A new year has hit us like a more-literal-than-usual gravy train, and suffice to say despite this happening every year, next year we promise we'll be better.
Before then, it would no doubt do us - and anyone else who perhaps indulged a bit too much - some good to start of the new year proper; a healthier outlook could certainly make all the difference.
And as timely as that, in walks Fitness Boxing, a new exercise application for the Switch. It harkens back to the says of Wii Fit, where it's not really a game, but more of a companion on your console. If you're curious to see how the whole thing works, then make sure you check out the video above where we do just that with your hands and mouths and stuff.

I am considering getting this game. I just wish there was more than boxing.
I wish the songs weren't remixed by a lift.
I got Beat Saber on PS4 instead. The better fitness game imho.
I don't know which is lower, the range of activities in this game, or the amount of time spent QA-ing this copy.
I want my Wii Fit Trainer gosh darn it!
Meanwhile...
For me, by playing one Lv 18 song on Dance Dance Revolution Arcade (Approximate 1.5 minutes songs), i can burn between 50 - 70 kcal, depend on the song and the stepchart.
I will sweating a lot after playing Dance Dance Revolution.
Oh, i can burn calories until more than 700 kcal by playing DDR for total playing time = 2 hours.
Btw, Lv 18 DDR songs = Very Damn Hard !
Don't even ask about Lv 19 DDR songs !
So he taped this 12.20.2018?
I played the demo last night and I will likely get this.
Still waiting for Switch Fit...
Missed opportunity to see Alex in a push-up bra...
@SonicMos You burn more than 1kcal per minute just by sitting around doing absolutely nothing. In fact you burn more than that every minute you're asleep.
I think Alex should do a "one year later" video after using boxing
Not if I didn't make any new year resolutions to begin with.
Good! Alex could stand to loose the man boobs. Or he could just wear larger NL t-shirts.
What’s it like in handheld? 😏
Probably not. Losing weight is 90% diet.
I have the same Christmas jumper as Alex
@Wanjia no that's pretty much a fact. Put less in than required and you lose weight. A caloric deficit is required to lose weight.
@Wanjia Hence why I said diet and not dieting. And also 90%. Your diet makes a far greater impact than exercise. I lost 110 pounds mostly from diet. Didn't even start lifting or BJJ until after I lost everything.
@Wanjia The whole starvation mode thing has been disproven. If your tdee is 2500 and you only consume 1500 you will be fine. It's another story when you go into PSMF, but done correctly (and shortly) you should be fine.
@Trajan @Wanjia, OMG your both right okay!!!😡😂😂😂
Damn, when ego's are unleashed. LOL
Ha! I have that same Christmas Jumper, and of course it is my favourite
Real professional...
I picked up Fitness Boxing a few days ago. This game is AWESOME. My body is so sore from all the punches and workouts. I can't wait to use this game long term to help me lose weight! Alex Olney you should play this game long term and tell us if you think it helped you lose weight. xD
