@johnvboy "...it does feel a lot more like a regular golf game, but that's not all that bad."

No, it's not necessarily bad, but Advance Tour and World Tour were a lot more than just a regular golf game with Nintendo characters, so that's kind of what I was expecting from Super Rush. As it is, I already have an excellent regular golf game for the Switch in PGA Tour 2K21.

@johnvboy Whether or not the controls are "spot on" is really not the issue. The controls in PGA Tour 2K21 are also spot on. So what really separates Super Rush from PGA Tour 2K21 besides a more colorful aesthetic and a handful of fantasy obstacles? Where are the outlandish courses like World Tour's Cheep Cheep Lagoon, DK Jungle, and Sky Island?

@johnvboy "...it's not a game pitched against the ultra realistic golf simulators, it's a more light hearted fun version of the game..."

I think the problem is that Super Rush may be a little too light-hearted. Mario Golf Advanced Tour on the GBA, and Mario Golf World Tour on the 3DS offered more than simple light-hearted fun. They had real depth and longevity, a variety of play modes and mini-games, multiple goals to work towards, all based around exotic golf courses that could only exist in the Mario universe. Super Rush, in comparison, looks like a straight golf game with Nintendo characters.

@UndoControl Now you're engaging in idle speculation in an attempt to salvage your defeated argument. You don't have any idea which games would and wouldn't have been made if crowdfunding didn't exist. You can try and guess, but that's merely your opinion, not a fact.

As for your "threat" to ignore me, personally, I find it hilarious that some people don't have the maturity to concede a debate and instead petulantly put the other party on ignore.

Re: Nintendo Switch Has Now Sold More Than 20 Million Units In Japan

And people really think Nintendo is going to undercut this success with a brand new upgraded Switch that make all their existing customers feel like early adopter chumps.

Edit: And for the all the people down thread giving me grief with nonsense like "Are you not familiar with the DS to DS Lite to DS XL, etc.?" Those were simply variations of a console that didn't change the underlying capabilities, unlike what people expect from the Switch Pro which, if rumors are to be believed, will feature substantially more powerful hardware and new capabilities. To put this into perspective, the 3DS, which had more power and new capabilities, was released a full 7-years after the DS. The Switch has only been on the market for 4.

@Snatcher The fortune telling shop was the only Main Street location that I never managed to unlock in New Leaf. I'm not even sure what you needed to do to earn it. I also missed out on a number of town projects and building exteriors for whatever reason. I think there were a lot of hidden mechanics in New Leaf that made certain things a lot more obscure than they needed to be.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Deserted Island Diary Releases This September

I think the New Leaf vs. New Horizons debate will never end. I often get the feeling that some people would have been perfectly happy if New Horizons was nothing more than an HD refresh of New Leaf with a couple of new features thrown in. These are the same people who go on and on about how wonderful the "life sim" aspect of New Leaf was, which leaves me scratching my head, because in the hundreds of hours I've spent with New Leaf and New Horizons, I honestly don't see any significant difference between villager interactions in the two games.

Then you have the people who complain about the lack of "unlockables" in New Horizons while in the same breath they complain about having to "grind" for things like item recipes, so they seem to be of two minds about this sort of thing.

The other thing New Leaf fanboys love to do is to list all the things from New Leaf that are "missing" from New Horizons, but they never seem to look at it from the other direction and note all the things in New Horizons that are "missing" from New Leaf. It's not that New Horizons has fewer features and activities, it just has different features and activities.

Are there some features from New Leaf that I would like to have seen brought over to New Horizons? Of course, but I also know if I ever tried playing New Leaf again, there are a number of New Horizons features that I would greatly miss. Each one is its own game, and I think they are equally enjoyable, but of course, individual results may vary.

@ItsOKToBeOK "To me, if its played competitively, its a sport. NASCAR, Chess, Horse Racing, and yes gaming too, are all sports in my book."

Your "book" is too broad if you consider gaming and chess to be sports. Every dictionary definition of "sport" I can find specifies that it involves physical exertion. NASCAR racing certainly counts because the forces experienced during a race require a lot of body strength to keep oneself upright and in control of the vehicle (why do you think there are no fat NASCAR drivers?). Horse racing is also a physical sport. But chess and gaming? No way.
