@LunarFlame17 It’s pretty widely known, but sadly it doesn’t work for everyone. Mine had to be replaced, even after trying contact cleaner. Apparently there is something in the stick hardware that disintegrates over time. Not sure on the specifics on that, but Nintendo needs to start getting their act together cause if not, I know they will lose customers.

Very surprised they didn’t address this, and very glad that I didn’t buy a launch model.

@Syndrome Oh dear, I didn't think of that possibility. I hope the rumored pro version will still be able to Switch modes. I actually wouldn't get it if it couldn't play handheld mode.

I actually want one, but I'm holding off hoping that they a) release an orange one, b) don't have stick drift, and c) enable multiple primary consoles for a single user. Don't want a portable system tethered to an internet connection to be able to play games!

This is the last time I buy a digital game.

I don't care about saves across games, but if I own two Switches, can I play cartridge based games on both or will those also be tethered to the internet, as well?

Wow, I was totally on board for this system until I read about how they handle one console to be primary and another secondary. Why they are making it more difficulty to use things you already own is beyond me.

I really want a Switch Lite, but I have two concerns.

1) Stick drift.

2) There's no neon orange color.

@MeloMan Honestly, I thought Samus Returns sucked. They made so many changes to the combat that it lost its simplicity. Now that I know that LA is a 1:1 remake with quality of life changes, I can confidently buy it.

@NicolausCamp Yep! And Square Enix has a bad reputation when it comes to shoddy ports, so we know how that will go. Meanwhile, Witcher 3 runs like hot butter., well mostly.

I mean, if there's enough demand, it can happen. Same thing with Dark Souls, now that game's on every console and PC.

@WiltonRoots Same! Plus, it makes sense that the Nintendo users commenting on this are confused, because Nintendo usually doesn’t get the mainstream fighting games on it, only Smash. Now that it is starting to see some classic arcade fighters on it, it makes sense that they would release something for the people that want a fight stick without the stick lol

@sixrings Wireless controllers bring with them latency, and this is bad for fighting games, which is the key market for a controller like this. Fighting game controllers of higher quality are almost always wired to reduce input lag.

@Heavyarms55 Controllers like these are typically held differently. So the left thumb works the d pad, and the right hand uses your three fingers between the index and thumb on the face buttons, as if typing. Kinda like a fight stick without the stick. I’ve used them before and they do feel quite nice, especially for games like Soul Calibur.

The main thing with fight sticks is comfort. If you ever watch pro street fighter tournies, you’ll see a variety of sticks and controllers cause the participants feel most “at home” on a particular instrument. It largely depends on the user to determine said comfort.

Hm, not bad, and the price is right. It would probably work on a PC, and would be great for arcade emulation in MAME. Hm!!!

@Moroboshi876 Oh absolutely. Glad you enjoyed those! The 3DS remake felt a little dry for me, but I'm happy that they even thought to port/remake it to begin with.

What are your thoughts of V, which most people consider their favorite?

@Moroboshi876 Oh, if they used the NES roms I would be in heaven. No, I'm suggesting they are using the SNES roms, or at least that's what I'm hoping!

@Moroboshi876 I disagree about 4 being the best. When you get to the last half of the game and you lose control of all your party members except the hero, that was a huge turn-off for me. That was fixed in the NDS version, so if you played that I get what you mean! 1-3 are top notch, all the way though, with 2 being my favorite.

@EarthboundBenjy The mobile releases are ports of the SNES releases. Hopefully the Switch port is not a port of the mobile release; then I would agree with you!

@_aitchFactor Having more evidence is sketchy? Weird. Most people think that have more evidence makes for a much more solid case, but you do you I guess.

@JasmineDragon Using an emulator is only cheating if the emulator isn’t a 1:1 recreation of the hardware. And considering how good emulation is, and considering he live-streamed the record, I think we can put down any accusations.

@SwitchForce Unless you have proof that you’re not a cheat? If he didn’t have sufficient proof, there isn’t a lawyer alive that would take his case. Sounds like he has a reasonable burden of proof, so you might want to consider that piece of information before being so stubborn!

@GregamanX I would prefer a new series, personally. MM12 or MMX9 would just continue to sully what the first 5 in each game accomplished in terms of quality. Give me something fresh and inspired.

@Arnold-Kage When more Mega Man is Mega Man 11, that’s definitely a bad thing. The series hit its peak at Mega Man 5, hasn’t been the same ever since.

@NotTelevision Exactly. And I remember the surprise I experienced when they did that with Metroid Zero Mission. What a great nod to the players. I’m really hoping they do that with Links Awakening!

Perfect score for this wonderful game. I have many fond memories of it. Heck, it's on display with F Zero X, right next to my desk. Love the heck out of those games!

@Hinade I enjoy good story telling when it's not ham-fisted and over the top. This gave me a good laugh because of how heavy handed it is. It's not good story telling; it's just blatantly over playing the source material to the point where it's comical, even down to the goofy, anime faces.

@Manski777 Oh, there are tons of arcades in town. They were outlawed in the 50’s or so because the mafia was making pinball arcades their hang out. The law is on the books but nobody enforces it.

Heck, there's a law that says video arcades are illegal in my hometown. It's never been changed, it's still on the books and can be actively pressed if someone really wanted to. I'm sure you know where I'm going with this! lol
