On a more serious note. This experience has completely stopped me backing any other games through Kickstarter. I tried to get my money back several times but got nowhere. I don't mind normal delays, a year would have been fine but 6 years delay, whilst releasing other projects. Utterly disrespectful of the people who supported the project and damaging to decent indie/small developers.

I backed this game because at the time my teenage son liked the look of it and thought it would be good to support the project and then play the game together. He is now 21 and has left home! 🤦‍♂️

@JackieCMarlow I completely agree. If Nintendo Life ever gets to sit down with this cowboy they should ask him why he thinks it's acceptable to take people's money and sit on it for 6 (SIX) years before finally releasing the game!

The whole Hatch Tales nonsense has put me off backing anything on Kickstarter!

They should concentrate on finishing Hatch tales which I backed but have tried to get my money back, with no success. Their contempt for us backers is appalling!

I play Shield when I can. I'm loving it! I only play a Pokemon game every 4 years or so (lack of time) but enjoying this.

I collected mine (Shield) and my son's (Sword) coping earlier. Can't wait until after work to play.

@Ooccoo_Jr I always get mine from Smyths ifnI pre-order. Usually cheapest option and they have never let me down. Twin pack is £90 collected with steel book.

Bethesda have been great supporters of Switch and I've bought all their games so far. I'll pass on this though. I thought an 8gb switch card cost the same as a disc on Xbox or PS. Oh well, it's their decision.

The board game is great! I have the base game and couple of expansions.

I actually lived the original. Playing 4 player with all my mates in a room. And maybe that's the problem I've never really been able to amass 3 others to play couch multiplayer. I could play online but I'll just get anialated by 'pros' and it's not the same. I really want to love it and think having all the franchise's together is amazing. I'm glad it sells so well because I'm a Nintendo fan and the better they do, the more Zelda/Mario etc.

Capcom milk the money out of those willing to pay through the nose to play immediately and then slash the price with a headline 50% discount, the price that it should have been to start with. It makes sense for them but not for gamers.

The article is right. If no body buys it at full price then they shouldn't try to charge that much again.

I like 4, enjoyed it on my GameCube! No need to spend £30 to play again.

Simple, just don't buy them! Then Capcom can pretend there is another reason why their games don't sell on Nintendo platforms and go away.
Didn't Nintendo even consult with Capcom on the production specs of Switch!? And they've repaid them with very little support and decisions like this.

Being pretty much a Nintendo only gamer I have missed out on all of these. I understand 7 is rated as one of the best games of all time, but it does look very dated now. I'm happy to play retro titles but the 8 bit and 16 bit seem to age better. Maybe it's just me.
I'll have to try one of them, I might just role a couple of dice and go with it! Lol

I'm completely lost with all these Final Fantasy games. Is 9 any good? Are they HD remakes or ports of PS1/2 games.

Is FF7 the same as FF7 The zodiac age? I'm guessing X-2 is a full sequel to X! How are all the others linked? It all seems too confusing to ever get into!

I'm hoping to progress with Moonlighter. I am enjoying the game and am just about to take on the 3rd boss. I don't get much time to play these days but hopefully I'll squeeze in an hour.

I've been to this building when I visit Japan in 2017. The floating escalator is cool, and great views from the top! I didn't realise this was Platinum Games' HQ.

The digital US version is much cheaper than the UK price. I might have to set up a US eshop account.
I still feel like we are over paying for a standard game just because the option with toys is priced far higher. I want to play the game but I think I'll wait until it's on sale.

P.s.does anyone know how easy it is to set up an eshop account for another country?

Surely this was never the plan, 5 years without a release. I'm sure Retro are working very hard but something must have gone wrong in development somewhere. Maybe Nintendo didn't like the direction they took a game, I don't know but if that is the case why can't they be open about it. We tried this, I didn't work so now we're working on something else. 5 years of silence is a long time!

Happy to see another game from Ubisoft. I hope it's good so that those that do pick it up enjoy!

The Banner Saga games look good. I'll seek out a physical release of the trilogy. End of September release I believe.
