@MrGawain I was just about to point this out too. Basically if they're not usable in MK8 then they're getting discontinued (except for Pikachu).

I got my Smash Bros. + GameCube adapter through yesterday. Fortunately, I cancelled my Amazon order as soon as they delayed it and switched over to ShopTo. I'm sure they'll produce a few more in time.

"Release dates and pricing for other territories have not yet been announced." No surprises there then.

I wish they'd stuck with The Apollo for the London date, as mentioned above, Wembley Arena isn't the right setting for a symphony.

This is definitely on my radar, the last one was great.

I can't wait to play this one. It's a shame it got pushed back to 2015 for Europe, I guess Nintendo decided it was better to stagger some releases after all.

@SphericalCrusher Amazon. I received an email from them at 2am on the morning I was meant to receive it, basically saying there's been a problem and that I'll have to wait until December 19th. I emailed them back and they blamed Nintendo for screwing up supply. I cancelled the order and went with Shopto who supposedly had some in stock according the their website, but I've still not had any dispatch confirmation...

@SphericalCrusher I did pre-order and I'm still without my Smash Bros. + GameCube Adapter bundle, as are many others that pre-ordered.

I've got mine preordered. Then again, I can't see it being as popular in the UK.

Hands down my favourite third-party series on the Wii. I really hope the third entry, if and when it happens, arrives on whatever Nintendo system is about at the time.

I never had problems with the controls when I was playing this as a kid, but going back to it, yeah, the physics seem a little off. That artwork makes me feel very nostalgic though.

The game's still serving me well, so I've not gotten around to the DLC yet, and with Bayonetta just around the corner Hyrule Warriors may have to go on the back burner for a while. Fortunately, as entertaining as Smash is on the 3DS I'm by no means hooked, which means more Wii U time for me.

I'm really not a fan of seeing Gorons getting beaten up. Death Mountain in Hyrule Warriors was a struggle for me in more ways than one...

7/10 is what I thought it'd get to be honest. Doesn't bother me though, that's still a good score for a spin-off of one of the best best gaming IPs of all time. Friday can't come soon enough!

Super Mario World got my vote but it was tough deciding on that or Galaxy. SMW won out due to it's replayability, though I'm not saying Galaxy isn't replayable, it's just that there are two Galaxy games and only one SMW. I must of played it at least 20 times.

I can't see Reggie nominating Iwata who's still recovering slowly. It's more likely to be Bill Trinen that he targets, if he accepts the challenge that is.

This is definitely on my radar.

I'm not a fan of the logo, it shouldn't be that big. I really like the character line up though.

I've been meaning to get around to this one and today's discount seems like the obvious time to take the plunge. The update sounds promising too, hopefully it'll arrive sooner rather than later.

I've still yet to give this a whirl, think I'd better order a new memory card pronto!

With all the characters and locations gathered together in this article, I'm starting to get quite excited about this one now. I'm not sure how long it'll hold my interest for but I'm sure it'll at least be great for some short, nostalgia-based bursts now and then.

It'd be nice to have it on Wii U, but it does just sound like another lazy port so far. I wonder why RE2 never got a remake?

Ah, that sucks. This is the game I was looking forward to the most over the Christmas period as I'm not a huge Smash fan (I know, I know...) I suppose there's still Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors though.

Still my most anticipated game of 2014!

Unfortunately I was unable to attend this concert although I went to the 25th Anniversary and last year's Symphony of the Goddesses, which were phenomenal. It does sound like this performance was put together in a short amount of time, which is a shame considering admission price. Hopefully the official tour will roll though the UK again at some point in the near future, as Eimear Noone certainly knows what she's doing.

I had to go with Wind Waker for the GameCube, although the Wii U version did improve on it, you can't beat that first play through.

Ellis is the man, he can use Maschine like no one else! He's also doing all the drum parts with his other hand.

That trailer is fantastic! I can't wait to get my hands on it, ah, if only cross-play on Nintendo's current platforms was possible... I'm going to grab the Wii U version in the meantime though.

I'm very happy about this, I'll be going with the two disc version for sure!

I see the lack of anything from Retro Studios and Next Level Games as a positive. Yesterday's event was really strong without those two studios in the mix, which is a testament to Nintendo's output. Obviously Retro and Next Level will have something to show us in the near future - that will most likely blow our minds - and knowing that's yet to come on top of what we saw yesterday... Well, it's certainly a great time to be a Nintendo fan!

As pleased as I am that Capcom is bringing all these titles to the VC, it's very much just cashing in on a series that it can not be bothered to continue with, which is pretty disappointing.

I'd love for this to come to Wii U as the last entry was a solid title, but to be honest I can't really see it happening.

@minotaurgamer There are no hints to DLC within the game as far as I know, but there were no hints within Pikmin 3's menus either, until Nintendo released a software update.

DLC being available for a Mario Kart 8 in the future is by no means a far fetched idea, infact it's entirely plausible based upon the reasons given. This article is also clearly speculative, so it shouldn't come across as misleading.

I'll definitely be having a read of this, Koji Kondo is the master! I'd really like it if Akira Yomaoka and Masafumi Takada were to get the same in-depth treatment too.

The Malaysian version of pipe Mario has a base according to the picture, maybe that means he won't be erm... pop-able?

Other M wasn't terrible by any means, it just wasn't a great entry in an otherwise acclaimed series.

Anyway... The Pikmin and Super Mario Galaxy demakes look great.

I really want to try this out based on its three-star review. I love the NES games but I've not played the GB series apart from the first one, which was alright.

Ah, I been waiting for this one to be reviewed. I might give download this weekend if I can put down Mole Mania... Good work, Conor!

I would of loved a steelbook version of Metroid Prime Trilogy, alas a slipcase will have to suffice.
