I'm at recruiting Rhondson, but she doesn't seem to have a prompt to move to Tarrey Town, she just asks if I'm looking for a lost love or something like that. Stumbled upon the Tarrey Town stuff like a week ago, got stuck here, gave up on it till I beat the game, now I'm back and still stuck lol.
Ran into an annoying bug in Snake Pass I wanted to let people know about. In the level called Searing Shrine in world 3, there is a puzzle area near the yellow keystone where part of the solution is to lower a lever to release a boulder down a slide. For me it did not work, I depressed the lever and the ball never moved. I restarted the level and tried it again and it worked like it was supposed to. Just a heads up, you may want to focus on doing that section of the level first to make sure you don't have that problem. For me it was literally the last thing I had to do in the level so I lost all my progress.
Loving this game so far, but one question for people out there: is there a trick to boosting at the start of a race? Or just it depend on the acceleration rating of your vehicle?
A neat idea I had for this is if they would have made each minigame available for a weeklong demo. A different minigame each week, then it rotates to a different one. Be a nice side thing to play around with in the early months while the game lineup is getting fleshed out.
So it's looking like March will bring me Zelda, I Am Setsuna, Snake Pass, and now Disgaea 5. Gonna be a busy month! I wish they'd announce the prices with these games though.
Already going to be dropping a lot of money on the 3rd and don't see the launch day content worth adding another $20 to it. But by the time the summer pack comes out things will have slowed down and I doubt I'll mind spending more for more fun in Hyrule!
That's fine by me, I see no need for a company to waste time and resources porting over a months old game that would most likely not sell well (most who want it would already have played it elsewhere) and make other third parties shy away from bringing future games to the Switch. I just want to see some third party support with games that release once the Switch is out there for a while and has a decent install base.
@JaxonH I'm right there with you. It was fun to see people playing those levels full of enemies and ridiculously hard, but its already getting to be a bit much to watch. I really look forward to finding talented level designers who make solid balanced levels of a quality seen in normal Mario games. Which makes me ask, is it possible to follow a certain designer and see when they release a new level?
@Blastcorp64 I know you can have scrolling levels, and can even set the speed it scrolls at. I know there's a certain degree of verticality to the levels but not a ton.
I wish strategy games like Sid Meier games, Europa Universalis, and Crusader Kings etc would come to the Wii U, I think they would be great with the gamepad. I'll go back to dreaming though.
I don't care that I'm broke, if they put this up for preinstall in North America I would immediately get it. Just the satisfaction of knowing it's right there on my Wii U would be worth the cost.
All this excitement, then comes the Direct: Iwata says sorry for the inconvenience, but we have to make minor bug fixes and performances issues. Then my head explodes with frustration.
Great, now we can wait for them to release one every few weeks like with everything else on VC. Hopefully they start with games no one wants while promising great ones that take forever to arrive. Sorry for the pessimism but Nintendo has really disappointed with VC support for the Wii U.
Ok guys, I'm playing and loving SMT IV, and I might get one of the others while they are discounted. Between Devil Summoner and Devil Survivor, which do you prefer?
My daughter loves playing these difference games, so I downloaded it. My complaint is that there should be a setting with no timer. My daughter's four and most of the differences are pretty hard to spot, even for me. She can't really find much in the short period of time given. We got frustrated with it quickly.
I enjoyed this game more than most seemed to. I suppose its because I've always been big on collecting as many coins as I can in Mario platformers, so this played right into that. Perhaps I'll take a break from Dream Team for a couple days and revisit this in celebration.
@ricklongo I was the same way, had never played any Mario rpgs. This game looked interesting so I wanted to get a feel for what it was like.
So I bought Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. I'm over twenty hours into it now and have loved nearly every second of it. Its just a fantastic game. So, following this experience, I've made Dream Team a day one purchase for me.
I'll probably grab up a PS4 later in its life span once it goes down in price and catch up on the major releases I will have missed. Definitely will want to catch up on any Uncharted and God of War games that will come out. But I definitely won't be one of the people standing in line day one for it. Nintendo will do just fine for the next few years.
I have a question about this game. As I understand it, you buy figurines to unlock characters to play in the game. But seeing some of the previews has me wondering: do you have to buy every single character in the game, or are minor or secondary characters unlocked with the purchase of a major character from their film. Example: would Fix-It-Felix be unlocked by buying a Wreck-It Ralph, or are they separate purchases?
Because if you have to buy every single character, minor as well as major, that could be VERY expensive.
I would think that large scale strategy games like Civilization or Rome: Total War would be great on the Wii U. The main map could be on beautiful HD on the TV and all the menus and interactive stuff could be on the gamepad. Don't know about anyone else, but that sounds interesting.

Haven't stopped playing Zelda and Fast RMX long enough to want to watch Netflix tbh.
Re: Feature: FAST RMX - The Price, Modes and Performance of Switch's Futuristic Racer
So it looks like March 3rd will be a physical copy of Zelda and a download of this. And that should take care of March...

Excited for Mario & Luigi, that needs to hurry up and be released. Guess its kind of sad that this is probably the highlight of the Direct for me.

Re: Review: Unepic (Wii U eShop)
Really good game. I'm still early on in it but it is very promising. If you're an rpg fan, I can't recommend this game enough.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty One
For me it's going to be Unepic for the Wii U and Shin Megami Tensei IV for the 3ds.

Weren't those Atlus games just on sale until the 6th? Why would they take them off sale for a week or so, just to put them back up on sale for a week?
