular. My least favourite are Sony or Microsoft consoles.

I would love it if they released a compilation of the best Saturn and Dreamcast games on the Switch. It makes sense and I’m sick of constant Megadrive releases with all the same games. I’ve played enough Sonic games! Time for other games now!

On a man, the t-shirt on the right would just be a straight up and down baggy affair. But the girl model make it look fantastic! I guess a man has to be built like a truck to make a t-shirt look that good…?

I’m not keen on Streets of Rage 4, so I’ve been feeling a distinct lack of side scrolling beat em up games ever since playing them in the arcades. I hope this will go some way to filling the gap they’ve left in people’s lives.

I don’t know why, but I prefer Daisy to Peach. I would be a little let down if she added after, or not at all. Having said that, I will still buy the game at some point. I’m not a huge football fan, so this arcade style football game is perfect for me.

If this becomes the norm for new games, then I’ll stick to retro gaming only.

There are loads of past games to play, more than anyone could ever play in a lifetime.

Modern indie games could learn a lot from this. Looks classic!

Super Mario 3D All Stars had... 12,931 reviews on Amazon UK when i looked. I think it’s fair to say there are plenty of copies out in the wild!

Used copies can be had from £46ish. And they are cartridges, so they will be the be as new. If you want one, go but one for the same condition, and the same price.

I’m not convinced this game will be that valuable after March 31st. There are so many copies floating around that the price should be stable, same as any other Nintendo Switch first party game.

Why so many votes for Under Leaves? Never heard of it. Maybe i just missed it though...

And I’ve already played and completed the game on the Wii U. It was one if the best games ever imo.

Still don’t know for certain what the issue is. The biggest problem i have with jt is that i don’t like horror stuff in general, but I’d never want to get it cancelled because of that.

And, girls have boobs under clothes, i thought people knew that... there are far worse things that that in a game about violence and horror!

I would say Mario 3D All-Stars, but it feels like a cop out to put it as game of the year, as its a re-release of several games.

And as much as i like Paper Mario Origami game, i didn’t like it, that, much.

The title and cover at for 51 games puts me off. But on closer inspection, the game itself looks great.

That seems to have sorted it.

They only needed a refresh of the original game, but with a new story. I feel this version is too different.

I’m not the biggest switch fan in the world, but releases like this make me wonder why I don’t love it more.

I hope this starts a trend of arcade racing game releases!

I see subscription gaming as being like ebooks (Kindle etc). There maybe a place for it, but only taking its place alongside traditional gaming.

For example, I will read kindle books for convenience. But I’d much rather have a paper book I can hold in my hands.

In the same way, I download games I kind of like, but I buy a physical copy of my favourites.

But, I can see subscription gaming weeding out the chaff of physical media.

I agree with Nintendo that games sell the consoles, and not the hardware. But now we are at a point were the hardware specs for a new console can last a long time before they become outdated.

I don’t follow what Xbox One X specs are, but a quad core 3ghz+ cpu, with a 1660 GPU and 8gb ddr4, I think would be more than enough power for games for a long time.

Nintendo investing in a more powerful switch console now could pay dividends in the long term.

Lots of good games on the list. I’m doing ring fit atm. I’ve just done Labo kit 4, it was hard, but fun.

I don’t own any games on the list though.

@lumothesinner Good point. Didn't think of that. I played almost all my Wii U games in local two player mode. That must have made the difference as well.

Breath of the Wild was good. I liked it. But not as good as the scores would suggest, imho.

Best game for me was Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U. For me, most of the best game were on the Wii U. Yet none are on the list. Each to their own, I guess.

I still play my Wii U because I love the second screen and want easy access to a few N64 games.

If this game is out in Europe, I’ll download it.

Oh, and it’s also still the best way to play Wii Fit.

SoR4 characters look very odd! This looks a lot better though. I may get this instead.

Really don’t like the look of the characters. Probably a fun game, but I struggle to get over the graphics.

This was not the upgrade I was looking for. If I wanted better battery life I’d buy something like a Venom Powerpack for £24 ish, instead of paying £200.

I don’t see the point for me. I don’t often use my Switch in hand held mode.

I’d like a new switch with an upgraded APU and more ram.

Which magazine did research into Prime day and said 87% of deals can be found the same price or cheaper at other times.

Seems like if this was a games with pretty girl it would get a very low mark and lots of decrying comments!

It’s a really good game. I wasn’t expecting it to be so light on the RPG element though. If seen as an action game then it’s very good.

I’m playing this for the first time on the Switch as part of the Megadrive Collection.

I’m playing Starlink. Good game with a very cheap starter pack.

Still waiting for Switch Fit...

Mario Kart 8 deluxe is still the most played game that hasn’t only just been released.

I’d love the entire Wii U library (including Wii Fit U) on the switch at a bargain price. Then I’d get rid of my Wii U for good.

I’d even like the silly little games like Nintendo Land.

Mario Party Switch is what I’m playing. Other than that it’s Skyrim on steam. Can’t face paying £50 for it when I already have in on the PC.

Before the update, my download speeds seemed questionable. After the update, they seem a lot more realistic.

I actually like the service. It only cost me £17.99 for a whole year, and I’m already working through Zelda as I’ve never seen played it all the way through.

I prefer it to playing maybe £3.59 per title when I might not like the game. Also, it a nice surprise to see what new games will be released.

Just bought Capcom Beat em bundle so I have to vote for it.

I’m very happy with the game. Perfect arcade conversions without endless stupid achievements and pointless add on modes.

I’m playing Go Vacation on the Switch.

To be honest I’d rather just play my NES or SNES Minis. Also, there’s normally huge lengthy write ups for games I don’t care about. For this it’s basically “some games n stuff”.

I'm playing Animal Crossing on the Wii and Wii Fit U on the Wii U.

I bought this on the PC and I’m lemonenting my decision. I bought it as a prerelease version and I’m grapeful they finished it at least. I really thought I’d like this more than I do because I’m nuts about Mario Kart games. I think Beach buggy Racing blows raspberries at this because it’s so much better.

@Petriebird This is what I've decided to do. Whatever system has just been replaced is the one I will buy. Games are a lot cheaper, the systems nowadays will be more than powerful enough and I will know what games are good or bad.
