@PhilMyth Exactly my thought. This is most likely about batter battery life or the removal of a large cooling system with a fan. All fits into a mini systems design.

My best guess. This is for the mini. The 16nm chips require less power and run cooler. This means that potentially the Switch Mini won't need a cooling fan, less space required.

The potential jump in clock speed isn't really big enough to warrant a Pro version but may also be for better battery life on a standard Switch revision.

@Bunkerneath There are but once the novelty wears off, pretty generic. A lot of modern games have destruction physics so it's a bit long in the tooth.

I wouldn't buy for more than £10-15.

@mist The hardest towers are a nightmare and you need to grind for consumables. It is designed to force microtransactions on you. I don't mind grinding but in a fighting game?

@TempOr Far from it. The player base is huge and the content is great. Easily the best BR game out there.

I'm hoping this is better than it looks so far. Could be a great racing game.

For me, this game is made for the Switch. Amazing in portable mode.

Why are people worried about not seeing footage before launch?

Just wait for reviews, don't buy it on day one.

Personally, I will be because there was a lot of positive feedback from people that played it at PAX.

Can't help feel a little disappointed that this is another pixel art style platformer and that it isn't getting a physical release on Switch.

Finally bought Smash Bros and absolutely loving it. Spirit board, local MP & some online for me this weekend. Also need to make some progress in Hollow Knight too.

This weekend I'm pushing on with Mario & Rabbids, Hollow Knight and throwing my Joycons at a wall whilst playing some more Enter the Gungeon.

Looks good. Just hope the visuals & frame rate hold up on Switch.

I've only just got round to playing this. One of my ever growing titles in my backlog. Great game, frustrating but very good.

@westman98 Not at a dev conference that was streamed. They will talk about it in private. I can imagine a lot of this was discussed behind closed doors though.

@westman98 Don't forget this was GDC not a public demo. It's for Devs so we shouldn't expect too much info.

Mario Kart X Forza X Wipeout.

A lot of fun in VR but i can't imagine how boring those slow early levels will be without it. Although my lunch is more likely to stay down on the Switch version.

I'm gonna spend the weekend trying to beat Mario & Rabbids. Picked it up a couple of weeks back and loving it. Cheap as chips at the moment too.

After 6 months away from Switch, I picked one up again on the day of its 2nd birthday.

Since then I've been playing Stardew Valley, Tetris 99, Mario & Rabbids and Warframe.

Switch has saved gaming for me. After nearly 40 years of gaming, I'd become bored with the glut of shooters, sports and generic open world titles. Now I've got a backlog of Nindies and I'm loving it.

The problem is that this yeae there are a lot of big titles coming for PS4 & Xbox One. Games like BF5, Read Dead 2 etc will sell consoles. You can get a One S with a game for £200!

Don't forget that you only play against Bots until you reach level 5.

Sounds good but one there's one problem. The lack of analogue triggers. I still don't understand why Nintendo doesn't incorporate them in their controllers.

Loving Sonic Mania Plus but can't tear myself away from Farcry Arcade today. Very addictive!

I was hoping for more depth but it seems to be a shooter more than an exploration game. No Man's Sky Next will have to scratch that Star Trek itch for me.

This is where frame rate comes in. Splatoon 2's motion controls were smooth, Fortnite & Doom, not so much.

@BlueOcean Agreed. Sony's games are good but meld into one pot and sometimes it's hard to tell them apart.

Just had a look at console sales figures for the UK and the Xbox One has all but kept up with PS4 since 2014. Not as big a gap as we are told.,

@Brutchie-bear That depends on what type of games you prefer. The Xbox has more exclusives geared towards online communities, such as Forza Horizon, State of Decay, Gears etc. PS4 is all about single player interactive stories, such as Uncharted.

I'm an Xbox gamer because I like multiplayer games more.

@AxeltheBuizel Not really. Having a higher frame rate makes the controller input more accurate, having a higher resolution and better draw distance makes it easier to avoid obstacles or spot enemies. A great example of this is Wolfenstein 2 or Doom on Switch v Xbox One or PS4.

@tobibra If the box was missing they may have thought it had been stolen and the cartridge could have still been sold.

They need to drop something huge because so far, 2018 has been very disappointing compared to last year.

I don't think it would affect their hardware sales but imagine the amount of money they'd make from publishing their games on Xbox & PC.

This demo was running on the Atari Box.
