I'm avoiding the series until gay marriage is a thing. Even Story of Seasons allows it nowadays, Rune Factory has no excuse.

I'm playing through Platinum for the first time in anticipation. Much more enjoyable than Gen 8, in my opinion.

I'm sure I'll get this at some point, but I still have both Hyrule Warriors titles and Persona 5 Strikers to get through first.

@Anti-Matter I'm glad to hear some people got enjoyment out of it. I still haven't been able to beat it due to its slow-paced and bizarre missions that don't really fit the franchise. When I think Metroid, I don't think "protect the convoy" or "play golf to activate a system". Might get round to beating it one of these days.

@BloodNinja Of course it's worth it, Metroid Dread is the exact game a significant majority of Metroid fans have wanted for 19 years. This isn't a soulless spinoff like Federation Force, this is what the fans want.

I've been wanting Metroid 5 for over a decade and a half, so you can imagine what I voted for. Finally some payoff for that "See you next mission" in Fusion!

@Hordak It really doesn't. Best to leave Super's dramatic ending intact. We don't want Mother Brain to become Ridley or Bowser.

Not terribly impressed by the trailer. The art style is bland and lazy.

Hopefully, they'll include gay marriage. My gut tells me they won't though.

I've been getting back into Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. What a game! I really hope Explorers of Sky gets remade after the gen 4 remakes come out

Link's Awakening has such a homely feel to it. It pulls you in in a way that few games can match

@Anti-Matter Fair enough. Personally, I find the pixel art packs a lot of charm. There's something so special about gen 4. I'm really excited for these remakes.

@Lagster_YT You should try some out for sure. I'd say Ocarina, Wind Waker or Twilight Princess are safer games to try after botw, but you might enjoy Skyward Sword.

If it was even vaguely affordable, I'd consider it. Unfortunately, it won't be

Is it just me or does this look similar to Morphite? I wonder why so many 3D Metroid-inspired titles have this art style

When I get a moment free, I'll go back to Mario Maker 2. Maybe some Stardew and Animal Crossing too. Quite tempted to continue Broken Hour on PC, but if I do that then it'll take up a full day

I'd love to be able to play Skyward Sword without waggling my arm every time I had to use the sword, but unfortunately, I don't see that happening. Still looking forward to the eventual remaster though

Just over a fortnight to go! I can't wait to play this with a better controller. Never liked the Wii U one for platformers

I'd happily get a second pro controller for this! And a third if Xenoblade X is ever ported and gets a custom one.

I haven't finished it yet either due to my insane backlog. Saying that I will try to fully complete it. The Hyrule Warriors prequel has given me the drive

@sketchturner Yup! It has online multiplayer due to lockdown. I presume you can only play with friends, but it's easy enough to exchange friend codes on discord or something

Metroid is currently missing from Switch. The original and Super Metroid do not count, they're untouched ports
