I'm usually pretty Positive about these directs but this was poor. We saw maybe 2 games that weren't announced previously. I hope Smash is great but I won't be buying it so what does that leave me with? Where's Yoshi, Pikmin, Retro!?
Really enjoying my Labo set. I've built the RC car and Fishing Rod. The fishing game won't keep me coming back for long but the games are kind of secondary. The whole concept is fresh, there is nothing else like this. Well done Nintendo!
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I agree the nothing for me option should be there.
I also don't understand why we are now limited to 3 choices. Lastly, we used to get a nice little summary of the review ....we gave it a minor recommendation in our review here. I miss that!
Fantastic! What fun! This made me smile from ear to ear, I know so many kids who will absolutely love this. Parents will be happy that they are building and not just sat in front of a screen. It's actually a really good STEM project too. I get that this isn't for everyone but to all those naysayers what harm does it do? It's just a different fun way to play. Day 1 purchase for me…...for the kids of course! Lol
There have been Switch game shortages too! Amazon UK ran out of Odyssey and MK8, only available from sellers. My local game didn't have a single first party game in with "Available to order" signs displayed.
Ps. Game hiked all there prices up post Christmas, Odyssey went up to £55.
I think it looks great! It's a remake or a reimagining or what ever!? To me it looks like it's aimed at getting new Pokémon players (those who joined with Pokémon Go etc.) into the series more.
Amazon.co.uk is sold out, new stock 9 Oct. None on display in Game Telford this weekend. If there is no stock people can't buy it!
Plus, no pre-release review copies. With EA's past performance, I and many others were waiting for reviews so didn't pre-order.
What about a 'NES Classic' Switch release. All the games that were on the NES Classic compiled onto a single Cart. Surely that would sell and build on the success of the short lived NES Classic.
Am i the only one who is loosing hype? After the reveal in Jan and the FE direct I thought we'd have regular updates until launch, with at least 1 more direct. I love Nintendo games and pre-ordered as soon as I could, I've also avoided all 'stolen' footage but there's still loads the big N needs to reveal. At this point I don't even know if the eshop will work day one! Having said that will it matter, as most eshop games seem to be missing launch day anyway.
I love the range but collect them just for the figures. Nintendo need to make a game specifically for them. So we can scan in any character we like to play mini-games or a platformer. Anything would be better use than just on the shelf. That being said I keep buying them.
I agree totally. It was more fun than I thought and I enjoyed being pummeled by my 13 year old but I'm not sure it has lasting appeal. It'll be a good one to have bundled come the holiday season.
I thought Wii U was £330!? I think the system is worth it...Day 1 for me. However they should have been more aggressive with pricing. knock £20/$30 off and more would have been happier. After all the rumours of $250 some will be unhappy.
@brumspurant We've got a 0600 start too. Did you make a note of the location of the event. It flashed up on my screen but I didn't pay enough attention and now I can't remember the exact detaial ( I actually thought I'd get a confirmation email) I know registration starts at 0830 but please could you let me know the address of the venue so I can plan my underground journey?
I receieved an email today, never thought I'd get the chance to play it so soon. I'm going with my son on the Saturday morning. Might see some of you there.
@AnD4D I downloaded it and over the Christmas period we played this loads. My kids love it and all the family have enjoyed it. Thanks for the great party game!

Day 1 for me. I love it when I played it at the London preview event.

Re: Budget New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced for North America
Here's hoping for a similar UK deal. I need something to play Pokemon Moon on.
Re: Review: Paper Mario: Color Splash (Wii U)
@IAmDeclanJay agreed! This is not how we spell it in the UK and not changing it from the American spelling is just lazy!
Edit: I thought we'd moved on from days of the Gameboy Color.
